As he pointed towards the chair for her to take a seat while his mate finished making the tea he gave a low chuckle. “I assure you that it is better if you do not ask wot she tempers with in her genetics.” He teased as he gave his female a look that showed he was not completely accepting in what she did but that he was not going to do anything about it.
“I think I should be going, got a shop to run and all that. I will leave you girls to your conversations.” Turning towards where Minh still stood at the counter her arm bent at an angle that would make most sick at the stomach. “Doxy-love, I am interested in going out drinking tonight you have any interest in coming along? We could leave the kids with Mnem and Aiolos.” He asked the question with an air of hints and gave a laugh at the idea of the torture that would be forced upon the canine and bat.
“You two, come with me. I think I want to hear this story.” he demanded of the two kids Whip had sent to him trying to keep all amusement out of his voice.

Minh enjoyed raspberry tea better on ice, but since they didn't have time to wait for a jug of it to settle, she decided on the honey brush instead. She placed the cups on the table, and settled into a chair.
She knew Aderlass wasn't entirely comfortable with her line of work, but they'd worked out the majority of their issues some time ago. He didn't agree with what she was doing, but he didn't try to prevent her, either.
And, hopefully, with her darling's timely distraction, Dilis wouldn't take to asking too many questions about her work. Aderlass didn't approve, and for good reason. What she did wasn't exactly legal, after all.
"Tonight sounds lovely, but we'd better take Aiolos with us this time. Crowds or not, he got jealous last time you took me out," she gave him a teasing smile, and waved him off before turning her attention back to Dilis.

She waved to Aderlass as she left and replied with a polite "It was a pleasure to meet you". Dilis enjoyed the atmosphere at Minh's house though she was a bit disappointed that Minh did not seem to want to talk about her work. It was alright though, because Dilis enjoyed her company at the least. She was an odd sort of character and it intrigued her. Aderlass had come and gone, he was a nice guy from what Dilis could tell. Perhaps she would meet him again some day.
"What does he mean about your genetics work?" She asked letting into the curiosity. It was fine if she did not want to say but Dilis had rather hoped to hear more. She was a rather large science buff and hoped to gain a better understanding of all aspects. She had already learned about bombs from Seki... genetics was definitely the next thing on her mind however.

Minh felt the small twitch she was prone to spazz into existence, eye squinted in mild irritation. It wasn't as if she was exactly secretive about her work, but she'd never liked people blatantly ignoring the obvious. The obvious being that Minh would rather not talk about her research with a complete stranger. Dilis seemed sweet enough, but...
She went with the safest explanation, and so as not to seem rude threw in a sheepish smile, "I'm working on mapping the genome, with a specialty in what causes mutations. I haven't gotten much done since I had the kids, though." Not true, but--whatever.
Hopefully, Dilis being the sweet little creature she was, would assume Minh meant more along the lines of curing said mutations. Which she'd be perfectly happy to let the feline believe, so long as Monty didn't wander into the kitchen unexpectedly. Monty was...hard to explain to people.
She took the last sip of her tea, "So you wanted to go to the magic district, right?"

Dilis knew she was probably pestering Minh about her work, she sometimes could not help herself. Her nature was of the terribly curious sort... especially where science was involved.... "Mutations? They are interesting to me as well. That is interesting to me but if you would be more comfortable you may pick the subject". She figured there was probably something sinister about Minh's work she did not want Dilis to know so since it was not her pleace to prod... she would not. She smiled at the mention of Minh's kids; she thought they were cute though a bit strange... even for children.
Dilis sipped her tea again, my my she was almost out. "Huh? Oh yes, the magic district. Yes, I still would like to go there; I have some business to attend to. Thank you again for helping, not many would " Dilis smiled. She would have been wandering around for hours had it not been for Minh. She really needed to find someone who knew their way around on her travels.

Minh smiled politely, "No worries. I have absolutely no sense of direction, myself. If I ever deviated from my regular path, I'd get so turned around I'd probably eventually find myself stranded in the Tulgey Woods." Which was the sad, sad truth of the matter; still, she remembered Mnem and her adventure fondly.
She stood, crossing to the sink to rinse out her cup. Dilis didn't exactly lack tact--something that Minh wouldn't really notice, except for having it pointed out in regards to her own behavior almost daily--she just seemed to ooze sincerity to the point of being nausea-inducing. And for some reason Minh was starting to find that particular quality of the little feline's rather annoying.
She twisted, feeling the satisfying pop and crunch of bone and cartilage, before turning her attention back to her guest, "Well, if you want to finish up your tea I suppose we can start on our way."

Dilis was enjoying the conversation with Minh but she could tell from looking out the window that time was dwindling. Father would expect her to be home soon and if she was not.. well only she knew what would happen. He was not terribly cruel but he did get upset if things did not go his way.
"Tugley Wood? Oh that sounds fun! Perhaps I should like to go out there sometime." Dilis smiled to herself remembering the stories Father had told her about Tugley Wood. As Minh rinsed out her cup, she got the idea that perhaps she should be going.
She finished the last of her tea and brought the cup over to the sink and set it down, not knowing what they do in their household. "Yes, Perhaps you are right. With my luck, I would get there and the place would be closed." She laughed. "Let us go then" she said as she headed for the door.

Minh blinked, and she couldn't help but wonder if maybe Dilis was just a tad touched in the head. No one wandered into the Tulgey Woods voluntarily; and especially not for the purpose of "fun." Luckily, though, her expression went unnoticed by Dilis--the feline had already started towards the door and was facing away from her.
The more time she spent in Dilis' presence it seemed, the more Minh actually found herself wishing she'd just been responsible for once and helped Mnem clean. Dilis, from the way she presented herself, to the way she spoke, seemed to tax heavily of Minh's energy. It was actually kind of funny--after so much time with crazies, a relatively normal, polite individual made her uncomfortable.
She was fairly certain none of these sentiments showed on her face; "Alright, then."
The Magic District really wasn't that far from where they were now--it could just be a little tricky getting from here to there and not stumbling into the red light district. She hummed as she walked.

Most seemed surprised in Dilis’ interest in the Tulgey Wood but she knew what she was doing. Father had warned her not to go there but he had not really told her why so she had always been curious growing up. She just figured she liked nature and trees and all that so it might prove to be really pretty.
Dilis liked Minh but something just did not click; her children were rather cute and nice but something about Minh was off. Following Minh, they headed to the Magic District, Minh was humming to herself and Dilis was deep in thought about her visit to the Tugley Wood. She was worried because Father had only mentioned that she would probably get lost there and people may not help her. She thought that was silly though and was determined to go and find someone kind enough to help her find her way out as well.
