Despite all his training in these sorts of matters, Colin had never actually been to a gathering of nobility this large before, or from this many different Suits. So many important Cards in the room...he would have felt intimidated if he were of any lower Rank and Title. Even as it was, it was a little worrying to think about the fact that everyone would want to hear about Donnie, and what had become of her. Luckily, Colin had gone through no small amount of trouble to find out this very information as exactly as he could in the weeks following the incidents. It was mysteriously difficult to find any information on the former Queen of Spades, but...he'd managed to find out enough that he hoped it would satisfy everyone.
The Cardinal turned to give Parsley a small nod. He was glad the boy had come, despite not ever knowing him well before this. One reason, of course, being that it meant he wasn't the only one here with just his Animal form. Seeing the Clubs introduce themselves first (and wasn't that a bit surreal, seeing Clubs and Hearts making nice?) Colin gestured with a wing and then walked over to the two Humans himself, trusting his fellow Spade to follow.
"Your Highness, Your Excellence, on behalf of the Court of Spades, I, Queen Colin, and this, His Highness Parsley, have come today to represent our Suit." He offered them each a bow, though not a very low one considering he actually outranked both of them. He stood near the Clubs, though a bit apart from them, and studied them out of the corner of his eye. It took him a moment to realize he'd met one of them before. His Majesty Sabe...had the man been titled, then? He couldn't recall, but then, he couldn't recall a number of things from that night, much to his embarrassment. The poor Heron looked like...well, to put it bluntly, he looked like hell.

As much as it would be delightful to have a small talk with the Jack, Apocalypse didn't have the chance. The other nobles were starting to arrive, and they were arriving in droves. It was like they'd always told him: When it rained, it poured. "I'll go ahead and take care of that," he replied in a quiet voice, then turned his attention to the group as it assembled, a pleasant smile slowly spreading across his face.
There were a few familiar faces in the group, but none quite so familiar as that of Thyme. He felt his smile become almost genuine for a moment, giving her a respectful bow of his head.
---
A dance party? Sadie couldn't help but quirk a grin at that one, shaking her head ever so slightly. "I honestly hope not. You've seen me try to dance - it wouldn't do anything for their view of our Court if they had to witness it, too.[/b]" She selected a seat beside her fellow Queen, folding her hands in her lap and taking note of the others who were sitting around her. She recognized the representatives from Hearts, of course, noting with a small bit of pride that the Bog King looked distinctly more nervous now that there were Yarrows in the room. The Kings from Clubs were familiar on some level though she did not know them directly, along with their Queen, and...
...Something in her blood seemed to chill as she looked upon the Cardinal.
Who was that man? There had been three Queens when last she'd heard, and he had not been among their ranks. She fought back the nervousness that gnawed at her, masking it with a smile and a healthy dose of Charm. "A pleasure, indeed, to finally see all of these faces in person. I am Queen Sadie, and this is Her Majesty Thalia.[/b]" She motioned to the woman beside her.
---
The introductions seemed to be going smoothly. Once the assembled Nobility had finished their introductions, he stood, the smile fading and giving way to a much more calm expression. "Greetings. I hope the day finds you all well, and that your travels here went as smoothly as possible. I am Apocalypse, and this is Her Excellence, Peaches." He paused to smile at the Jack, then the business face was put right back into place. "Before we get started, I would like to extend my thanks to all of you for taking the time to come here in what is, no doubt, a very busy time for you all. These are trying times and we need to do our part to ensure the situation doesn't get worse.
As I am sure you are all aware, the recent events which have rocked the world have demolished two entire Realms and resulted in the loss of thousands of lives. We have called you all together to discuss what has happened, as I am sure that some of you were direct witness to what happened. I, myself, was an unwilling participant in the events that took place, though I still don't have a good grasp on exactly what caused this all. We all have questions and need information - for the better of all of the Suits." He paused, biting his lower lip softly before mentally swatting himself, and took another deep breath. "Now is the time to reforge our relationships with each other. Stability in this unstable time is a valuable thing."

