ID: SD212 Name: Lariel Suit: Diamond Rank: Jack (Born Eight) Gender: Female Animal: Feline (Bobcat) Region: Sorgaire Range Dealer: Lauryn de Vampyre Notes: She wears a stone from her home range on a keychain bracelet. Mutation Notes: The small bright patches on her fins glow if she wants them to. The light is very dim, but quite pretty and ethereal looking. Basic Magical Ability: She can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not she actually has the natural charm and grace to pull it off. Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, she can decipher up to two languages of the player's choosing. These languages are in addition to the common tongue and the Diamond house language. Strong Magical Ability: When activated, she can cast a lie-detector spell on a card off any suit and of a rank lesser or equal to her own, once per day. Cards of equal rank would be aware of the spell, but cards of lesser rank would not. Powerful Magical Ability: When activated, she can fly for up to thirty minutes, without feeling tired...though it will make her extremely thirsty. Winged Diamonds can use this ability for effortless, perfectly controlled flight. Jack's Ability: Once a week she is now able to cause up to three people within ten feet of her to feel as though they are being watched closely from all sides. This will make the person/people feel quite paranoid as they will be unable to shake the feeling for an hour after the spell is cast. Cards ranked 5 or lower will sometimes have small panic attacks due to the constant feeling of pursuit. Candle Ability: Once a week, she is now capable of causing an incredible torrent of water to explode from the sky. She will be encased in a bubble of energy that will cause her to float on the flash flood for a full hour, though the bubble will not stop any other forms of attack or touch, she will remain dry and floating. When she activates this ability about six feet of water will flood the immediate area for about a mile around, the water is rather cold and smells a bit like hot wax for the first few seconds. It slams down out of the sky with enough force to send anything ranked Jack or lower tumbling for at least thirty seconds while they try to get themselves accustomed to the torrent sweeping them away. After half an hour, the water will slowly evaporate and leave everything wet, but not boggy. The area itself will then experience heavy rains for the next two months off and on. Teacups Ability: Once a day, this character is now able to shoot a jet of boiling water out of their palms for a full ten seconds. The jet can reach up to 100 feet in length, spraying out to about six to seven feet on the sides of the jet, this is strong enough to knock Cards ranked 9 and lower off their feet entirely, though ALL Cards will feel the agonizing burn the same. If this spell is used on Clubs, please PM the admin...the teacups may not like the fact that their ability was used against the same Suit as their creator... Silver Knife Ability: Once a week, this character is now able to cause a light silver rain to fall all around them, regardless of if they are inside or outside. It will rain up to an inch and anyone aside from herself caught in the rain will be "crusted" in silver, limiting their movement a bit, due to skin and fur sticking unpleasantly...until it can be picked off. Though if it's in fur, the fur will need to be shaved, sadly. The rain falls for about 5 minutes, and then stops. Animal Form:

Diamonds: The Fang
As a rule, Diamonds are uncommon but not too difficult to come by. They are on the upper end of society due to their color, with practically no stigmas against them. A Diamond has respect in society naturally; even if its number is of the lower cast, the fact that it is a Diamond will lift it above the other "lower" cards. Being born as a Diamond is a celebrated event and the child will probably have a happy life regardless of realm or parentage.
The Diamond symbol, the Fang, refers to their cunning and sharp, biting turns of phrase. Their uncanny intelligence and tendency toward snideness and power gives the Suit a reputation for being fangy. The fang is also normally represented a as serpent’s fang; due to their knack with charisma and bribery, they usually revel in their snake-like stereotype.
Basic Magical Ability: All Diamonds can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not they actually have the natural charm and grace to pull it off.
==========================================
Jack: Most Jacks are content to be Jacks; they get a good amount of power with little to no responsibility along with it. They are generally required in Court to deliver important messages and to carry out easy tasks that the higher-ups don't want to bother with. The work is easy, the living is good, and the responsibilities can be foisted on the Tens below them. Some Jacks, however, especially traditionalists, refuse to remain in the rank because of the title. The title, "Jack", is also shared by one of the Other Courts, the Jack's Court, of rabbits. Some Jacks find that sharing this title with rabbits is demeaning and will move up to King as soon as possible to avoid association with the stigma.
==========================================
Sorgaire Range: Residents are usually slate with a white speckled underbelly and dark blue facial markings that continue down the spine. They have a higher than normal chance for mane mutations and, when a mane appears, it is almost always silvery.
Residents of the Sorgaire Range have little to fear from invading forces or a lack of resources. Though the mountain range is mostly rocky and barren, they are often supplied with cheap food and other supplies from the Josiggy Marsh to ensure that they don't assist those in the Lowlands. Lithe and camouflaged, the members of the Range have an easy enough time blending into their surroundings and avoiding conflicts that may occur around them. Elsewhere, their coats are often praised for their simple beauty and are admired by those about them. Intelligent and aspiring to greatness, many Range dwellers will leave to seek placement in the Courts. They are prized for their quick wit and dry sense of humor toward daily life. The members of the Range often carry with them a piece of stone from their home. Losing it could cause the owner much grief.
==============================================
Felines: Felines are a common breed. They are found everywhere you look and their lifestyles make it easy for them to stretch themselves to the furthest reaches of the kingdoms. Not to be confused with the Court of Cats (who are the size of a house cat), the Felines of the realm are about the size of tigers and range from sleek Siamese to bulky alley cats in shape.

Items Used!
Silver Bell: This tiny bell never rings but isn’t actually broken. Once placed onto the chosen SD they will find that a fine crown of silver resembling a snowflake has arisen from the back of their neck. It cannot be removed as it actually is oddly colored bone rising from their neck, though it looks delightful and sparkles a tiny bit in the light. Note: Lariel wears the silver bell on a piece of black leather as a choker.
Black Candle: When she breathes in the scent of the candle, and odd thin structure erupts from her shoulders. The mutation is similar to the spines of a lion fish and though they aren't poisonous, they look exotic and match her colors. 1) The spines are about two feet long at their longest point and just small frill spines closer to the underside of her arms. 2) They bend on her and won't poke or prick. 3) Each fin (one for each shoulder) will have anywhere from eight to 13 spines. 4) Lariel can control them like any other muscle, but they tend to move better subconsciously with her emotions.
Pink Patterned Teacups: These lovely teacups are pink-glass with lovely rainbow swirls, Bog-made I'd wager. When a liquid is poured into them they will shimmer and the colors across them will swirl and change in a soothing manner until the liquid is gone, then changing back to the way the were originally. When drunk from, the cups will send a small tingle through the fingertips, causing a slight jolt to travel up the spine.
Silver knife: This knife delivered only the slightest tingle when touched and might even have been overlooked...
