"Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it."
ID: SD208
Name: Morpheus
Meaning: "shape", referring to the shapes seen in dreams, See also the Greek God of Dreams
Suit: Diamonds
Rank: Queen (From Birth)
Gender: Male
Animal: Vermin (Rat)/Mustelid (Weasel)
Region: Lowlands
Dealer: Kitty
Current Forms: Animal, Bi-Pedal, Human
*Notes: He is a Queen of Diamonds and has been visited by his father on more than one occasion without Osias’s knowledge. He will exist only in Osias’s mind unless magical avenues are pursued. Osias can hear him and communicate back through telepathy, and each night when he falls asleep he will be mentally transported immediately to his son’s “vision” of his own room and will have to “spend the night” with his son. This is not optional.
((Ah, that! Most Lowlanders would either be insanely jealous of Mo...or worship his "wholes-ness" with an incredible fervor- Nathalia))
Human Ability: His Human form allows him to lift things that weigh 75 pounds or less as though they are made of paper. His marble handled weapon weighs 60 pounds...he wields it like lightning.
Basic Magical Ability: He can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not he actually has the natural charm and grace to pull it off.
Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, he can decipher up to two languages of the player's choosing. These languages are in addition to the common tongue and the Diamond house language.
Strong Magical Ability: When activated, he can cast a lie-detector spell on a card off any suit and of a rank lesser or equal to his own, once per day. Cards of equal rank would be aware of the spell, but cards of lesser rank would not.
Powerful Magical Ability: When activated, he can fly for thirty minutes. Winged Diamonds can use this ability for effortless, perfectly controlled flight.
Jack's Ability: Once per month, he can tell a lie that cannot be seen through. It is such a well-crafted lie that no lie detector spells or mental searches can see the truth as being different from his lie.
King's Ability: Once per month, he can become smoke in the literal sense for one hour - no more, no less - and float away on the breeze. He cannot control where he lands, but he will also not be distinguishable from the air around him. In this form, he cannot be harmed or contained.
Queen's Ability: Once per month, when engaged in combat, he can enter the mind of one opponent. Both of their physical bodies drop to the floor as if unconscious and they are both in the opponent's mind. He is able to use his control and creation of darkness that he learned from his father to attack his opponent. They are not able to use this ability, as they have not spent time learning it. While he is in their mind, they cannot kill each other, merely render themselves unconscious. They will not suffer any physical wounds from battle, but after he exits their mind they will both be unconscious for one hour and regain consciousness at the same time. The opponent will remain drained, weak, and disoriented, whereas he will not.
Queen's Ability Boost: Once they exit this mental plane, the hour of recovery is no longer necessary. The opponent will feel weakened as though they have been up for one night straight and not eaten while Mo will feel tired, but relatively fresh. Only after using this ability is he now able to call forth a shadow demon from the mental plane. It will exist in the real world for a full two minutes before disappearing back into nothing. Its shape is barely discernible and it seems to suck light out of the area, though it doesn't really, distorting the vision of both Mo and his opponent/s. The monster is normally about ten feet high at the shoulder and sports large front claws like a Wolverine. Its voice is a high yowl of broken sounding ecstasy as it fights, unnerving anything ranked Jack or lower into either running, or dropping to the ground in the hopes it won't hurt them. The demon refuses to kill, wanting to leave that to its master, but it will go as far as trying to damage at least one limb, often focusing on it. If the opponent is a Snake...it sucks to be them.
Shadow Demon Boost: The strange shadow demon that has followed this card all his life has finally become more of herself.
She is able to appear in the physical world once a week as a pure shadow, though she still looks like the shadow of a ridiculously thin and lanky Biped Weasel.
She is rather verbose and highly resentful of any life form that has the physical plane to explore (with exception to her master and anyone related to him). Her claimed name is "Maraisa", she will answer to nothing else and will in fact hide in the shadow plane and sulk if referred to as anything else. She is able to communicate telepathically with her master and one other person he chooses as often as she likes, though most others probably won't believe in her existence. She cannot physically contact anyone in the physical world, but she is able to contact her master when he sleeps...in fact, she is very fond of doing so, whether he likes it all the time or not.
Once a week, she is able to cause another person's shadow to bend to her will and act atrociously...if this spell is cast on a Club, it can even attempt to physically harm the person...it likes to attempt to throttle them.
Maraisa despises summoned weapons, and will go out of her way to torment them if she can. Once a week, she is able to touch them for a full minute. She longs to trap one somehow, so that she can kill it, over and over and over and over.....
