It was dark damp and chilly in the cave that he called home along with the small sorgainian child that he unwillingly took in. he looked at her sleeping in the corner and wondered where she had been all day. She looked horrible when she had returned to the cave. Her feathers were a mess and the small places that were not covered in feathers and comprised of only flesh that blended in, were covered in tiny scratches, her claws and legs were also covered in them. She refused to talk about it and even denied her dinner saying she wasn’t hungry and then went to her little corner of the small cave and laid down without another word.
He sighed to himself as he watched the small fire near the entrance of the cave. The more he was around the small child the less she reminded him of Nathifa which in its own way was good, but he still couldn’t get her out of his mind and nothing was working. He had tried to find the underground court with out any luck and even hunting, which he was normally good at, failed him too. Everything combined just made him grouchier and more frustrated. Maybe it was time to venture to the town nearby. Maybe something there would help even out his mood and let him forget about her.
He sighed once more as he stood up in his bipedal form, which he had acquired not long ago and banked the fire before he settled off in his place in the cave to await his dreams which were borderline nightmares and wouldn’t be so if only she wasn’t in them night after restless night.
He padded through the capital city as a slight jingling sound came from under the cloak that he held close to his form. Sneering to himself, he though of the poor guy he had ran into this morning after waking up and coming to a resolve that now was the right time to be seen by the general public. He thought back to the events that had taken place not long before. He had realized on his way here that unfortunately one needed money and he wasn’t ready to be noticed by all quite yet and with the off and on rain of the approaching autumn made walking around a slight discomfort when it suddenly down poured. As he had come across the road that lead into the city, he also stumbled across a man making his way from the city. He must have stayed in a nearby inn to be this far out so early. The stranger nodded at Sebak as he made his way past him. Sebak let him pass, in a quick action struck the man on the back of the head, and dragged him into the nearby bushes where he proceeded to rob him of all of his valuables and his cloak. The small sack he was carrying he proceeded to hide far enough away from the man that when he made his way back to the cave he would be able to retrieve it without any issues. The money pouch and belt that was attached to it he fastened to himself, dawned the hooded cloak and was on his way once more.
He wandered through the city and ended up in a more haggard looking area then the rest of the city. There was a few women who motioned for him to come closer as he just ignored them and kept walking. Whores he decided but he had no use for that…how would sleeping with some one for money help with his current problem. No if he really wanted that, he would find a way that was less costly. Suddenly he found himself in front of a bar. He stood there for a while and decided to go inside, it would not be the first time liquor had touched his lips and the thought of it doing so again was not a bad idea either. Little did he know that placing his foot over the thresh hold would be the beginning of a drunken stupor that only would plunge his mind and shattered heart into an unseen bigger problem.
