It was strange for her to watch the large green male bouncing along excitedly next to her Inca, knowing whose child it was. When had they even met? Astyana couldn't recall having taken them to the capital before. She'd been very careful about hoarding them until she knew they were responsible enough. She'd heard too many stories about herself as a child to not be paranoid. "Hey gimpy, catch up would ya?" The Corvistowne mix sneered back at the male walking carefully next to her, poor Irving who with all his beauty, had a minor defect that prevented him from walking very well. He'd tried to run once but that had been quite the ordeal. Since then she'd been trying to get him out for as many slow walks as possible, hoping it would help him strengthen his back and get used to the motion a little more. It seemed to be... kind of working, though he still couldn't keep up with any of the other children. "Coming..." He sighed to himself, hanging his head as he tried to push ahead a little harder. His mother's hand on his shoulder stopped him however, and he looked up with eyes so pleading, as if she could help him go faster, to run and jump and play. But he didn't really want to. It hurt and he looked like an idiot, so he walked slowly, calmly, and wished for this curse to leave him alone. Inca felt pity for her brother, but she was very much caught up in her own life far too much to consider his. She was vain and intelligent, and she'd been told it far too often in her short years of life, hence the vanity. She was also blessed with an interesting mutation. Though she did envy Irving's plush mane, she had these big lovely wings which apparently would be able to hold her in the air as an adult. Her heart positively skipped a beat with the thought. Flying... "We're going up ahead now, try to keep up, will you?" She asked back towards her sibling and her mother as she urged Rindal to pick up his pace of walking. Soon they would be at the park, and Astyana would want to rest, and they could go about their own business. She didn't need a bodyguard.

Ilana didn't approve of the Corvistowne mixes harsh words towards her brother. After all, it was not like he was even part of the family anyway! What gave him the right to act so rudely to people anyway. In a very non-Ilana fashion she snorted at the feline, "Don't say such things to my brother!" she said as she walked slowly alongside Irving, like her mother encouraging him as best she could. Such words hurt her brother's feelings, and she nuzzled his head a little with her own, giving him a small smile. Her attempt at consoling him.
Claudius pranced in front, agreeing with her sister's words, though not meddling. He knew his mother and Ilana would take care of it if it got out of hand, though he give give a side glance to the feline that clearly said "Don't say that."
Aurelius was behind, close to his sister Ilana and Irving and his mother, where most of the people were. That was usually his scene, and he was happy to be close to lots and lots of people. It made him feel cared for, and it made him feel happy that he cared for so many people in such a small place, though he realized, there really wasn't anyone he didn't like. Even the Corvistownian mix who had spoken out of line, "I'm sure he didn't mean it.." he piped up in small defence of the other, though he knew also that what the feline had said was out of line.
"I wonder if dad will be running late to the park, he seems to be late to alot of things lately." he said to the family following behind him, making up his siblings and his anxious mother. She seemed slightly upset about something, probably what prompted him to talk about his father. To comfort her maybe. Severus walked close to Ophelia, with a bored expression on his face. He had left the palace of hearts to come on this small trip to the park with his family because it was stated that it was important. However, he was far from happy to be away from his new home, child or not. His only conselation was the fact taht he was going to be able to spend some time with his mother, who he had not seen in some time thanks to his time away at the palace. "I'm quite sure he will be." he said distastefully, his words sharp with annoyance. Vertumnus gave him a look, but this time it didn't get a rise out of Severus. He was done with his brother's hatred for him, and rather tired of his interactions with him in general.

