Eilwyn's grin widened as he suddenly decided to hug Elyse. He made sure not to knock of the tea or anything before doing so. He was just entirely too happy not to hug her. And he would hug Dad later, since he didn't want anyone to miss out. "Thank you so much! Without you none of this would be possible!" He chirped.
Theofilus watched with an amused look. That was far beyond adorable. However, he couldn't help but wonder again how the family would take this. Good news after quite a few disasters. It was comfort, but Asha... might take this rather hard. He refrained from sighing as he watched the pair. Was there something going on their and Eilwyn was just oblivious? Theofilus couldn't tell.
Eilwyn finally let go of the mouse cat, still smiling. He was too happy not to. "Do you want anything other than tea Elyse? Like something to eat... I imagine after what you went through you might be hungry." Dad didn't need to know about the surgery, he would probably figure it out himself. He was smart like that. Eilwyn had no clue about her internship from hell, and just generally assumed that she would be hungry or something after helping putting new eyes into his head.

She was a little taken aback when Eilwyn hugged, giving a small squeak, though she overcame her surprise quickly enough returning the hug. She thought about saying once again that it was nothing but decided to just let it go. She was seriously just glad that she could help him out, especially with his sight.
When he released her she could not help but give a happy laugh. It was truly a good sight to see him so truly happy. Not that he was never happy, he had a loving and caring family so she could not say that, but it was not often that she saw such a look that was not troubled or worried.
At his offer for food her stomach decided that it was indeed hungry, giving a small gurgle. With all the nerviousment before and during and with all the excitement afterwards everything else had been forgotten. Blushing at her stomach making itself known she replied softly. “Something simple to eat sounds tempting, if it is not too much hassle.”

"It's not a hassle at all," Theofilus interjected as he stood up, setting his tea back on the try. "I'll fix some lunch for the two of you. You two probably have things to talk about and all that." The sparrow waved a hand before making his way to the kitchen. Finger sandwiches would probably cover it for them, hopefully Elyse wasn't all that picky. Not like Eilwyn could cook either. He snorted at the very thought, those were going to be some fun lessons.
Eilwyn wiggled a bit in his seat. He was too happy to stay still. He looked back at his tea before sitting it down. So many things to cover now that he could see. He didn't know exactly what everyone or everything looked like now that so much time had passed since he could see. Then something hit him like a ton of bricks. "I don't... know how to fly."

“Thank you so much Mr. Theofilus.” she said with a small bow of her head when he said he would go see to getting them some food. Eilwyn’s family really was quite different then her own. Not to say she did not love her family’s craziness and random explosions, just sometimes because of it she was caught off guard to see a family interact any differently.
She continued to smile when she sensed that he was wiggly from his excitement. This was really a happy day! At his words she was not fazed. Patting his knee she simply said, “No time like the present. That should be something that is fixable as long as you practice at it, right? So once your eyes finish healing it should take you no time to be able to fly.” She took a sip of the tea.
She had to suppress a small dance, she was sure he would look wonderful flying about, and she was more then happy to look forward to it.

"Oh... How long is it supposed to take to heal properly again? I was so terrified over all of it, I don't think I remember," Eilwyn said quietly. He didn't want Dad to hear even if he was working in the kitchen. Dad didn't need to know the details, even though he would piece them together sooner or later. Well at least he wouldn't piece together the part where he had the operation in the shady part of the city. That would probably give Dad a heart attack.
"And I don't think I can thank you enough," the eagle said as he gave Elyse a teary eyed look. He was happy enough that he could cry. He wouldn't though, because he was sure it would hurt a bit. He still had a bit of a headache from all of it. The lighting wasn't helping all that much either.
Theofilus returned with a tray filled with sandwiches. He set it down with a small grin slipping onto his beak. Why were all his children growing up?

The mouse looked down at her tea cup. She was honestly embarrassed that she had not bothered to find out. With all of the commotion, that had gone on and with Temmin leaving halfway though, it was not surprising, though. Hiding the embarrassment behind a contemplative brow she tilted her head to the side in thought before looking up again.
“ It should only take about a week or two for the nerves to finish healing, though I probably would not push your eyes too much for the next month. We do not want you causing them too much harm. Make sure you keep them shaded if you go outside – though for the first two weeks I would avoid as much sunlight as you could, since it could cause damage.” She would see if she could find Temmin as soon as possible and check with him to make sure that that was correct.
She returned the smile, though hers was considerably less watery. When his dad returned with sandwiches she gave him her thanks before grabbing up one and devouring it. Surgery was a hunger causing business apparently.

Theofilus dutifully refilled the cups, still grinning. He sat down after taking one of the sandwiches and watched the pair. Should he just wander off to try and take a nap again? That was a bit rude when people were in the house. He hadn't much to say though... well actually. "Where exactly... did this all go one? I mean, you said he got "new eyes" so what exactly did you have to go through for all of that?"
Eilwyn froze in mid-thought. He was perfectly okay with taking time to heal. Then Dad decided to ask the hard Questions that he was too afraid to answer. He didn't want to give dad a heart attack or anything. Problem was Eilwyn didn't know how to lie. So it was just a generally complicated mess. He looked over to Elyse trying his hardest to cover his distress.
Theofilus raised an eyebrow. What exactly had the pair of them done to get his eyesight back if Eilwyn was dead silent like that?

The mouse paused for a moment at his questions before giving him a smile. Patting Wyn’s arm she turned her full attention to his dad.
“I contacted a healer, Mr Temmin, through some other healers that work here in the Capital. He is quite famous for his skills.” Temmin was apparently well known for his healing art and many had been quick to offer up his name, though some had been outright in their doubt of her actually managing to get a hold of him to help. “After contacting him and talking to him over time he agreed to help and show me how to do the operation. Today we met him in the Outer Bazaar.
“The process itself involved replacing his eyes with brand new ones, which Temmin brought along in this box he had created.” She pointed to the black cold box that was on her lap. “He showed me wot to do and helped and overlooked the process.”
Alright . . . so maybe she had left out a few details – mostly those of which she was sure Mr. Theofilus would not be happy about, but she had not lied in any way.

Theofilus shifted uncomfortably at the mention of the Outer Bazaar. Of course they had to go to the shady parts of town. They had to be leaving things out. Just had to, but he was going to let sleeping dogs lie. "I see," He said, before taking a bite of his sandwich. If he was eating he couldn't ask anymore questions and start worrying himself to death.
Eilwyn was relived, if that even covered it. He closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair for a few moments before giving his Dad a smile. "Is there anything you want to do after lunch Elyse? I think we interrupted Dad while he was trying to take a nap."
"It's not a problem," Theofilus interjected between bites of his sandwich. He wasn't going to stop them either. They could do whatever they wanted.
"Uh well... is there anything you were planning? I mean I probably should rest or something since my head still hurts a little bit," he frowned. It was the lighting probably, he still wasn't used to this whole seeing again thing. "I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm kicking you out...I'm not. I really want to do something."
Theofilus took this chance to quietly exit the room so they could discuss things. This was none of his business at the moment, and he still need to wrap his head around the information Miss Elyse provided him with.
