Gods did that bite ever hurt, even more so as his opponent locked his jaw. He locked his jaw! How dare he! Here he'd been all apologies when his true agenda was now made painfully clear. He was a liar, just as he'd always been, and he was here to kill him just as he had his brothers! A feral hiss sprang from his throat as his mind switched over to a kill or be killed manner of thinking. And, thankfully, the stupid rat had let go of him before he'd fallen over or Osias probably would have been in quite the world of pain.
As it was, he saw Saresh fall away from his clenched fist, however, he still had a grip of his ear. He had, torn the flesh from his face? Had he been in any other situation he might of been sickened by this, the sound, the sight, the fact that he was holding a good portion of his own father's face... it should have made him feel something, anything ... but there was no remorse. All that it caused was a sickening delight and hopefulness to dance across his face.
And, as he'd still been low, he moved forward again, not wasting any opportunity to grasp the highlander by the throat with an iron grip, slender digits pressing into his skin and he leaned forward, very close to all that remained of his face, his cheek, and spoke in a voice that, had this been the occasion, one would swear was heavy with lust. But perhaps it was? Merely a blood lust, something else entirely? Who knew really.
And this, Saresh... He added a hiss onto the end of his name, an involuntary gesture really, is for the broken life you lead me to lead and most of all... it is for mother... Moraira. He wanted the last word the vermin heard to be the name of his former lover, and the one whom brought his children into the world.. .the one he'd hurt most. Osias was, in his own way, quite a bit of a mamma's boy, but certainly not in the general sense.
And once his words were said he'd tighten his grip, holding his with as much might as he could muster from his hand and, unless the other could come up with something to free his broken self from this, he'd jerk his arm back. He wanted to end it here and now.

Finistris watched the young rat's features as he tore at his father.
Then he watched as the Lowlander struck the finishing blow, the Highlander's face coming away in his talons.
commendable...very good...
He watched as the ruined Highlander squirmed pitifully, finally coming to the realization that he was about to die...it was rather delectable.
Saresh listened to what his son hissed to him, no longer possessing the lips or the energy to respond.
M-Mor-Moraira....?
The his son's hand yanked upward on his throat and Saresh knew no more.
Finistris watched the Highlander fall backward, his remaining eye rolling back into his skull as he toppled. Stepping forward, the Human clapped politely smiling with lips held together and eying the rat with approval.
"Very well done, I have to say that I am mightily impressed Osias..."
He waited for the rat to recover, stepping away from the still and gruesome corpse.
"Really, that was far above what I expected from you, here."
He pulled forth the two glasses and the small flask, pouring two drinks, he then held one out to the Lowlander. He made sure that the rat would see him take a drink first so that he wouldn't assume it poisoned, it would be a shame for the rat to lose out on this wine...
"Let me issue a toast, if I may."
He rasied his glass and dipped his blue maned head in acknowledgment.
"To Osias...may you be The Queen of Diamonds soon. The best good it shall do the land in so long. Good health!"

He watched as Saresh fell backward and slumped lifeless on the ground before him, his face lacking any emotion at all. How long had he wanted to do that? He'd never been quite so caught up in a battle before, but perhaps it was because this one was personal? He'd never really thought about it, but he was mildly surprised with himself at this point, however he didn't have long to dwell on it before a clap came to his ears. He jumped slightly, muscles tensing again.... ready to spring.
But it was only Finistris, and he seemed rather pleased, rather pleased indeed. Osias loosened up a bit and rose to his feet, playing favorites with his one leg, but trying desperately to hide the fact that he was. His host's opinion of him mattered, especially since he could, theoretically, set him back in his quest for greatness. But he didn't appear to want to, or was this just a front?
His body trembled slightly and involuntarily as the heat of the moment began to pass and he looked at Finistris with more clarity then just a few moments ago. And he had... wine. Caution stirred within him as he watched Fin do exactly what Varestes had done, and his ears went back a bit as he accepted the glass.
He peered at the wine before pausing and looking at the human before him.
Forgive my skepticism but... switch me glasses.
He knew enough about poisons and narcotics to know that you didn't necessarily need to put it directly into anything, there were varieties that were clear and still potent when dried. He did, however, feel the urge for a drink though... and surely Fin would not lace his own glass? Yes, it made perfect sense to him, perfect sense indeed.

Well, wasn't this Rat just fun? Finistris hadn't had someone this complex to talk to in ages. He nodded his head and obediently handed Osias his glass and accepted the Lowlanders' in place of his own, sipping unconcernedly.
"Not a problem, I would have been surprised if you hadn't asked. It should help to calm you down and kill the pain though, I prefer it...constant headaches, it assists me." He sipped at his drink again and watched the Rat with a smile, his eyes drifitng to the decimated corpse and then back to the Lowlander.
" You know, you are one of the few non-Spades to come here requesting a change of rank from me, that I actually feel deserve it."
He reached out and pressed his hand against the rat's chest, forcing the mark to change from a 10 to a "J".
"Very impressive, I look forward to your being in the Courts soon, I would love to see what you make them into..."
He watched the Rat's expression.
Waiting.
((At this point Osias will begin to feel sleepy again if he has drunk any wine. Then fun will be had and Osias can be on his merry way XD <3))

