(This is open. However. I would like for Billy to post first as I had made it with him in mind <3 After he does, feel free to come in ^_^) Dilis had barely just become a Jack and already they were sending her on errands. She was to go to Selkie Lakes and retrieve an object for the courts.. when the court of clubs had given her the task, she had almost seemed like they was picking on her? She was not quite sure. However, here she was looking for this place and she was terribly lost. Again. I swear, one day I am going to have to hire a personal guide. Maybe then she would be able to get to places effectively. She turned a corner and realized she had been there an hour ago. I give up.... perhaps I should give in and ask for directions... she looked around in a huff and noticed him. He was familiar but she could not place him right away.. She knew that they had met, however brief it was. " Excuse me sir, might you help me please?" She asked in a tizzy.

"Um..." Admittedly, he was caught off guard, only a little, but still caught off guard nonetheless. But even so, he was pleasant in his response since he had no reason to be all that startled. After all, hadn't they seen each other earlier? This interesting looking four-legged being seemed friendly enough. He shifted awkwardly, but made every effort to not come off as completely dazed (which is what he was; he was quickly losing his... sanity? Whatever it was, sleep was to come soon, or he would have a lot more problems than trying to help someone find their way). Still, he offered his help the best he knew how, which, in all honesty, was about as extensive as applying some of the basic manners he had learned as a cub, into even the most confusing situations. "I'm kind of new here myself, so I'm not sure how much real help I could be, but I'll still certainly try! What is it you are trying to find? Do you have a map with you, maybe?[/b]"[/i]

(OOC: *poke* put his picture up; modify the first post and put it in there. it's customary in every thread to put it up in the first post you make. luckily you don't do it again after unless you bring in another character)
Ah, yes now she could place him. He was the cute canine she had met during one of her trips to Capital City. Well, this was certainly a surprise... not a bad one though.
"Well, I am trying to retrieve a package from a female named Julie. All they would tell me is she lives near the border of The Forest of Kahmden and The Selkie Lakes. I fear I must have made a wrong turn as I entered. She really should have given me better directions... Thank you though, for offering to help me. That is very kind of you. A map? No, even if I had one I really would be of no help in reading it. I am awful with directions and nine times out of ten I find myself lost. The bright side of that is I find myself being able to find my way after I have been lost somewhere once."

He felt bad, as well as confused now as to where he himself was.
"I've been here for a little while, myself, but I couldn't really help too much, as I am not all that familiar with my surroundings completely at this point. But we can certainly check it out."
He felt so bad that he could not be of much more help than he had attempted, which took its own small toll on him even then, but helping someone was always going to outweigh his own needs. He needed to work on that, and he knew it plain as day.
He hadn't been out much since his buddies Pathos and Peder left the lakes. They were the life of the party for him and he didn't have a reason to run about anymore. Though he probably would find a reason now that she asked for help.

Dilis was not sure what to do, she knew they would be mad at her if she did not make the pickup but she was lost as to what to do... "Well, your offer is very kind and I thank you. If you could just get me back to the border, I am sure I could find it easier than it is now." He seemed nice enough, she was sure she could trust him being alone. Though she hoped today was a day Father had chosen not to spy on her...
"I know I came that way" She pointed to the road behind her. "So maybe if we go back where I came from, things will be more familiar to you....and hopefully myself as well." She started to walk back towards where she came, gesturing for him to follow. "So... we will be traveling for a little while, tell me about yourself... Mr....?" Dilis figured it would only be right if she knew his name if she would be in his company; Father had taught her well.

"Prelude, he said with a smile. "Prelude... ehm..." He simply could not remember his surname! He knew that he was once an important member of his species, indeed his particular breed was one of royalty. But something had happened to him. Of that, even, he could not be sure.
"Well, I guess that's not that important right this minute. Though, I want to say that it begins with an O, but that might be totally wrong. Ugh, I'm sorry I'm such a mess right now..." He smiled, though he felt disgusted.
But, somehow, he was sure that his new friend--Dilis, was that right? (He had bet that it actually was right, bloody hell, the day had come when he had finally gotten a name right!)--did not have so much concern for things like that; names seemed almost trivial to her. But he could not quite place why he came to such a notion, but nevertheless, there it was all the same. Perhaps it was just his imagination giving him wild stories to make up for his own amusement until she was ready to actually tell her story for herself.

