Lythero was not as good as he could have been. He still wasn't perfect, but at the rate he was going he was always going to be strange in some fashion. Stupid squirrel body was so frail it just made him look meek despite being mostly wolf now. At least he had managed to get some talons. Though unruly they they were actually useful. His human form was still pitiful.... That wasn't here or there today. He had managed to track down the delightful Nellwyn White. Now that he was the proper gender and closer to the right breed he could have proper sit down with the beautiful woman. He slowly fixed the bouquet, plucking a slightly drooping petal. Pure white and perfection. Hopefully she would enjoy these. Women seemed to like flowers though she... she wasn't like the other Outside Tulgey. She still had her edge. He knocked on the door lightly. Hopefully she wouldn't be too surprised by his visit.

Mrs. White lived and worked at the grand mansion belonging to one Graeme McDuck, the richest Duck in the Highlands. She hated every minute of it. She hated having to work under such a fool. Since she was one of the few servants he kept constantly on staff and in the house, and she was tidying up the sitting room that morning, she was the one who got the door. Quite luckily, considering who it was. At first, her pink eyes were wide and innocent, and she had a cheerful, slightly airy demeanor about her, while inwardly she stewed about annoying interruptions. " Hello, welcome to the McDuck Manor. If you're here to..." The well rehearsed speech died on her tongue when she saw who it was, and her eyes flickered with glee and a flash of what Lythero would actually recognize. She studied him for a moment, but there could be no doubt who this was, despite the mixed species. In fact, he now looked even more like the lost Queen. " Lythero?" she whispered, a smile pulling at the corners of her mouth, showing fang. Her gaze shifted to the flowers, and an eyebrow went up, though part of her was very happy with the gesture. " It's a pleasure to see you again," she mumbled quietly, tail giving a slight twitch. She glanced back behind her quickly. McDuck was at work, but if any of the other servants saw him, there would be talk. Not to mention, Nellwyn was trying to fight to the surface, and Mrs. White wasn't going to keep her down for long. Not with -him- here. " I hope we're going somewhere else. I'm afraid this disgusting monument to the wealth of a fool of a Outsider is a poor place to be." Her voice changed subtly towards the end of that sentence, almost as if it were another speaking. Nellwyn could finally speak her mind around Lythero, and she wasn't going to let that opportunity go to waste.

This was certainly a different view of Mrs. White, wasn't it? He remained poised with the flowers, offering them to her when she paused in her speech. He still found it amazing that the woman worked for an Outsider--a Highlander especially-- and didn't kill him in his sleep. She sounded a bit off though.
"Yes Mrs. White, it's me. I thought I would wait to return to you until I looked a bit more proper. I apologize it took me so long and I had to drop by unannounced." He gave her a bright smile, something that he rarely bothered to use and probably looked a bit off. It was good that she was happy to see him again.
Ah, there was that tone that he recognized. "I had no intention of forcing you to stay in your place of employment. I found a nice little shop we can have a bite at that has more respectful employees and service than the last. Shall we?"

"Oh, no worries at all! I understand." Mrs. White smiled, a look that was a bit too polite on her, but her left ear twitched, hearing sounds of one of the cooks shuffling in the kitchen. Could she really just sneak out without telling anyone? She wasn't sure she should...but her dark nature was encouraging it. Threatening harm to the servants if they stayed any longer in this cursed place. Mrs. White had little beef with the other servants of the house, and even if she did, she blamed all of it on McDuck, the horrible Scrooge. He barely bothered to pay them a decent salary. It was no wonder he couldn't get very pleasant Cards to work for him.
So decided, the Feline nodded, her eyes gleaming with a slightly feral look of anticipation. The last time she'd been with Lythero...well, she hadn't had that much fun in ever so long, nor been so free. "Certainly," Nellwyn said, and the tone was a mockery of the previous politeness. Oh, Lythero was above her, she understood, but...they were equals in another sense. Proud Tulgeys among a bunch of mixed-Realm simpletons who understood nothing. A break from all that was just what she needed. Taking the flowers carefully in her mouth and admiring how very white they were, she only backed inside enough to set them in the vase by the door, where she would place them somewhere else at her leisure, and then she moved out of the horrible house and shut the door with a satisfying slam.

Odd. Was it his imagination or was she acting funny? Then again he had caught her at random. It was probably just because she was working that she was being so... off. Whatever it was it seemed to be passing.
He looked a bit more cheerful when she slammed the door. He started to lead the way to the little restaurant. It was a bit of a walk but they had plenty to catch up on. "I'm surprised you're still working for a Highlander. They're quite incompetent. I wanted one to give me a proper favor to turn me into a pure wolf and this is what it did to me."
He motioned up and down with a frown. "He paid for this dearly, but his spell was irreversible so I'm stuck like this. Anyway, it's rude of me to go on. What have you been up to, herm?"

