(( ... Wow. XD; sorry this is super long. Theo just... in pain. ))
Judging from the screams everything seemed to be going rather well, even if he couldn't hear the birds he knew that they were there. Theofilus, however, did not expect to here her hit the ground at a run and hit him.
And hit him oh-so-very-hard where she did hit him. It was enough to make the sparrow fall to the ground in a miserable heap clutching his manhood. The vague thought of how he was never going to have children after this nightmare crossed his mind.
As mind numbing as the pain was he had to get up and continue. She obviously wasn't dead from all that screaming. There was a lot of it, and Theofilus was pretty determined that Cerevanna was going to cling onto her life until someone kindly snapped her neck. He would do that if he could see where she was.
Somehow the sparrow managed to rise from his heap in the ground, tears streaking his face. If he could see he would have used his flight ability, but he wasn't going to risk anything right now. He followed the sound of the screams using, the cane to guide him.
He must have looked like an idiot, but that didn't matter. He figured from the screams and the generally close enough to hit her. Years of playing hide and seek proved that you could generally feel how close a person was even if you couldn't see them.
And he aimed a kick towards the voice, hopefully he would hit her in the mouth. As long as his birds were there they would continued tearing at her until he told them to stop. And he wasn't going to let them stop until she stopped breathing.
If his kick was properly paced he was going to take his cane and shove it down her throat. She deserved it.

(Wulfram's been prodding me to post >_> I finally gave in. XD Sorry for such a late entrance. XD)Word travels fast. Especially for a certain ambitious crow with a very convenient connection to the Court of Diamonds. Wulfram made sure to stay just out of sight for the majority of the fight, wanting to observe without being observed in return, but something was exceptionally quick to draw him out. Smoke? What sort of ability was this? He strummed his fingers along his thigh, but his curiousity was quickly answered as two birds comprised solely of smoke shot upward into the air. They tore at The Queen relentlessly but she could do them no harm. That was impressive. He would have to be careful, more so than he had originally anticipated. Both Queens were stronger than Wulfram's original assumption, but Wulfram did not worry overly so about this. The Court of Spades was still where his interest laid but until he reached the very top, he wanted to know where else the power laid. Battles such as these were perfect assessments of such things. A smirk cocked onto his otherwise emotionless face. He stayed back still, just far enough from the shadows that someone might take notice but still far enough back that they very likely would not. Attention was the last thing he wanted.

((Crud, forgot her small extra ability. Oh well...she's out of things that can kill him at any rate. *Fluffles you* Wheeha!))
Cerevanna flailed desperately, achieving nothing except a slight difference in where exactly it was that the horrid apparitions were biting her. She couldn't stop shrieking, absolutely terrified as she felt the one down by her leg sever one of her tendons, the taut string of muscle snapping up inside of her calf like a broken rubber band and causing her to shriek even louder with terror and pain.
The kick to the head came as a completely unexpected blow.
She was trying to get her body to roll to the side when a foot came out of the blue and caught her beneath her left temple.
Her eyes actually rolled slightly in her head as she heard the labored breathing above her.
she had one.
Last.
Chance.
"Theofilius! I'll see you in hell!"
She yelled, her words slightly slurred as she raised her right hand and pointed it as close to him as she could manage.
Within one minute, the Sparrows' left eyeball would explode outward in a small shower of gore.
Sadly the minute was one too long. The throbbing pain in her head was too much and one of the birds got the very sudden and bright idea to begin chewing on her face directly. She gave one last loud scream, before a cane rammed its way down her throat and two sharp fangs pierced her skull.
She twitched for about thirty seconds as her brain slowly asphyxiated, her fingers twisting into such tight circles that two of them audibly snapped. Then she lay still, blood pooling slowly into her thick purple hair, the hat made from the pelt of an ace still lying about a foot away from her outstretched arm. The shawl was in ruins.
The Mastiff on the sidelines blew the whistle hesitantly.
"Uh..uh. T-the new Queen of Diamonds! His majesty, Theo- Augh!" He ducked his head and ran from the field unable to take one second more of this horrible bloody field as the new Queen's eye exploded outward.

(( OOC: XD OMFREAKINGG that is absolutely awesome. ))
Well. At least she was dead. The stupid bitch.
Of course now Theofilus was in an amazing amount of pain from his left eye exploding and all the other damage that she had left him. The sparrow had half a mind to faint. However he was standing, still quite blind with a missing eye and very much wanted to get inside and cleaned up. He was at a lovely disadvantage.
"So..." he called over to the sidelines. "Anyone want to help me out here? I'd really appreciate it."
He sighed. What a lovely mess he had gotten himself into. He just wished that this could have been all discussed over tea. He dismissed both of the birds as he leaned heavily on the cane. Oh good sky above he was he in a hell of a lot of pain. He used his King ability to at least calm down some of the spectators. As horrifying as the scene was, he really did need help getting somewhere. He was quite close to passing out from the mind numbing shock.
It still hadn't hit him that he was in fact, The New Queen of Diamonds. That would come later.

