Sabe flew through the air, his feathers being pushed by the air pressures about him as he moved both his wings in unison. Both wings moving in a odd pattern that allowed one to be pushing and the other to release and then switch back again, it kept him on a strait line that didn't even tire him much. His white wings with edged peacock feathers glimmered through the air and could be seen from the ground with ease, not to mention the fact that from where he came from didn't help either. He had almost no way to hide in the air if need be. Though none of that really mattered, for he was flying towards the Court of Spades for a mission that had been delivered upon him by the Queen of Clubs. He guessed that it was due to him being the lowest on the Queen list in the court, and not to mention that he really didn't have much to do since he had hired a new bookie that took care of all the financial aspects of the courts doings. He would smile somewhat as he thought about that, how he left him to take care of all his work so eh could escape that place for a few days. It was really appealing that he was doing something that he had been doing his whole life, delivering stuff. He finally saw the court in the distance and slowed his pace angling down towards the ground so that he could make a good landing at the gates before entering again. It didn't help to land right in front like he had done only once before in the past. It was a nightmare and a night in a cell. He bade the guard a good day and proceeded on into the castle. He needed to get this message delivered and then carry on back to the Court of Clubs for some meeting that was to be held between the queens and their kings. He really hated all the small stuffs that he had to do on a day to day basis. All the ranked people that he had to remember by name and seat, not to mention all the political stuffs. He had just wanted to make everything better by joining, not having to protect who he was every waking moment. He would give a sigh as he found that the person that he was looking for wasn't around... where had the Queen of Spades run off too? Oh well... He guessed that he would have to deliver this to their king then... Raina? Wasn't that her name? Well... he could wait till she got here to meet with him. He was in no hurry after all. So he would move over to a seat with most of the other lower ranked cards that were here to see others in the court. It felt kinda weird to be surrounded by so many spades... even their gazes were starting to irritate him some. He just wanted her to come as soon as she could now. He rubbed his fingers through his fingers as he waited... his other hand gripping the top of his oak walking stick.

The news that someone from the Court of Clubs was here to visit her was rather irritating. The fact that they were an unannounced guest was even worse, and when the King found out that they were a Queen Raina felt like curling up and dying where she stood. The last few months hadn't been kind to the young woman. Coming into her title and finding out she was going to be a father would have been stressful enough. But then having both of her parents die - within a week of each other, followed almost immediately by the birth of her children - was almost too much for the woman to bear. She avoided people beyond her Queen and her children, and those she was required to meet with for her title. She didn't want to go out. She didn't want to do anything, really, but sit in her room and brood to keep herself from breaking down entirely. But the Court was all she had left at this point, so she made sure her paperwork was in order and then stepped out into the hallway. It would have been impossible to miss the Queen sitting there. For one, he was naturally tall, but the fact that he had two pairs of wings and was bright red made him quite the sight. Raina forced a smile onto her smooth features. " Your Majesty Sabe? If you'll come with me, please,[/b]" With that, she'd turn and lead the man into her office. Business was business. She could deal with this for a little while, and then go back to feeling sorry for herself.

Menefer spotted the human formed woman walking towards him, and from his studies that he was forced to take did he realize who it was, it was Raina, attending king to the Queen of Spades. He smiled thanking himself that he had her to deal with than some Jack or some bookie to push this letter forward. Though from what everyone tells him that you have to watch each and everyone with what they did and how they acted, else you could find a dagger in your back, or even worse... rumors.
Once he found himself in her office did he quickly note all the finished work and neat little area, though it was a bit dark than what he would have liked. He smiled as he sat down and waited for her to follow suit.
"It is good to finally meet you Rania, attending king to His Majesty." he said with a bit of a incline of his head to her. He would then clear his throat as he pulled out his satchel to remove the letter that he was to deliver to the Queen. "Here is a letter for the Queen of Spades from Aderless Queen of Clubs." he said as he placed it on her desk.