Nellwyn left Mrs. White behind with the slamming of the door, shedding her and reveling in her freedom from rules and politeness for a time. It was true that she hated the necessity of her 'other self', almost as much as she hated McDuck and his ilk who were the cause. Of course, the root cause of the problem was still her horrible brother. Someday she'd find him and he would -pay-.
She sighed. "Yes, he's a fool. Unfortunately, my efforts towards bettering myself until I'm ready to spring the trap on him and kill him are going slower than I had anticipated," she said with a snarl in her voice, eyes dark and promising death. "But it will happen, and when it does, he -will- pay! I will taste his blood and emerge the victor." She frowned and looked over at his form. So that was why he looked so...mixed up. She did remember him saying he would see a mage, last time. "Ugh, that is unfortunate. At least you have impressive claws." She admired his bird talons for a moment, fluffy ears resting comfortably on her head.
She shrugged, frowning. "I've been up to nothing of importance." She was leading some fool Torquehelm on and forcing him to fall in love with her so she could break his heart, but that wasn't something she thought Lythero would appreciate. The man was a Tulgey through and through, but he preferred direct methods to more subtle ones. It was why, she suspected, he couldn't even pretend to live among Outsiders. Not that he'd want to, of course. And not that she would be if she had her choice. She found herself yearning for the darkness of the Woods, in that moment, as she hadn't for years.

"Just like an Outsider. They can't even die properly when you want them to," he said with a small smirk. At least she was still slowly going through with her plan. She had a delightful amount of determination. He had no doubt that she would actually reach her goal and stand victorious. And it would certainly be a sweet victory.
"Thank you, they do make this nightmare a little better," he spoke quietly as he eyed his talons with a bit of a frown. It wasn't what he wanted, but it wasn't like there was a way to fix the mess that he was now. At least it was better than being a cute little squirrel.
"Oh? I'm sorry to hear that," He said after a moment of eying the feline. "I do hope you're not belittling your actions. I do think anything you're plotting would be better than what the boring lot in the Woods. The only useful noble is far too old to help me properly."
It was a shame she was stuck here in the Highlands. Oh well, he wasn't about to do anything rash and she could take her sweet time with revenge.
He paused when they came to the little restaurant., he opened the door for the feline. It was an out of the way little place that seemed to be rather slow. However the woman near the front door greeted the feline instantly.

Mrs. White bared her teeth in a slight snarl, her fur fluffing up a bit more at the thought of how deep her loathing for her employer was. "I know. Sometimes I wish I could just kill him in his sleep, but that would be too good a death for all the things he's made me endure." Her pink eyes burned with cold fury and her claws extended to leave gashes in the ground as she walked. Okay, it would do her no good to get riled up about it just yet. She had to be calm, and she had to master her rage and put it to use. Maybe later she could go find a few low-lifes to kill to work off some steam, she thought.
Listening to Lythero and slowly making her exterior calm and cold, she turned swiftly at what he was saying. "Even those you found in the Wood itself are complacent?" she asked on a hiss. That was bad news indeed. How far had they all fallen? "The Jubjubs take their brains," she added under her breath, savagely. She paused to consider something. How would her parents react to Lythero's overtures? Perhaps she could send him their way. They, of all Cards, should surely hold to the old ways.
But she would have to bring it up later, for they were suddenly there. She walked in, looking around with a critical eye, fluffy tail swishing. She eyed the woman who greeted her, gaze lazy and predator-like. Letting the woman know that she would reserve judgement about her, but that she'd better be as polite as Lythero had said.

Lythero couldn't help but reflect on how wonderful the cat was. Finding someone with a dash of spirit seemed impossible in this day and age.
The Highlander woman seemed to hesitate for a fraction of a second when the feline eyed her. She brushed down her fur and dress a bit before pulling menu's out of their wooden stand. "Just two of you? Right this way please!" she said in a most chipper tone. She brought them to a clean table that had a nice vase filled with fresh flowers.
Lythero quietly took a seat and was promptly handed a menu by the cheerful woman. She waited for the feline to take a seat before saying he piece about the waitress being right with them.
The Tulgey Queen eyes the menu for a long moment. Did he really care about food at all? No. Not one bit. "Maybe we can have a little fun here too if the service happens to be bad today," he said as he idly flicked a page.

Nellwyn noticed the hesitation, and she smirked at the waitress's back as she led them to their table. Hopefully she'd given the waitress enough of a sign that she'd better treat these customers right, but it was hard to tell with Highlanders, they could be so insufferably stupid. Tail held high, the Feline walked casually to the table and took her seat, curling her large fluffy tail around herself. She eyed the menu with a half-interested gaze, far more interested in the company than the food.
She made her decision within moments, and folded the menu neatly, placing it aside. The flowers in the center of the table rather annoyed her. She thought about breaking the vase over the waitress's head if she made them wait. Blinking out of these thoughts, Nellwyn met Lythero's gaze, and a wicked smile curled her mouth, showing fang. "I would very much like that," she said in a low voice. "It's been too long since I've had any...fun."
