Sabe had used a few connections that he had and found that Isolde still lived in the capital, even where she currently worked. He knew that he had to find her and talk to her for it had been a very long time since he had done so. He would smile as he moved down the street towards her place of residence. He just hopped that she wasn't still with that other person, he knew after all that she could do so much better than what she had already done. He was fresh and clean leaning on his his wood cane that looked very similar to that of a small tree stump, its roots seeming to be hard to place your hand and even harder to take away in the case. It was special and he enjoyed it but he was also in deep anticipation on reaching her and just having the ability to talk to her. He moved until he was before the house and knocked on the door, making sure at the last moment that he was still fresh and clean, with little to no dirt on his talons. His wings held proudly behind him and his head held high. So that his rank could be seen clearly. |

 Today was her spring cleaning day and she certainly looked the part. Her fur was a mess of dirt and grime as she had been very diligent in getting every nook and cranny in the house. All she wanted was a nice hot bath but she knew she had a ways to go in the house. Why did they need such a large house anyway? There were six bedrooms for only three people! Back at her own apartment, she only had a one bedroom and that was just fine for her. To each their own she supposed, she had never bothered to ask Aeron why he and Maji had such a large house. When she heard the doorbell, she gave herself the once-over in the mirror, sighed, and answered the door. She stood there in shock at who was on the other side looking at her. " S-Sabe?..." she stuttered out. |

Sabes heart was pounding rapidly waiting for someone to answer the door. He hoped that it would be her, and on the other hand hoped that it wouldn't all in the same. If she didn't answer then he could find something to ask for and see if she was here to know what she was doing and to let her know that he was here to see her, though if it was her, then it would be a stutter moment.
And it was her...
He just smiled largely and resisted the urge to reach down and give her a large hug. Though he regained himself really quick and spoke before he done something. "Yes, though I'm much more used to hearing your majesty, though sabe works just fine as well." he said as he went to reach for her, but instead pulled himself back wondering what her status was at this moment. Was she with someone, or was she single. He didn't know and just decided that he would wait for her to respond.
"I haven't seen you in so long that I have already forgotten how beautiful you are!" he said once more, still wanting to at least give her some sort of hug.

Isolde didn't know what to say, it had been so long since she'd seen him... and he was titled now. She was blown away. She stared at him for a moment, taking him in completely. Well he always was a handsome avian she smirked to herself. She wanted to run into his embrace but she hesitated wondering if it would be right of her. Was he with someone now? They had parted ways on awkward terms and she didn't know what to do. Aeron was away and she felt so vulnerable looking at Sabe. It had been too long since she had been with someone else.
"I-do you want to come in?" she stumbled out. She was finding he had the ability to make her trip over every word... same ole' same ole' she supposed. What she really wanted to know though was what he was thinking at the moment.

It didn't really help him all that much that he could hear his heart thumping in his chest so rapidly that it made his ears ring. He would though just smile and nodded once entering the house after her, or before if she wanted him to enter first.
Either or he would stumble a bit trying to not take his eyes off her. God how he had loved this woman, and being this close to her once more just made his heart scream aloud with envy for her and who ever she was with at this moment.
He would stand there for a second looking at her before opening his beak to talk, "Isolde, Its great to see you ... um... again." he said scratching the back of his head with one of his hands, his face seeming to be a bit warming looking. "What have you been up to?" he said as he blushed a bit more, not really knowing what to say or do.

 Maji was in the back putting away laundry that she had put off for some time now, when she had heard the knock at the door. Knowing that Isolde would answer it she took her time finishing her task before heading to the front of the house to see who it was. “Isolde, who was a….” She stopped in mid sentence when she saw the tall heron. She remembered that awkward day when he had come to drop off the package and how she had slammed the door in his face. She turned a deep crimson, but it was hidden by her blue feathers the only sign that she was nervous was the fact that she was fiddling because she really was not sure what to do. “ummm uuuhhh…w-who is this Isolde? Y-you did not tell me t-that we were expecting company…” she stuttered her words a little as she tried to be polite in front of the unexpected company. |

Awkward... Isolde didn't know what to do or say now in Sabe's presence. So much had happened since the last time he had been in town but she didn't want to give him the wrong idea. She was lonely with Aeron not around but she loved him so she would try and be loyal. Being in Sabe's presence though made it hard for her to breathe let alone think of something.
She was just letting Sabe in the door when she heard Maji coming up. "Oh Maji darling you scared me, this is Sabe. Sabe this is my mate's mother, Maji"
Isolde could feel the nervousness creeping in. She tried so hard not to let her two worlds collide but here they were. She was just relieved that Aeron wasn't around to witness this. He probably would have known right away that something was going on. She just hoped that Maji wouldn't pick anything up.

Sabe was just inside the door when she just walked through from the back room. He thought back on the time that he had to deliver a package that had been over due for quite some time. He knew full well that it had to be delivered and he opted to do it himself. He remembered the awkwardness that he had encountered there as well.
So he would just smile and blush, though his maroon colored feathers on his face wouldn't be able to cover the full pink that fell into place. He would turn his head and let out a small cough and then turn back to them, feeling the full mood change that had just happened.
Oh what to say? He had been in love with Isolde, and yet here was someone that he liked at first meeting since seeing her through the door crack and the near fall that could have been disastrous. How he had caught her in mid fall, there beaks so close together that they could have...
"Um... hello Majida... I remember meeting you... Umm... delivered a parcel to your house... umm... whats the odds huh? Meeting you here..." he said as he looked away leaning heavily on his oak walking stick.
He couldn't really believe that he was put into a really awkward position yet again.

Maji was of course oblivious to the fact that Isolde and the man that stood before them were once lovers, the only thing that she could think about was the fact that the handsome tall man was once again in front of her and she didn’t know how to act. She knew that it was rude to not say anything to either of them yet she also knew that even if she opened her beak to talk nothing would come out. Luckily it was not her voice that replied first to the situation.
She looked at Isolde with a little bit of concern, she hadn’t meant to scare the young woman. “I’m sorry Isolde; I didn’t mean to startle you.” She said to the other women kind of ignoring the elephant in the room. She then turned to Sabe once he addressed her. She looked him up and down with her eyes and instinctively she began to wrap her winged arms around her body. She still didn’t fully trust men, but at least he wasn’t a lowlander….she had to try very hard to not balk at the thought of those creatures. She took a deep breath to try and calm herself before talking to the man whom addressed and stood before her. “Its nice to meet you again, Sabe?” she never caught the man’s name in their last encounter, but she was a little puzzled by the fact that he would think that it strange that she lived here since this was her home and Aeron’s house. “The odds?” she asked in a puzzled tone.

Well these two certainly looked... familiar... Hmm. No bad Isolde, you are not going to get jealous over this when you're already taken. Bad. Bad. Bad. She shook out of her stupor and watched the two interact. It shouldn't have surprised her that much that the two would meet, after all Sabe did perform a public service but still... she worked so hard to keep her personal life from her home and she just did not want her secrets revealed in this way.
"Oh so you know each other. Great. Shall we go and sit in the living room?" Quick thinking, she was obviously showing complete jealousy but this would at least give her a chance to think of what to say. This situation was not going to be easy to handle and she knew it. But she knew Majida was lonely so she was not going to screw it up if it turned out she liked Sabe... as weird as that would be.
