Pregnant. When the letter finally got to him, he was beyond shocked. There was half a second of panic before he realized there was no way it could be his. In a way, that was actually worse. Actually, yeah. A lot worse. Sure, their relationship had been somewhat casual but… He couldn't exactly judge just yet. After all, he'd been gone for months with little notice. But then again, a lot had happened. He needed time to think. And think is certainly what he did, traveling to the Villa to clear his head the day he put in his resignation. It was relaxing enough. The Villa artists gave him a run for his money and he even studied under an elderly weasel who specialized in speed painting sceneries at dawn and dusk. He did not leave immediately, but sent a letter back that he would attempt to visit when he could. It would still be months before he showed up. Something about showing up -after- the children were born seemed less… traumatic for himself. And it was traumatic enough as he walked down a vaguely familiar street, the envelope of the letter packed in his satchel that held the address from whence it came. It was easy enough to find, and he found himself just… standing in front of the door. "Damnit… just do it." Michael hissed to himself, running his long-fingered paw over his ears before finally knocking on the door. Now, just to keep his nerves about him so he didn't bolt

It was all because of a one night stand when she was out of her mind. There was no other explanation for it. Neither she nor the Lowlander would have slept with each other if they had been in their right mind. And she had to tell someone she had been in a relationship with that she was going to have children. Children that weren't theirs. Glossing over most of the details she managed to send a properly written letter. Then she waited for what seemed like a bloody eternity. Was he going to hate her? Would he be happy? Would he finally give up on her? Waiting was torture, but she didn't have a choice. The children were born, and as much as she wanted to strangle them in the dead of night, she was going to take care of them. Her parents were at least willing to make it a bit easier. She was sighing over the babies cribs when there was a knock on the door. Thankful for the distraction she hurried to answer it. The door opening far faster than she intended and hitting the wall with a thud. For a brief moment her face lit up when she saw the hybrid standing there. Then she realized that there was a chance that things might not go as smoothly as they could. Her ears sinking a bit. "Hey Mikael, You have fantastic timing." She said with a slight smile. She waved a paw to usher him in. "Come in."