Sabe gave the slightest thought of all the others in the room but paid close attention to what everyone was saying. There were many powerful people in this room and he was glad for the fact that The Queen of Hearts wasn't here representing the Court of Hearts. Though the others here seemed quite young as well, it made him feel old. He was happy that there was new blood in the courts, which would mean that some wouldn't mind changing the views that have been set for as long as the records had been in place. Like how most of the time the Courts of Hearts and Diamonds have been in power and decided much of what went about the Regions. He hopped to bloister his own court in the next few years to even stand against the Court of Hearts. It was a long term dream, but one that he hopped to see in fruition in his life time.
Once the greeting were done did he listen to King Apocalypse and what he had to say, it was correct... it was time for the courts to start communicating more than they had ever had before. If the destruction of two realms wouldn't help that cause then nothing would. Though the pause between what he had started and how the Courts should start communicating was something that he didn't skip over... it seemed that even to this day the Court of Hearts wanted to remain atop of all, and over see all.
He cleared his throat and leaned a bit forward placing his elbows on the table, his rank and suit covered with scars from his own venture in the Court of Hearts. "I concur with the Courts to strengthen their bonds between one another and opening our minds to the idea of sharing information." he said looking to the human and biding his time on what he really wanted to ask the Hearts... though for now he would let others voice out their own conclusions and only say what he needed too and when.

Yick. Clubs. It took a bit of effort to keep her neutral yet cordial expression during the introductions. She wasn't a particular fan of the Clubs in the slightest, but at least they were being polite about things. She eyed the Heron. Was that the person that her daughter had supposedly beaten the tar out of and didn't remember? He looked like what Lucious had described. Wonderful, hopefully he wouldn't bring it up. The Queens of Diamonds were looking rather splendid and the Queen of Spades looked like an interesting fellow. Wonderful all around, wasn't it?
Peaches gave a her slight bow in greeting when appropriate. She gave Apocalypse a bright smile in return before putting on her game face. The man spoke eloquently when he wanted to. Maybe that's why Xiven was so fond of him?
The Jack glanced at the papers briefly as the Queen of Clubs spoke. Wonderful for him stating the obvious. With a smile the Jack decided to add a bit more to Apocalypse's words. "We will hopefully be discussing what occurred in the Capital City first and then moving our way outwards to the Realms and the Courts."
--
Parsley felt a bit out of place during the meeting. But at least he could provide moral support to the Queen of Spades. They seemed to be the only ones with their animal forms today. He glanced over to his sister before she introduced herself.
When Colin introduced him he gave a bow to the two nobles. "It's a pleasure," he spoke quietly before slipping away to take his seat. He had prearranged a few notes on the various topics he supposed they would cover. And his thoughts were confirmed when the Jack spoke up of the order they were supposed to speak in.

Colin took his seat, next to where Parsley was sitting, and folded his wings on the table in front of him, doing his best to look calm and alert. He could only assume this meeting would be long, painful, and emotional. Not to mention he'd need to give a full account of what had happened in Spades and why he was now the Queen of his entire Suit. It was certainly a good thing that he'd forced himself to take a bit of time off the day before to play piano for the first time in over a month. It was the only thing allowing him to remain so peaceful despite everything.
He turned to give Parsley an approving nod as he saw him take out the notes. Good. Did that mean he actually knew something? Unfortunately, there hadn't been a lot of time for Colin to talk to the Squirrel about this beforehand, with all the last minute preparations that had to be made. Of course, no sooner had he tried to give his full attention to the Hearts, who were taking control of the meeting as usual, than he felt cold prickles on the back of his neck. He subtly peeked behind his back and found the Queen of Diamonds staring at him. And she was a Yarrow. Great. What had he done now? Or was she just unhappy that the ruler of Spades was no longer female?

So Spades had undergone a full change in leadership? Thyme found herself startled. No one had mentioned this at the palace, but then, she hadn't given herself much time for gossip in the aftermath of the... disasters, she supposed. Had no one simply remembered to brief them on the regime change?
Platitudes and polite nothings filled the air for a short time, obligatory in a setting such as this, until Peaches addressed the actual matter at hand in a form that their discussion could follow. Good. She appreciated the Hearts' taking this event into their own hands even more for that.
"I have little experience with what occurred in the Courts or Realms, but I was briefly involved in the events that took place in the Capital. Whatever madness afflicted the general populace brought Her Highness Mephitisia our way, as well as several children from the palace of Hearts. The King was unfortunately beyond the point of reason due to what I can only assume was external influence and attacked our party without cause. A Heart's prowess in a fight has not been exaggerated. However, she was eventually brought down by something within her in what I am told is a disturbing anomaly that affected individuals from many Courts."[/color]
But not her own, thank the Suits.
