Heilyn rubbed the bridge of her nose between her eyes and opened the shop door. Now that she had her Human form, she could keep select people away (for the most part, anyway) with intimidation rather than repulsing everyone with her stench now that she had her human form. She had no more reason for keeping her smell. The taste of her fur, yes, as it was a very effective defensive mechanism while she was in her furred forms. but the smell? She was a politician now, and had to be this thing called "so-cial". She absolutely bristled at the sight of the filthy interior. Had she not received so many recommendations for the place, she wouldn't have even walked down the street it was on. She double-checked the address... yep... this was it... She took a breath in and composed herself. She'd heard of the barber's mental instability and wish to offend him a little as possible. "Hello?" she called in a calm voice, looking around the store. She was leaning on one leg, one hand on the hip with greater altitude.

The door on the right, that looked as though it might connect to the shoppe next door, banged open, the smell of food and something burning wafting into the dusty, grey room. A tall, Bipedal wolf trudged in, his hair untidy and his eyes looked hollow and darkened, as though he hadn't slept in quite some time. He paused at seeing the Human in his shoppe, his eyes reflecting dull surprise as he looked her over. He then snorted and moved around to his table, grabbing up a rumpled sheet of paper and handing it to her. "'M a bit busy, miss. Tell me what you fink you want an' then pay...then I'll get righ' on it."He backed away to his chair again and eyed her once more...he couldn't tell her region...and she gave off quite the funk. What was she?

My, my he's... quite the business man, isn't he? she thought as she was roughly handed a piece of paper, which she didn't even look at. she didn't even bother looking through the open door into the next shop. Curiosity was not striking her at the moment. She stared directly at the wolf.
"What I think I want? Sir, I already know what I want. I came here specifically because I was told by multiple people that you could help me," she was very blunt. She continued being so as she spoke, "I am from the Raemblen Bog, and Cards of my region, quite frankly, smell terrible. I can here to find out if you could be rid of the fetid swamp water smell."
My goodness, he was a handsome fellow, though. No wonder Gertrude came here instead of the more reputable shop in the Upper District. However, her face remained neutral, hiding her amusement.
"Can you do it?"

His ears were flattened slightly against his skull at her rude response but...she was being direct...
"Of course you do, my humblest apologies, miss. It's jus' tah' most people wha' come in 'ere 'ave less of a brain then they should. Had I known that you were of higher caliber, I would have fought ahead, miss." He said with a mock formal bow and a slight grin.
Oh, a heart was she? That explained a lot.
He was, however, calmed and pleased, by the fact that she had been referenced here...glad to know his business seemed that good to his...regulars...
"The Bog? Never heard of it, where's it location, if I may ask?"
He muttered, looking over his chart.
He snorted.
"can I do it? Miss, of course I can, the question we have here is will I?"
He turned to he with a slight smile.
"And that's an easy fing for you to find out. 30p, you got it?.....Or haven't you?"
He held out his palm to her. Once he was paid, he would get to work.
((Once I see the points subtracted, he'll get truckin'!!!))

[>.> I need to add soo many points... but teh Sudokus... dey calls to me... D8 ]
An eyebrow raised at his mock bow. It wasn't the Heart pride, or even the fact that she was now a member of the Court. It was her personal arrogance that made her upper lip give the slightest of twitches. But she gave no more indication of her annoyance. Slapping th man around for his rudeness would only make her stay in this filthy little shop longer, and possibly not get the procedure done.
"It's a small strip of land located between the Tulgey Wood and Golfham Marsh, sir," she said, indicating the Bog's location smack between two thoroughly unfriendly regions, "we've only recently made ourselves known, so many haven't even heard of us, let alone can conceive anyone living in such a place."
She pulled out the money for him and handed it to him. As she gave it to him, she gripped his hand in a firm grip.
"I would like to make it clear that I do not want any perfume. The only scent I want is my own. am I clear?" she was not being threatening in the way she spoke, though many Animals would argue that her making direct eye contact was a challenge to fight, she was simply clarifying.