Iria watched as the combat came to its final conclusion; Cerevanna's shrieked curse fell down upon Theofilus, and shi was fairly sure that the Queen might have done something, but shi couldn't tell. Mostly because Theo's cane promptly rammed itself down the Pine Marten's throat at the same time as those horrible...birds began gnawing on her face, and then she began twisting and writhing, and Iria felt hirself growing paler and paler, barely clinging to hir composure by a thread as hir stomach twisted and writhed about itself. This was...this was...horrible, and disgusting, and shi really wasn't sure just how much longer shi could stand here and look calm as the brutality went on before hir. At least the fight appeared to be pretty much over, and Theofilus was the new Queen; and as much as Iria was not pleased about having a male ruling over hir, shi wanted nothing to do with a possible challenge to him.
He could have the Courts, and with hir blessing, and shi would be unusually glad for it, really. Because that whole combat had been absolutely horrible. Hir attention was fixed forward, not capable of focusing on anything in particular as the mastiff who had been officiating began to announce the winner, and then...
And then...
Theofilus' eye exploded.
That was enough. Iria fainted, falling backward into the arms of hir servants to be carried off to hir quarters to give hir respects to The Queen of Diamonds at a later point.

Hm. Well, that was all very interesting wasn't it?
Despite the massive amount of gore and the rather gruesome death of the previous Queen all Wulfram truly did was arch a brow and glance through the spectators. Judging by the sparrows previous movements he was quite blind and just about everyone of any importance (at least by Wulfram's opinion) appeared to have fled or fainted.
Snorting at the weakness of those surrounding the injured Sparrow, Wulfram strode boldly forward past the other spectators and onto the bloodied field. He had intended to introduce himself in person to begin with so what better time was there than the present?
"Ah, Your Majesty Zeofilus, I vill essit you to your quarters."
Wulfram controlled his accent as best he could in order to make sure the wounded sparrow would understand him in his current state. He slid an arm up under one of Theo's own, the arm not grasping the cane, and offered him a firm shoulder to lean on.
"Zat vas en...interestink battle." Wulfram was quite familiar with intensive injuries and the shock which accompanied it. He'd have to keep Theo talking until the sparrow's injuries were accessed by a medic. "You earned your vin."

Theofilus was surprised to be greeted by a voice that he didn't know, and had a rather heavy accent. However, the sparrow wasn't exactly able to protest. He was in too much pain and too close to passing out to argue with anyone. "All right," he muttered as the man slid his arm under Theofilus'.
Interesting battle? Theofilus thought on that for a moment as he was led to where ever he was actually being led. "I think it would have been more interesting if I could have seen the ending. Though I can't argue with you assessment."
Oh, how he was actually talking was a complete and utter mystery to the sparrow. He was acutely aware of the fact that his sternum was probably broken, that his eye was missing, and that his manhood was very much not going to let him walk properly for quite sometime. Next time he got in a fight with someone, which he really hoped was a long time from now, he would be a bit more prepared. And he hoped it wouldn't e a six foot tall woman either.

Wulfram was glad that Theo did not argue or question his sudden arrival on the scene. He didn't really feel like explaining himself, though he also doubted that Theo was far from in the questioning mood. He was, as Wulfram had assumed, blinded by the dead Queen.
"It ist a pity zat you did not." He allowed a smile to quirk onto his pale features, ushering the sparrow into the palace. A good many odd looks were directed toward him and the injured Queen though Wulfram was satisfied to continue in silence once he heard a few cries for a doctor ring out. Good, he wouldn't have to find one himself. Last thing he needed was to have that pretty little bird's father dying on him, then he'd never get another chance to play with him. "Hoe ebout I describe it to you on ze vey to your chambers?"
While it might take more explaining in the end, Wulfram had already managed to acquire direction to the Sparrow's bed chamber. After all, he had connections in all sorts of high and low places...and attendants were especially loose of tongue with the right sort of encouragement.
By the time they arrived at the door to Theo's room, Wulfram had recited a detailed play by play of the delightful ending. It had been deliciously gory and while it was a pity that the Sparrow lost his eye to it, the fact that he had managed to blindly shove his cane down the woman's throat still satisfied Wulfram greatly.
"It vas e very suiting endink."
Wulfram pushed the door open even as he saw a man with a doctor's air hurrying toward them. Blasted man had taken long enough, hadn't he?

Blood never really affected Ataxia, not too much. With her line of study, it would have been silly to have been disgusted by such things. Still, the very amount and in the manner in which it was...extracted was enough to make the canine freeze in shock. Not even the diseases she worked with had such a gruesome and quick effect as the magic and physical blows of this battle.
The rushing of the doctor reminded her of the possible detrimental effects of losing that much blood and having the loss of an eye to deal with on top of it. She rushed over herself to see if there was anything she could do to assist. Even if she couldn't do much in the way of repairing that damage, she could help the doctor with staunching the blood and cleaning out the wounds.
"Your Majesty...Congratulations."
With everything that happened, it was all she could pull out of her to say.
