Pascha made a noncommital noise in response. Sure, sure, whatever. All Ader was doing was tempting him to go tell Malc to do something completely wrong, just so Ader would yell at Pascha and Pascha could laugh.
He followed the mouse's progress to the chair with his eyes, and raised an eyebrow at him as he sat down. It was clear that his back was bothering him, and Pascha almost offered to go find the nurse that usually helped him put on his cream--but didn't. Aderlass would probably glare at him for suggesting it, and the owl knew if he needed help he'd say something.
Pfft, pretty feathers. Who needed pretty feathers? Pascha had his own pretty.. white.. and boring.. feathers. Blech, okay, he needed pretty feathers, but he could just go dye his or something. He didn't need Malc's pretty feathers. "Better than Rai's fur?" Pascha replied with a grin.

In the middle of shifting his position to become more comfortable he could not help but laugh at the owl’s retort. “Oh, Malc’s feathers are much better than Whip’s fur. His “fur” as you call it is way too short to count or provide much comfort.” He ran a hand through his own fur, as if he was adding to the insult of his friend’s short hide. Though he had never, and would never, touch neither the bird nor the horse as more then a friend, he was aware, however, from nights spent with Ez that the bird’s feathers would be softer then far compared to fur.
“And his coloring, the Selkie Lakes marks, I have to say he wears those quite well. I have always had an admiration for their color and markings.” To himself he wondered if there was more to the Sparrow that keep reminding him of Ez.

"Yes, but it's also much more colorful. All that green.." He dropped off, an eyebrow raised, but after a moment gave it up with a snort. It was entertaining trying to annoy Aderlass with mentions of Shinrai, but it wasn't an easy pretense to keep up when you were trying not to laugh. "Feathers? Comfort? You have to preen these things to keep them in good shape, all you have to do is get in a tub, what are you talking about?" He muttered loudly with a bit of a scowl. His feathers were mostly white on top of it, and white was just annoying to keep clean.
To his annoyance Aderlass continued talking about Malc and Malc's feathers, which only made Pascha want to walk out and go see them for himself (again), which he didn't need to do. At all. Pascha didn't reply but merely muttered under his breath about why didn't Ader just go find some Selkie to have babies with and leave him alone?

He did not comply with the owl’s teasing instead he just raised an eyebrow. “Green was so not my color.” he replied. Green really was not, it clashed too much with his red fur.
Giving a grin he commented, “If you tried taking a bath sometime, maybe it would help.” He well knew that the owl was very obsessive over having clean feathers and took regular baths. “Besides,” he added, [color=teal “all that preening is part of the fun with the feathers.”[/color]
He continued on for a moment, not missing the owl’s mutterings before he changed the subject.
"So are you still thinking of going for Jack?” The owl had mentioned it a little while back but they had not really had the chance to talk about the subject. He was glad to hear that the owl had some interest in the court, other then being around him and Malc, though he was a little worried how the owl would take the Quest.

"Maybe in a darker tone it would be!" He teased with a snicker. Maybe for a good joke he would find a nice dark forest green cloth and wallpaper it in Ader's suite.. That would be entertaining, oh yes it would.
"Excuse me? You're the one that scurries around on the ground, you should take baths more often, not me!" The owl gave him a disgusted look and resisted the urge to begin preening some of his feathers. It wouldn't do to prove Aderlass's point quite so soon.
"Yes, I am." Pascha responded immediately. All he wanted to do with his life at this point was King for Aderlass--he had no other direction, and nothing else to prove. His Jack was the first step to telling himself and the world that he wasn't incapacitated by his insanity, and he would work through it.

“I beg your pardon. I do not ‘scurry’ on the ground.” The mouse retorted, his tone dropping some of the teasing. He rarely changed back to his animal form, the semblance and the usefulness of the bipedal outweighing that of the animal. It was all in jest, however, so he turned his attention to the more serious matter.
He still vividly remembered his own quest with the canine as well as what Minh had told him of hers. It had definitely been a trial to learn a little more about one own ability, either way – or in Minh’s case both – that the person chose.
“I do not believe that I am allowed to tell you anything, it would spoil all the fun. However I will pass on these words to you and let you decipher them as you wish. Not everything in this world is as it appears, my friend. And, not everything is as we think it is.”

"Uh, I beg to differ.. Pascha replied with a snort, his voice retaining it's teasing element though Aderlass had dropped some of his. "Remember that one time, at that one place, where you dropped that one thing on the floor.. yeah. I think you know what I mean." By that time Pascha had stopped bothering to make any sense, he was so amused with himself; the owl managed to retain his composure, however, and simply smiled widely at the mouse.
He quickly sobered when the subject turned back to his upcoming quest. Anoushka.. oi. Pascha hesitated to even consider what she would throw at him, given her intense dislike of him. "Delightfully vague, why thank you," He replied with the utmost of sarcasm as he could manage. "I shall live my life a better person because of those wise words of wisdom, and never shall I let a day pass that I do not follow them faithfully." Once again Pascha managed to keep himself from laughing, though he had to transfer the pent up energy into a solemn nod, lest it go elsewhere.

“You do not have to be such a wise guy, you know” the mouse replied to the lad with a small frown. He gave a shrug before continuing, “I can only hope that those ‘oh so vague’ words will indeed help you out in the future.”
Falling silent he watched the owl for a moment before turning his gaze away to stare at nothing in particular. It really would be nice to see the owl raise his rank to that of a Jack. Of course through that he would probably lose some of the lad’s company, he had already lost some of it to Malc – though there were no harsh feelings over it. Maybe he should by a Bander? A Highland Bander at that. He was sure that Whip had mentioned owning one; he would have to ask.
“I do not know about you, but I am starting to get hungry. You joining me for lunch or do you have other plans?”

"Sorry, sorry," Pascha said with a sigh, finally calming down. "You know I can't help it sometimes." The owl added a sugary smile to his words, hoping to get out of another disapproving look.
At his question, Pascha paused to think it over. He didn't have specific plans, but he generally skipped lunch to go.. well.. he wasn't going to state exactly what he did, even to himself, but what he usually did wasn't something he was going to include Aderlass in. Or anyone else, really. Heck, even the other person it involved didn't know they were involved..
His thoughts quickly becoming incoherent even to his own scrambled mind, the owl shrugged. "I'm free. What do you have in mind?" With that he stood up and offered Ader a hand up, then started out of the door to the kitchens.
