I'm very sorry for your loss, Jenn. I am glad your Grandad's not in pain anymore and hope the rest of your family (yourself included) heal quickly.
Best wishes to your mum in handling all the ick - it's not a pleasant task. My granny passed a few years ago, and it certainly wasn't easy.
*hugluffs if you want them* Let me know if you need to talk. We're here for you. <3

*Kisses Jenn on her Cheek* We love you oh so much.
Time doesn't heal, but it does make things easier to manage with its passing. Like Cally said, I'm glad he's not in pain anymore and that he was surrounded by those who loved him.
My phone number is (618) 407-2607 if you wanna BS text, or text about what you're feeling. Love you.

Oh Jenn, you have my deepest sympathies on the loss of your grandfather. You've lost someone who was a special part of your family. I'm glad he's no longer in pain anymore, and that he was surrounded by those who loved him. My thoughts are with you and your family during this heartbreaking time. There's nothing more I can say that will ease the pain, but I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you. *hugs*

I don't know why I haven't responded to this until now.
*hugs tightly* I'm so sorry he's gone. He seemed to me like he was fighting until the end. He was such a strong person! I'm glad that he got to be surrounded by those who love him when he went, though - in that situation, when the body is failing all at once, is there a better way to go? He knew that he was loved by so many.
Take care of yourself, too.

Love to you all. <3
Okay, so we're taking Nanna in for a heart catheterization procedure tomorrow. Her main artery came back with "abnormal" results from her stress test. It's also the artery she had two of four stents put in last May, and the artery with blockages that ultimately killed Granddad.
Absolute best case scenario, they put in more stents. There were blockages detected during her procedure in May that weren't as critical as the ones dealt with (like 60% and 70% instead of 90-100%) that have probably gotten worse.
Worst case scenario sucks balls. She's not a candidate for bypass surgery. There's no way in hell she'd survive it. At all.
We all went out for corned beef and cabbage with corn bread tonight. It felt disturbingly like a "last hurrah" to me, but was also a wonderful time. So let's just think of it as the deliciousness before she has to choke down bland and boring hospital food.
*crosses fingers*
Mom and I took off work tomorrow to get her to the hospital by 6:30am. Expect me to be totally out of it tomorrow.

...and I am suddenly very disturbed by the thought that tomorrow is one month since Granddad died. Fuck. ;______;
