Kari!! <3 I love Coin Operated Boy. I've had that song on my iPod for years.

Awesome Lauryn! XD I used that song to drive away one of my college roommates. She hated it for some reason, along with like, half my school. *loves it so hard though*

Holy Poop! I didn't know Jackson Rathborn sang too!
And I'm really digging The Birthday Massacre!
XD Some of these videos, like the dancing men, just made me giggle. <3

You're not weird, Kari! Just eclectic! My friends think I'm weird, too, because my mixes tend to be MIXES - and tend to not make sense to anyone else but me. Haha.
I had the great privilege of seeing the Dresden Dolls open for Nine Inch Nails some years ago. It was awesome. I also love their "Girl Anachronism" song. Soooo awesome.

HEY. Fun idea (maybe?)!
All this music jabber gave me an idea: Does anyone want to do a music swap? It could be similar to the Secret Santa - all of us put our names in and then we do a random drawing to see who gets what? You know, old fashion CD rips with a little jacket? We could do crazy mixes of our favorite jams or songs we think someone else would find interesting, or something? I mean, who doesn't like getting awesome stuff in the mail? Anyone interested??

I'll wholeheartedly echo what Kari said -- Pandora is an excellent tool for discovering music. Beyond that, it's difficult to give suggestions without knowing what genres you enjoy. But as for me, in the past couple of years I've become an unabashed prog-head (or whatever they call themselves). Accordingly, my recent favorite bands include Transatlantic and Spock's Beard on the lighter end of the spectrum, and Threshold on the heavier. Sample songs: * Transatlantic - "Mystery Train": www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vqm9mG9XIDk* Spock's Beard - "Long Time Suffering": www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hJEOykBImY* Threshold - "Mission Profile": www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9KwxWTYYfA

The soundtrack to the Queen of the Damned movie is the BEST soundtrack I have ever heard!