It took all of the woman's self control to lower herself easily into her chair. Lately she'd taken to flopping down, and that simply wasn't befitting a noble such as herself, especially not when she was speaking to a titled Queen from one of the other Courts. Donnie had done her best to maintain a stable relationship between the Spades and the others, and Raina didn't want to do anything to jeopardize all of that hard work.
"Indeed. I trust that your trip here was pleasant?[/b]" She kept a level smile on her face, reaching up to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear and then folding her hands on the desk in front of her. "And might I say on behalf of the Spades that we very much appreciate your coming to visit us personally. It shows a level of care and respect that is truly stunning.[/b]" The woman reached across the table to take the letter, glancing it over quickly before looking back to the Queen. Of course he had wanted to see Donnie directly, but... She was so busy caring for the children.
"Her Majesty Donalda sends her regrets for being unable to attend to you directly. She is currently caring for infant children, and they can be quite demanding of our attention.[/b]" Her smile was somewhat crooked, and she shrugged lightly. She was still adjusting to being a new parent herself, and it was strange to think that the children were also hers. "When I check in on them later tonight I will ensure that this letter reaches her promptly.[/b]"

Sabe would smile as he watched her sit down and listened politely when she was talking. Though it didn't take him long to spot that there was something the matter with the King. Though he wouldn't bring it up as of yet, for one he was here for some other business and wasn't here to solve another courts problems. Instead though he would take the matters at hand before he would do anything else.
"Well on behalf of the Court of Clubs, we wish the newborns good health and a long life in the courts. I do believe that the letter contains personal congratulations from the His Majesty Aderless." he said as he inclined his head a bit as was proper. Though he was at odds with himself on seeing what was the matter with her... just seeing that others were troubled or in pain always made his heart bleed with pity.
He smiled some as he regained his composure, "If it would be so bold of me to ask, are you ok? You seemed troubled." he said as he leaned back into the chair looking at her directly, concern showing slightly over his brows.

Keep polite, keep calm. Raina should have been grateful for the congratulations, and the smile she wore should have been genuine. But what she should have felt and what she did feel were entirely different things, and the young King found it difficult to really appreciate the kind words.
She just wished someone understood. If her parents had still been alive - they would have known how frightened that she was. She was barely eighteen, just into adulthood, and already she was a parent. She was petrified, and she felt... Alone. The rest of the world seemed to think this was something she should celebrate, and while she did feel glad to be the parent of her Queen's children... She wished it could have happened sometime down the road, once she'd been able to get her feet below her just a little bit better. And most of all, she wished that she'd been able to separate the birth of her children better from the death of her parents.
With that faint smile still firmly affixed to her lips, she gave the Heron a small nod, absently brushing her hair behind her ear. She made eye contact for a moment, holding it while she spoke. "I thank the both of you. So far, they both seem to be healthy and strong, and Her Majesty is recovering well.[/b]" She glanced away once more.
The Queen's next question caught her completely off-guard, and she glanced up at him, purple eyes wide and almost startled. Her lips parted as she considered her answer, then swallowed. "I... I mean no offense, Your Majesty, but...[/b]" She managed another weak smile. "It's really nothing to do with the Court.[/b]"

That was it... something was up and it troubled her deeply, though he couldn't do this as a Queen in the Court of Clubs... he had to do this as another card, and someone that cared. He knew that if he did stumble into something that had to deal with the Court of Spades that he couldn't really do anything and if he tried to then it would only cause trouble between the two, and could even result in a few blows... if things got worse.
He gazed at her as he leaned slightly in his chair.
"Raina," he said smoothly, without using a title, "Something is the matter and it has your mind else where, as another card and not a ranked queen, I ask of you to let me know... I may be able to help, or even just be someone to talk to that you might never meet again." he said knowing full well that some times it was nice just to talk about your troubles, that getting it off your chest usually made him feel good so wouldn't it be the same for someone else?
He knew that if it was something really deep that he would refrain from any more questions and leave abruptly... though if she wanted to talk he would be here for her if need be, though if it were too bad... well... he didn't know what to quite do.