Moderate Ability: He is now able to cause glass constructs (ie: windows, vases, figurines) to explode without warning, once per month. The glass will all explode outward with a rather large amount of force and the sound will be painful to all except the caster. He is also able to shatter glass weapons that aren't magical, but magical glass may give him some trouble or even...backfire...
Amazing Boost: Once a moth he is now also able to cause constructs (ie: windows, vases, figurines, doors, and parts of walls) made of wood as well as glass to explode outward with a rather large amount of force and the sound will be painful to all except the caster. He is also able to shatter wooden weapons that aren't magical, but magical wood (lol XD) may give him some trouble or even...backfire... Using this ability can also now give him the chance to cause the exploding of glass or wood shards to swirl into a cyclone (up to seven feet high and three feet wide) of sharp swirling danger. This can be moved, slowly, around his person, but can be penetrated with fiery or water based attacks, which will tear the connection to it from his mind and cause the cyclone to collapse.
Amazing Ability: Once a week he is now able to cause another persons' lungs to temporarily collapse. By making a quick, sharp gesture with his left hand toward their face and pulling toward himself, he is able to catch hold of the direct line of air leading back to their lungs and pull everything in it outward. This causes the victims' lungs to empty completely for a full thirty seconds, giving them strange floating black spots obscuring their vision, and most will collapse to the ground gasping...though some Queens can continue to fight regardless...though weakened. After thirty seconds, the victim will be able to gasp in large bouts of air again, clearing their vision but causing them to feel rather ill for a minute.
Once he has the air pulled from them, he is able to force it into a compressed ball in his hands and hold onto it for a minute, it then must be released in a rather strong gust of forceful wind that can be aimed at an opponent. This wind is enough to bull Queens and Kings a few feet backward, and knock Jacks and lower off their feet completely.
Using this ability on a victim more than once can cause a very strange reaction to take place, please PM the admin if this occurs.
Broken Mirror Effect: This SD's eyes now look like pure silver, the whites are even obscured by this new mutation, though they can still see perfectly well, if not better than before. When they look into mirrors, they are now able to see the different paths that they could take in life represented by three reflections: one of themselves if they lead a characteristically good life (normally seems happier than the others, but depending on the individual, can be a beaten, walked on personage), if they lead a neutral one (generally seen as being either better off than the other two, but with little emotion or extreme boredom), and if they lead a characteristically "bad" one (generally seen as either deranged or in some way evil, but not always. For some characters, this is the happier, better sight for them to see.)
They are able to converse with these reflections and can also do this with other people. Either showing them their possible choices, or knocking them out and holding them before a mirror and interrogating their possibilities. the reflections will not know too much about what got them there as they are only reflections, but they will have an inkling of what they did to get their lives to the fixed point of the reflection.
If this power is used on any Queen other than themselves, there could be backlash. PM the admin if this occurs.
Broken Mirror Boost: This SD's eyes now glow with a rather disturbing purple tinge when either aroused or feeling especially violent. The glow seems to seep up from the tear ducts until it has consumed the surface of the eye itself. This glow can cause Cards ranked 10 and lower to feel as though the floor is tilting out from under them, though in reality they are simply being forced off balance. This SD is now also capable of further interaction with the mirror recollections that he can summon in the glass. He is now able to (not with his own reflections, only others') switch places with one of the reflections shown. He can force the person casting the reflection into the mirror for a full half hour with their other path choices, and pull one of them out into the real world. After half an hour they will automatically switch back. The reflection that he pulls out will have to listen to one command from him, but otherwise they are free to do as they wish.
Skeletal Monster: One of his abilities seems to have backfired! Being used against magical glass has done a number on him!
The monster is absorbed into his body completely and fades from sight, leaving him sizzling in the dust.
The monster in his head greatly resembles the old Hearts Queen Rai in a skeletal form made of liquid glass. It lives in his mind along with Maraisa...though it despises her and Morpheus and will do everything it can to injure Maraisa should she approach it...and it is more powerful than she.
Once a week, it must do its master's bidding for a full thirty seconds, but during this time, it will also do its best to injure Morpheus...often succeeding in its venture.
The rest of the week, it will do as it pleases, manifesting to frighten its master's friends and lovers, appearing at inopportune times to wound him, tripping him, causing embarrassment and mayhem where it can. It can only come out of his mind four times a week, aside from when he calls it, and while out for an hour each time, it will try to do as mentioned above.
Malicious, vile, and pitiless; it seems to embody some form of Rai's anger at the death of his poor, unsightly daughter at the hands of this Lowlander
