Malc grinned down at the beach, ah yes this would be fun. A chance to learn about. . . interaction? Females in general? He chuckled merrily at the look on Ez's face. Not the brightest in smarts, but certainly in personality.
His eyes quickly glanced over at Zane. So very different from him and his Selkie brother and yet he loved him dearly too. He worried, at times about Zane. Funny enough that he should worry about Zane more than Ez but it was true. Ez could stumble through all of life with a smile on his face, yet Zane seemed to see all the bad stuff. He saw the good as well but Malchiah worried that Zane might not become jaded the longer he lived.
He shook off the thoughts quickly, as happy and outgoing as Malchiah looked on the outside, he did have a tendency to overthink to himself.
Malchiah's head perked at the question and he scanned the beach quickly. "I don't see anyone, but really. They're mostly all Selkies down there we blend in fine. heheh Let's go!"
And with that he rushed off towards the two girls that Zane had been eyeing.

And they were off! Like marathon runners! Zane watched as Malc sprinted ahead, and Ez quickly fell into pace with him. Zane was actually surprised at how fast the two could move. Remembering his place he caught up as quickly as he could, but still leaving a distance between him and his brothers. He didn't want to be part of the action, he just wanted to watch.
Ez still wasn't sure about being caught--Zane was one of the few mixed members of the lakes in the area. It was hard to mistake him for someone else, but then again he was Zane. He could easily get out of most situations.
The girls were upon them before they knew it. They were standing in front of the little melting sand castle and the two girls were eying them. One was a cat, while the other was a a deer mix. They were both giving the boys curious looks.
"Hello," Ez grinned. "What a nice day we're having!" He chirped in excitement and suddenly lost his balance, flopping backwards in the sand.
The cat giggled.
"Wonderful sand too."
Zane couldn't help but snicker in the background. It was a heroic way to save the mood.

Malc sauntered up the girls and agreed with his brother "Yes. ^_^ Definately a nice day for a relaxing time at the beach I must say. And what are you lovely ladies up to today?"
As his brother flopped accidentally flopped into the sand and covered it with a funny quip Malchiah grinned. "I'm Malchiah!"
The giggling cat nodded and spoke "I'm Alexa, this is my cousin Andra." The deer mix blushed a little and looked around for her mother, standing behind Alexa. Alexa padded forwards and offered Ez a paw "You okay?"
Malchiah blinked a little. . . okayyyy. "Hi Andra" . . . Andra: BLUSH

Ez took the hand of the young girl and smiled. "Thank you, I have horrible balance," he blushed. He felt embarrassed for interrupting their fun now, but still, he would try his best to make up for it.
"It's nice to meet you Alexa, and your cousin" He grinned as he brushed the sand off.
The cat girl smiled back at him, "You know, You're quite adorable when you aren't covered in sand. I bet you're pretty enough to put on a dress."
Ez blinked, "Thanks?"
Meanwhile, Zane watched the proceedings between Malchiah and the shy girl. She was very reserved, and it looked at if she wanted to bolt over to her mother at any moment.
"H-hi," Andra stammered, "You're r-really..." her voice faded to a whisper, "...cute."
For someone so shy she was direct. Her eyes darted from Malc to Zane to her mother in the distance. Her cousin could care less, it seemed she was busy staring the confused Ez down. Andra looked down at her feet as she asked Malc quite quietly, "Why does your other friend have bat wings and why do you have a tail like that?"

Malchiah winked at both his brothers quickly before turning his attention to the sweet and shy little deer mix. "Why thank you darling! I can say exactly the same thing about you." :3! He positively beamed at her.
"Why I never expected to find someone as pretty as you today. And here we didn't even plan on coming to the beach what?" He looked at his brothers to back him up. "We just stumbled upon it, pleasant surprise really"
He didn't falter at her odd questions merely chuckled a little. "Well we're all brothers see. Zane there was particularly lucky to inherit the good looks from both our parents and a little extra besides. And my tail is exactly like my mothers!" He beamed again.
"Family trait and all that. Very fashionable." He squinted his eyes a little nodding sagely. "Yes, very"

What a smooth talker Malch was. Zane was completely impressed, and so was the little deer mix. Her blush grew deeper as she looked up at Malch.
Her cousin was still smirking, "So we have Malchiah, Zane, and..."
"Ezekiel, call me Ez," the sparrow quickly provided. He glanced at his brothers, this girl was a little stranger than what he was used to. Was she up to something.
Alexa's smile was almost as wide as a fabled Cheshire. "What were you boys really planning to do on this wonderful day? Herm?"
"We were going to fight vampires," Ez joked with a snort, "Actually we were just going to avoid our Dad while he's work. He's been really busy lately and we just wanted to leave him alone."
"My! What considerate boys!" She giggled. "What do you want to do with us? Make a sand castle, swim? What? Herm?" He tail swished back and forward with excitement as her cousin's gaze remained fixed on Malc. Suddenly he was the able of her eye.
Zane had to wonder, how would Malch handle this, because he wasn't about to step in and give any suggestions. Ez looked beyond confused and was looking to Malch for guidance.

Malch's gaze never wavered from the deer mixes. An almost possessive grin streaked across his beak at her blush. She really was rather cute. Although his gaze never wavered he caught every word of the conversation around him and his grin only grew larger.
"Swim of course! What good is a beach if you do not use the water?" He tilted his head, still intently watching the girl before him, though now his eyes wandered. Malchiah took in every feature of her face, so soft and so unlike his family's sharp beaks. Rather attractive *nod* though. . what did he ever find unattractive in a girl that seemed to be so infatuated with him?
He looked away from Andra for a minute, gazing at the waters several feet away before SPLOOSH! Malchiah lept into the air and glided into the water with a loud splash. He dunked his head under and rolled the water back and over himself with his wings, much like he had not too long previous.
"You coming?" His eyes scanned over the 4 before him and settled on the deer again, smiling at her.

The shy girl jumped in surprise of the splash, while her cousin burst into laughter and followed suit. She quickly leaped into the water without hesitation splashing Malch with her tail. "Come on you guys!" Alexa called back.
Andra still hesitated as Zane strolled forward, and jumped in with the biggest splash he could mange, soaking both Malch and Alexa.
Ez stared at the water with a slightly disapproving look. He didn't like at much, and it seemed neither did Andra. Maybe he should act cool or something?
He slid over to Alexa and whispered, "How about we both splash them at the same time?"
She was still hesitating, but she nodded and rushed forward before leaping into the air with Ez and crashing down into the water with a mighty splash. Soaking everyone.
The young deer mix was actually laughing as she splashed around. Her cousin seemed surprised by the sudden development. Apparently she hadn't been fond of the water before.
Ez's smile had returned. He may not have liked the water but he certainly did like playing with people and splashing around. It was a little kid thing to do, but why not act like a kid until he was eighteen? Life would be more fun that way.