He nodded at the information about the location of this...Bog...sounded downright awful. No wonder she was such a terribly rude person...that and the fact that she was a Heart...
Hearts.
He reached out to take the money and had his hand grasped in a vise-like grip. His ears pressed further back and he grinned, his hackles rising slightly as she spoke down to him...
"Of course, miss. Anyfing the customer desires..."
He led her over to the chair and pulled out the footrest so that she could sit comfortably in her Human form. He then moved over to his wooden table and dug out two tiny pots, a vial of clear liquid, and a beaker. He then reached for a few brushes and a small mug.
He would need to see if this horrid woman pressed her luck further...perhaps she would be leaving with a surprise or two...
"Won't take long, Miss...jus' 'ave to mix a few fings..."
He began to mix a few things in the beaker, listening to the fizz and then reaching over to the woman's face, getting uncomfortably close and flipping open his razor, drawn quickly from his pocket...almost faster than the eye could see.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, Miss...I need a sample of your oils...won't hurt at all unless you move..."

Hmm, she seemed to be making him angry, judging by the position of his ears. Well, tough. Heilyn was going to get what she wanted, and she would never have to deal with the man again, so to hell with him. She released the money with a smirk. "Thank you, it is more appreciated than you know."
Her eye twitched as she was lead to the filthy, cracked leather chair and, ungh, sat in it. She gave acurt nod of thanks as he pulled out the footrest for her. She looked over at what he was doing and the object her brought back with him. She nodded then looked to the wall in front of her, away from him.
"Do what you must," was her reply. Then he started... invading her bubble. Her reaction time was quick, stopping herself from punching him as he whipped out the knife. Her only reaction was her eyes snapping to the direction of the blade without her head moving and her hand twitching to almost make a fist. She relaxed and returned to her previous position and nodded. Gertrude said he wouldn't hurt me... though she is a Diamond. she was probably able to charm him into sanity.
She stayed as still as a statue as he took the sample, almost inhumanly still, not even blinking, so as to not give him any excuse.

Mr. Todd swiftly brought the blade up against her cheek, feeling her discomfort and allowing it to calm him, his face smoother back into a bland non-committal expression and he scraped the blade lightly down her face, pulling it back to reveal it glistening on the edge with oil.
"I will, fank you, Miss."
He murmured with a smile, wiping the blade tip with a tiny scrap of cloth and dropping it, soaked in the Human's oils into the small beaker. He then unscrewed the lids of the pots and added a few drops of their contents.
He began to hum softly, stirring the mixture gently and then pulling out a small Bunsen burner and setting the beaker on it. A half a minute later, he removed it and wafted the fumes lightly toward his face with a grin. Holding it out to her, gingerly, he spoke.
"Smell that, Miss. Tell me, do you detect any odor other than that of your own skin?"

This was... a very custom job, Heilyn realized, relaxing and turning to watch him work. Then again, she hardly expected him to have a can of Bog-Stink Away just lying around. She was fascinated by the work he was doing, though she had no idea what exactly it was he was doing. This was really nothing Bernard probably couldn't do, but he was far too busy for her to be bothering with her cosmetic issues. He wafted the fumes to his nose and smiled. Was he... done already? That was fast. She blinked and her eyebrows raised slightly, showing that she was impressed... if it worked.
She smelled the concoction, not sensing much of a difference. She grabbed a bit of her own hair, sniffed it, then went back to the potion for comparison. Her brow furrowed, it was too subtle to tell...
Then it hit her. She placed a finger to her forehead, laughing lightly at herself. Idiot, she thought, how could you forget so easily? She shifted into her Bipedal form and was able to smell far more clearly the difference (although, Mr. Todd could probably clearly smell the difference now, too, and see the difference of the the Bog's unique coat). Yes. That was nice. It was the scent of a natural musk, completely devoid of that wretched Bog odor. she wondered if the scent of her own Home would bother her when she returned home...
"No, I do not. Will I have to shift back?" He would probably prefer it, actually, but it was best to ask.

[It's delighting me...adorably "What"? to "well, you're an ass aren't you, miss?" XDD]
He liked that she had noticed the speed of his work. He did this sort of spell often enough for those who...didn't want to be followed..
This was really less difficult because he didn't have to obliterate her smell altogether, just the unpleasant part of it.
He watched her sniff at it...then shift...a Canine? Hmmm, not bad Heart.
The sudden wave of stench actually pushed him back a few feet, stumbling and shaking his head.
"Pfffaw, wha' a stink! I can see why you need it now...vials! No, no don't shift back, it'll be easier like this. This may take a few minutes, hold still please."
He tried his best to breathe only through his mouth as he dipped one of the small combs into the mixture and then began to run it through her fur. Constantly re-dipping, it would take fifteen minutes to get her entire body.
