Dilis bowed in reply to Ceren. It was nice to do for others and she was glad she had made Ceren happy. She turned back to Mori and smiled. "Good, that works perfectly because my friends shoppe is on Walter street. Aw, you have a younger sister? I would love to meet her!" She was thrilled at the prospect of meeting more people, she just knew today was going to be a good day and it was turning out to be true.
"Let us paint the town red today! We will go anywhere and everywhere you want to. I hope however that Gale has the music box still... The last time I was in there was a beautiful music box that played Claire de Lune, my favorite song. I wanted it but Hatter said it was cursed; I don't really believe in that stuff though" Dilis laughed. "He was probably just trying to frighten me any way."

Mori nodded in reply. "Technically... She's my half-sister." she admitted, voice almost sad. "She's blind, so my mom actually pays me to stay at home and help her out. She's such a sweetheart. I think you two would get along well, so I hope that there will be time for you to meet her." Mori bit back the worries that were starting to gnaw at her gut. What if she found something out that made her not want to introduce the feline to her sister?
She would have to deal with that issue when it arrived, if it did.
Mori smiled cheerily at Dillis, her worries evaporating quickly. "A music box, you say? I would love to see it! What kind of store is it in?" her excitement was incredible. Perhaps, depending on her answer, she would be able to find some sort of a present for Asha. That would cheer her up quite a bit, and she had some spare money on hand beyond that which was set aside for buying the groceries.

"It must be nice to have siblings... I myself am an only child. I used to wish I had a sister though" Dilis sighed. "Blind? Oh, the poor dear. That's terribly sad but it's nice that you are there to take care of her; she's lucky to have someone who cares about her. If you would like to go to her, I would certainly like to meet her; she sounds absolutely precious" Dilis smiled.
"Yes, a pretty little music box. Although.... Gale might try to warn me about it like Hatter did. It's a trinkets and doodads shop, it's all sorts of merchandise and the shopkeep, Gale is terribly nice too" Dilis was beaming, she loved being able to talk about the shop; since the last time she was in there, she couldn't stop thinking about the shop or the music box.
Mori is really nice.... she would probably make a rather nice doll as well. As of late Dilis noticed she could send messages to others without having to be physically in front of them... Yes. Perhaps I shall have to get to work later...

Mori laughed openly. "You're so lucky! I have four other full siblings, and then there's Asha." the house had been so busy when it was just herself and Ceren, but whenever the boys came for a visit it was just packed! "I mean, it was really nice never being alone, but... Sometimes, having a chance to be with your parents is nice. Sometimes being alone is also nice." from the way she said it, it was clear that she'd never felt that way, but that she did get overwhelmed by the sheer size of her family.
"They've all moved out now, of course. I still live at home to help take care of Asha, but... Ceren lives in the courts. She's just here for a visit." she was still smiling, but it was a little sad. At least she still had Asha to keep her company... And a new friend, she hoped!
"I can't wait to meet them." she remarked, and then her expression changed slightly. "But... Cursed, really. That's so strange. Did they tell you how it was cursed?" Mori's brow wrinkled slightly. Something that sounded as beautiful as the music box, cursed...? It just didn't seem fair in her mind. They would have to check it out soon, and maybe she could get her father's opinion on the matter.

"Oh my! Five siblings? I wish I had that many, then I might not be so bored at home. Yeah... I do know what you mean, I really cherish the time I get with Father. He just gets so wrapped up in his work that I think he forgets he has a daughter."
The Courts.... she could not wait for the day she could live in the courts, she was just about ready to take her test to be a Jack and she hoped everything would go smoothly. Father would be very pleased if I could achieve Jack Rank.
Dilis smiled at Mori's expression regarding the music box. "Yes well, Hatter said it was cursed and I should not mess around with it. I however do not really believe in that nonsense and want to know what it "does". She giggled at the notion "The shopkeep had said that he kept getting it back but there is only one way to find out why I suppose. Are you game for finding that information?"

"Hehe!" Mori grinned widely to herself, looking thoughtful for a moment. "It's a shame I didn't meet you when we were younger! I could have traded you some, but we're all grown now except for Asha. It's much quieter now, with Mom, Dad, and Miss Kel all off at work all day and only Asha and I at home, but it's nice all the same. Ceren's visiting from the courts right now, so it's been good to spend some more time with her." the sparrow swung her basket as they walked, a carefree movement.
Mori had learned a number of things in regards to cursed items, and in her estimation it was always better to find out what the curse was before you messed with it. She had heard so many stories... Ah, well. For now, at least, this could lead to some fun. If the music box was pretty enough, perhaps the sparrow would look into what the shopkeep said the curse was... She didn't want any harm to befall the sweet feline! "Of course I am! It's not every day that you come across a cursed music box... And I could always stand to learn some new stories to tell Asha when she gets bored." the sparrow smiled happily at Dillis, the corners of her eyes crinkling slightly.

"Wow!" Dilis smiled thoughtfully. "It sounds like a very full life you have had. Mostly it was just Father and I, my mother passed away when I was younger." She looked away sadly but soon recovered. "No sense in dwelling in the past though!" Dilis said cheerfully.
When the sparrow agreed to going to Gale's, it made Dilis very happy. She had intended on going anyway but she was glad she would at least have a companion now... and a very nice one at that. "I am terribly intrigued by the thing because of the curse but also because it plays my favorite song. With my luck I will never find out what the thing does. I really do not care what it curses me with, as long as it does not cause me to die I can live through it; I just need to know is all." Dilis was a terribly curious person and sometimes a bit too much so.

"O-oh." Mori faltered slightly, glancing downwards. She felt a pang of sorrow for the feline, and she wasn't entirely sure what to say or do. Dillis seemed to be doing just fine, however, and Mori gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know it doesn't mean a whole lot now, but... I'm sorry. If you ever need someone to talk to about anything, then you can talk to me." that was really all that she could think to say at this point. She couldn't imagine a life without either of her parents.
But Dillis was right. You couldn't spend your time dwelling on things that had happened to you in the past, no matter how horrible or difficult they were. She was trying to learn this fact herself, and it was hard to do.
So instead she focused on walking and keeping up the light chatting. "Y-You don't think it could do that, r-right?" Mori said, looking a little nervous all of a sudden. She had, of course, heard stories of that kind of curse, but she never wanted to believe them. Now she had gone and made herself look like the panicy sort, so she attemped to play it off with a quiet laugh and a brisk shaking-out of her feathers. "I'd hate for something horrible to happen to you so soon after our first meeting!"
Surely they were getting close to the store by now, weren't they?

Dilis looked up at Mori and smiled brightly. "Thank you Mori dear, that really does mean a lot to me. It is okay though, she passed when I was four. I have had plenty of time to mend my wounds; I do thank you for offering however."
She was glad when Mori changed the subject, it made Dilis sad sometimes to think of her mother and the "accident". Thoughts like that caused her to get migraines and Father was the only one who knew how to make her feel better.
"Honestly I am not sure what the music box does, all I know is that Hatter was against me buying it and I intend on finding out why." Dilis felt bad for a moment for making Mori worry but the music box did not feel it was a huge issue. She did not feel the music box posed a huge threat to her but then again, she was terribly naive about these things.
"Oh look, Gale's store is just ahead if you would like to pop in? I remember you saying you wanted to get some errands done so really it is up to you." Dilis asked hoping she would opt to visit Gale instead.
