Graeme turned to give his maid a cultured smile, and if he saw anything strange in her manner, he didn't show it at all. In truth, Mrs. White had been his maid for so many years that he thought he knew all her little quirks, and attributed most of them to dottiness and overworking. Of course, she was also a Tulgey, which just added an overall aura of odd to her that he barely even noticed anymore.
He accepted his tea with a nod and sipped at it contentedly. Two sugars, just as he liked it.
Mrs. White, still smiling sweetly, gave a little half bow to Keilani and passed her the teacup, filled to the brim with steaming, fragrant tea. "There are also a few sweets here I thought you may enjoy," she said brightly, setting a plate filled with a few pastries onto the small end table near Keilani.
"Thank ye, Mrs. White," Graeme said with a wave of his hand at her. "Ye may go now." He turned back to his guest as if the Feline was no longer in the room, not noticing the flicker of a scowl that crossed his maid's face as she turned and stalked back out of the room. "Now...would ye like t'go as soon as possible? After a wee bit o'tea?"