"Prelude. Well Prelude, I am glad to be running into you. That is a shame you cannot remember; have you had an accident or something? It is quite alright, dear. I myself cannot believe I got into such a pickle. I get lost all the time and never learn enough to obtain a guide to help me." She smiled sheepishly at that.
Prelude did not look so good, she knew as a club he could stay up for a couple days but he looked awful; he could not have done something like that. Could he?
"Are you alright? You seem to be out of sorts. Perhaps we should stop and rest for a moment. I would hate for you to pass out or something...."She trailed off realizing she had Julie's place in site. She knew from the little description those in the courts had given her. She walked up to do the door slowly and knocked.
The door opened to reveal an older Selkie gentleman. "Yes, wot are you doin' here? Wot business do you have?" He asked brusquely.
"Well Sir, I am here to retrieve a package from Miss Julie? It is pertaining to the Court of Clubs." Dilis said without a breath.
"Ah well if that is the case, come on in. Julie will be pleased to have visitors." He gestured them in and led them into a large parlor. "Wait here, and she will be in momentarily". He left the two there to retrieve the woman of the house.
"Well Prelude, hopefully this visit will be brief." Dilis said apologetically. She did not know what Prelude had planned for the day and did not want to keep him if it were pressing.

He started seeing swirling images, probably distorted versions of the actual features of the place of residence, most likely someone of importance lived there. He could see the place was large inside, yes, but many of the twisted features when he got in the house were certainly not right, he knew this even though his mind told him otherwise. "My eyes are playing tricks on me, I believe. I gotta get some rest soon. I wonder..." he trailed off, and then thought of a picture show he once saw, where the main character needed a place to stay, but he was too nervous to ask the man he had met just hours before. But the man was forward enough for the both of them, so he told the main character to just ask if he needed a place to stay, since his had caught on fire. It was a great film, Prelude had remembered, but of course, the name he had trouble remembering. There was also an interesting plot twist, but those details were too vague to even try to recount.
He could tell that his friend, Dilis, was now looking at him, waiting for him to continue with whatever he seemed to start saying. But Prelude chose to not even finish his sentence. It would be rude, and presumptuous. He was raised better than that.

As she was about to respond to Prelude she heard voices. "Visitors? Well Send them away, I am tired today."
"But Miss Julie... the woman said she had to pick up a package for the courts..."
"Oh! Oh, well why didn't you say that. Send them in!"
Shortly after, the man appeared again to bring them into Julie's room.
As Dilis entered the first thing that struck her was how old the woman was. She was definitely aging and not all that gracefully. "Miss Julie? My name is Dilis, the courts sent me to pick up a package" She frowned.
"I hope it is ready? They will be terribly upset if I were to go back empty-handed." It was times like these that Dilis hated her life. Since she joined the courts, all she had been doing the courts bidding.
"Oh yes, there is no package but she told me to give you a message. She said to tell you :
That's what you get for being foolish. We would never send you on an errand.
All our love, The Court of Clubs.
Oh my that sounds rather mean, what on earth could you have done to earn such an embarrassment?"
Dilis' face dropped a bit at the revelation.
"Well... hmm- I suppose since that is all I should be leaving. It was a pleasure to meet you Miss Julie. Thank you for your time."
She thusly turned on her heels and headed for the door, whether Prelude was following or not. As soon as she was out of sight, she ran crying down the path. They were awful, she had just joined and already they were being mean to her.

Prelude could not believe the utter audacious sight that he had just bore witness to. He started to follow her almost because of instinct. As his pace quickened, he realized that his jaw was still open. He started to run after the crying, but somehow still alluring Feline specimen. "Dilis!"
He knew in the back of his mind that he should NOT be running like this, but what else was he to do? He had the politeness enough to do this for anyone, but Dilis was different. Dilis was special. Dilis was... gorgeous. There was no other way he could put it. And it was important to him that he catch up to her. If there was any way he could make her feel better, it would come to him even if it had not occurred to him whilst trying to catch up to this beauty. Was this love? He had no time to try and ponder that right now. He needed to catch up to her, calm her down, make her feel whole again.
He also needed sleep. Badly.
She was further away now. He could barely even run fast enough without totally burning himself out, so with one last effort, he yelled at the top of his lungs: "Dillis!"
