(( OOC: XD .... awesome. ))
Kafziel remained hidden, though she strained to hear what everyone was saying. She wanted to hear a story!
Rosemary eyed the Esterberry. He must have been stupid. Aces weren't people. That was simply a rule of thumb. They had no magic, they had no way to change their suit, they had no aspirations and most of them were as dumb as paste.
Though it was quite clear that this one wasn't one of the Aces that was dumb as paste. Rosemary's ears perked as focused on the little creature. Though the story seemed to be taken from several different sources, it was interesting. Which was more than she could say for the tales of Tulgey told by the outside world. If he had picked that story to tell her she probably would have just walked away with Kafziel to leave them in the middle of nowhere.
As it was she was actually impressed with the Ace. An Ace. Who would have thought that would happen. "Congratulations," she said with a smile. "If you'll follow me I'll lead you both out of the Woods."
She grinned down at the Ace. It took a good deal of her will power to refrain from pinching his cheeks and hugging him. "You shouldn't step foot anywhere near here. There are far too many people in the Wood who would want your pelt and be completely unconvinced by your manners. And you're entirely too cute to be made into a handbag." She turned to Esterberry. "And you, sir, should know better. Listen to your parents when they tell you that Tulgey is dangerous. Because I can assure you that plenty of people would have just killed you."
The wolf squirrel's tail curled as she motioned for them to walk ahead of her. She wasn't going to let them walk behind her.
"Stay there Kafziel," she called out to her daughter. She knew the girl wouldn't listen but she had to at least say something.