He was pleased when his host didn't take offense to his decline, it just didn't sit well with him especially since the last time he'd accepted a glass of wine he'd wound up here. And, despite popular belief, he wasn't stupid and did, indeed, remember and learn from past mistakes. However, he wasn't entirely certain if this was a mistake or not, it could still go either way... depending. For now he simply swirled the wine like a proper gentleman would, watching it for a moment.
His ears perked as Finistris continued and he brought his gaze up to him, a crooked smile finding it's way to his maw at the praise. He did, however, tense when he was touched. He wasn't necessarily used to it, and his mind was still somewhat in the events that had passed in the very recent past. That was another reason that he hadn't let his gaze wander any lower then the glass, he did not want to see the corpse again. He did look to where he was touched though, and that smile broadened a bit at the sight of the red J that now resided on his breast.
And I deserve far more and will attain it in my future as well! But I do thank you, Finistris, for helping me get one step closer.
He brought the glass up to his lips, eyes still on the human, when he paused for a moment. He suddenly felt uncomfortable with the wine all over again and was... Finistris watching him? This thought made his ears tilt backward once more, something was still off.

Finistris watched as the Rat deliberately swirled his wine but did not drink. With every passing second he wanted the Rat more and more...he would have him...this future Queen of Diamonds. This Rat would be his... He watched him as he spoke, the way his mouth moved, the way his eyes glinted, the way he kept up his appearance even though he was injured...
Romanticism was overrated.
"One step closer you are...Osias. But how would you like to be advanced even further?"
He licked his lips just a little, the corners of his mouth turning up in a rather pitiful smile...
Whipping forward at such a speed that his outline was blurred, he pinned the Rat's hands to the wall.
"I've been so alone, Osias...for such an incredibly long time... Never have I longed for another like this...Grant me this...grant yourself this... I will raise your rank once more if you will allow me, to at least pretend, that I am cared for..."
He pressed his nose against the side of the Lowlander's neck, breathing in his odd scent, dropping his own cup of wine and letting it crash to the stone floor.
What an incredible scent, so wrong.
"Please...a King, you could be...your Highness...

He had no real intention of drinking the wine and he was trying to decide on a way to put it that wouldn't cause offense. But why did it really matter? He'd gotten what he'd came for after all, so why didn't he wish to upset this strange, blue haired man? It made his tail tip twitch ever so slightly in agitation but no other signs would be shown. Why should he care what this man thought? This man that just stood back and watched, no, took pleasure in watching him tear his father apart? It was simple, in the end, they were of like minds... and he ... liked it?
Strange, and... wait? What has Finistris just said? Advance further? Of course he wanted to! He'd do just about anything to attain his goal... well almost anything. He noticed the look on the man's fact only moments before his outlined blurred. Osias dropped the glass almost instantly out of surprise when he felt his wrists being grabbed, and then felt the stone of the wall against the back of his hands and part of his spine. His wiry coat bristled instinctively and his ears went back and his muscles were nothing but tense, but it wasn't entirely unpleasant. Generally he was on the opposite side of such advances...
He listened as Finistris spoke, his body relaxing somewhat, even more so after the other man came so very close to the side of his neck. I was strange, foreign really, for him to be treated like this... but he found himself enjoying it, and much quicker then he'd anticipated. Perhaps he really didn't want to be the one in control anymore? As the other finally stopped speaking he narrowed those golden eyes of his, looking over at the blue haired human and his decision was final....
You needn't pretend.... Finistris.

Those words were all he needed to hear. Finistris grinned, long eyeteeth showing as he pressed his nose to the fur once again.
"Then I won't...never with you...
He then bit down on the side of the Rat's neck, not hard enough to pierce the skin, but hard enough to faze the nerves. This Rat was his...and always would be. Osias...what a character...he had yet to meet such ambition...perfect.
He felt the Rat relax slightly...did he really want the rank that badly...or was he being granted...?
"Are you granting me access, Osias? Do you like this...shall I continue, then?"
He kept the rat's hands pinned against the wall, and dragged his nose up to the Rat's face until he was staring his straight in the eyes.
"I will make it worth your while if you do..."

Had he truly wanted to get away, he'd have at least given some sort of a struggle, but he didn't. He was perfectly content to be held where he was, in fact... his mind had some sort of a... trust? for this strange being. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it was different.
He listened to the other man speak and one side of his maw turned up in a smirk. Did he detect the slightest bit of a hint that the confident human was unsure? It certainly seemed like he was, but, what was this? When he'd had his neck bitten, he couldn't, and didn't, resist the shiver it sent down his spine.
And Osias had more then words to prove he was not purely interested in this to improve his social standings. He had more then mere words to express this as well, however, he chose to speak in a way that wouldn't be outright consent, but he hoped the other would understand it.
Ambition can be set aside.
His ears remained back, but the smirk broadened and he curled that semi-prehensile tail around the other man's ankle only moments after he spoke.
