Name: Beowulf
Suit: Hearts
Rank: Nine (born as a Five)
Gender: Male
Animal: Bird (Corvid)
Region: Josiggy Marsh
Note:
Silver Armband Effect: The SD this item is now attached to has, quite effectively, turned into what appears to be the best representation of a mythological Dragon.
Good thing only Hearts can see what he's become, right?
To himself, and any other Hearts around him, he now appears to be a towering, 9 foot-tall Goliath monster. His body covered in silver-green scales and touches of feathers sprouting artfully from joints and to form a crest... feathers that resemble what he once was.
To any other Suit, however, he still looks like his old self, no changes, even if they touch him, he will seem normal (until he breathes fire, I suppose.)
He is, though, still a Card at heart and in form, his rank and Suit still appear on his chest... he is simply the most terrifying imaginary monster most have laid eyes on. His Hearts ability has been boosted too, anything resembling a sword he now wields with more than just proficiency... but with deadly accuracy. His sword though, odd as it may seem, will always avoid striking the actual death blow, and summoned weapons are very difficult for him to force his body to fight. PM the Admin if he ever battles one.

Abilities
Basic Magical Ability: He can ignore moderate amounts of pain for up to an hour.
Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, he gains an immediate proficiency with any weapon that he picks up. This can be activated and deactivated at will.
Summonable Sword: Even though it is not used as his King's ability (indeed, even though he is not a King) this SD is now able to pull a thick, broadsword directly from the center of his Heart marking whenever he feels the need to. The sword will feel to him as though it is a part of his body when he fights with it, and the weight will not bother him in the slightest. The sword will not work for another card, and if taken from him will dissolve into smoke in the opponents hands as he draws it once more from his Heart marking. Trying to use the sword against him is practically pointless as it will disappear if it feels another is gaining the use of it to be once more pulled to the current plane of existence by its master.
Summoned weapons are rare even in the Hearts Court and it will gain him quite a bit of respect to be able to produce one without even being a Face Card.
Silence Ability: Once a week, this SD is now capable of causing their bodies to grow an incredibly springy and light texture to the bottoms of their feet. This texture will slowly rub off and lose effectiveness as an hour goes by, but during most of that hour, they are absolutely silent on their feet. Their breathing, screams, or clothing, however will still make noise.
Strong Magical Ability: When activated, he can inflict mental pain on another card of the Suit of Spades, once per day. The degree of pain is akin to the sensation of your whole body being on fire. Panic may prompt Cards to stop, drop, and roll or seek out other means to extinguish the flames, even though they aren't actually being burned. Cards ranked Five or lower may go into shock.
Reverse spell: Once a month, whispering focus will cause an opponent’s spell to be reversed back on them. This only works on spells for the ranks King and below.

Basic Information
Birds: Birds are seen fairly often across the Realms. They are a far cry from hard to find, yet slightly rarer than a Feline or Canine. They are usually found outside of the Marshes, which they tend to despise, and will often roost in the Highlands until chased out by the residents. Birds can be anything from predatory to a common sparrow.
Eight-Nine: Eights and Nines are seen as the well-to-do "middle class" citizens and feel that they are on pretty much the same level as their neighboring Fives, Sixes, and Sevens. Some Nines tend to get ambitious, seeing as the "upper class" of Ten is so tantalizingly close to them. They are sometimes hired as secretaries and other non-labor-intensive jobs within the Courts; many also have the freedom to become heads of trading businesses or popular entertainers.
Heart: The Claw: Hearts are a bit rarer in society, and are also the most revered. For parents to receive a Heart as a child is a blessing and a delight, as the child will probably bring them power that they do not have. The ferocity and short temper of the Suit is legendary, but not necessarily true for all in the Suit. Hearts have a tendency towards recklessness and wildness in their actions, though their ability to muster power at the snap of their fingers is most assuredly true and remarkable. It serves them well as the most feared and respected of the Suits.
The symbol of the Hearts, the Claw, is most fitting, as there is nothing more brutal than to be hit in the face with something sharp; be it their wit, their magic, or their fist, the experience won't be pleasant. Hearts tend to delight in the fact that they are represented as ruthless and unkind. Some of them feel that power cannot truly be gained with kindness, though others resent the fact that their friendships are all superficial and that their lovers are all two-faced. They may attempt to make themselves seem different.
Basic Magical Ability: All Hearts can ignore moderate amounts of pain for up to an hour, depending on the willpower of the individual.
Josiggy Marsh: Residents are usually olive green with a yellow and cream brindle patterning along their backs or extremities. On occasion, a lighter shade of cream will make a "belly" marking.
The Josiggy Marsh is a surprisingly rich land; its means of trade are quite lovely and job opportunities seem never to end. A beautiful place, it dips down in the valley of the Sorgaire Range, and the residents generally live in harmony with one another. Interbreeding between residents of the Sorgaire and the Josiggy are some of the most commonly seen mixes in the world. The Josiggy Marsh is full of waterlogged meadows and fertile fields that produce bountiful amounts of rice, corn, and other vegetable and fruit crops most of the year round. It is a popular vacation spot and the residents are only too glad to attract these "tourists" to their Realm for additional income. It rains heavily once every three months for about five days, so many residents own small boats or have exceedingly durable houses. Some will even construct houses out of boats. The residents of the Josiggy have a long-standing cold war going on between themselves and the Lowlands, though no one could now tell you who started the feud. Josiggy dwellers tend to take more offense to the Lowlanders than the other Realm does to them and will sometimes attack a passing Lowlander for little to no reason. Josiggy dwellers are often rich enough to move about where they please and many travel to the Courts or the Capitol in order to pursue a new and interesting job or to seek their fortune. They are often of reliable intelligence and friendly enough with most other Realms, especially those from the Selkie Lakes, whom they regard as fellow traders.