Anxious barely began to describe the current state of Ophelia's feelings. Astyana... It was hard to picture her as one of Silvanus's lovers instead of Igal's childhood best friend. It was sad really, the things one let lust stand in the way of. Or, was it love that Astyana believed she had for Silvanus? Ophelia strummed her fingers along her thigh, looking distant and just a little distraught. It was hard to tell if it was jealousy toward Astyana or anger at the events which had pulled Igal and Silvanus apart which left her in such a state, but regardless of which, it was there. A twittering agitation that her children undeniably recognized. Tumnus's comment on Silvanus didn't exactly help, but she allowed herself to relax a little and to smile sweetly at the colt. "Most likely, but let's not worry about that now. He'll catch up soon, and there will be other children to play with while we wait."Other children... She bit her lip slightly, scanning over her judgmental little group. Tumnus and Xylia were likely to take this the hardest, being as close to their father as they were, and Tumnus more so due to his naive belief of their 'family' status. Mephit and Severus were likely to care little, but Severus no doubt would have something to say of his father's promiscuous ways. This was going to be a turbulent reunion without a doubt. At least, for the moment this distracted her from the other worry fluttering at the back of her mind: Severus's new home within the Courts. He was happy there, she could say that much, but it was consuming him just as it consumed all else. As it had consumed her father. Mephitisia was silent as she followed along with her 'family', her eyes dark and cold as ice. The fact that she didn't want to be here was obvious, but a sick part of her was also quite intrigued. She had overhead Silvanus and Ophelia talking and she knew what this meeting was for. It was not a day at the park. Oh no. They were meeting new half-siblings, and this wasn't one of Mother's genetic experiments. It was a secret, one that would flip some happy little worlds around quite a bit. She wanted to watch them all crumble, it would be her delight...but Mephit was also here to protect her 'puppet' from being broken. This would hurt Xylia, the happy green-banded form which pranced along at the head of the group, but no one but Mephit knew just how deeply it would. The girl was sweet, she was idealistic...she believed that 'Mommy' and 'Daddy' were happy together, that everything was normal... She, like Tumnus, was blind to the tension that stood between them one the rat-mix left. Mephit wasn't, and she assumed Severus was not either. Both of them saw far too clearly.
Glancing over his shoulder, Seki crept into the park with a look of frustration and displeasure. Cecilia had, without his knowledge, been appointed his personal 'guardian' and while he enjoyed the girl's company there was only so much he could take of his less than 'appropriate' ways. She was old enough to decide what to do with her life, he guessed, but he still got a bad taste in his mouth every time she vanished into the shadows with a boy. They were only 15... Slumping down against a tree, the young feline sighed and closed his eyes to reality. Cecilia was one again off with a stranger and he was on his own, the latter was not entirely a bad thing, but he was still left to ponder and worry on things that a boy his age should not have thought about while the sad truth remained that far too many did.

Irving smiled his thanks at Ilana, leaning his head on her shoulder for a moment, a look in his eyes pleading her not to start anything. "It's alright, really... I don't care." But he did. He really hated not being able to play or walk properly, or do all of the things his siblings could do. He hated holding them back, their sympathy, and if Astyana had the heart to have told him yet, he'd probably hate the men involved in doing this to him. His father, not as much, but still, he thought men were supposed to be strong to protect their mates. He was too young to worry about himself in that position, but it wouldn't be long before he questioned his competence as a good mate in later life. He wasn't much good to anyone like this.
Rindal snorted under his breath and grinned, he liked getting a rise out of them, a little runt even more pitiful than... well, than he had been. But he was big now, bigger than them. And stronger, and more ambitious... He was just better. So of course he could assert his dominance, he felt his presence next to Inca was a fine prize, though she wasn't quite old enough to understand the sideways grins he gave. She was... cool, distant, apathetic, and dare he say it? He liked that in a woman. Though he wished he could rattle her too, it was nice to know she wouldn't hound him like everyone else did. "Yeah yeah, whatever." He responded flippantly, tossing his head back and kicking up his feet as he trotted ahead.
Inca sighed but didn't say a thing. She was used to this petty behaviour, males were so bothersome. She truly disliked their company, but she didn't care either way enough to make a big fuss over it, so she remained quiet and observant, but generally appearing to be unopinionated. She knew this made her mother worry, but it wasn't any lack of affection that made her so cool, it was just how she'd ended up. She had a vicious jealous streak in her too, and very much coveted Claudius. Though her distant nature didn't let her show it much.
Astyana walked on patiently, knowing that her children had exceptional problem solving skills for ones so young. They tended to pack together and watch each other's backs, a strange bonding that not many large groups of siblings had. Though some hid it and others made a joke of it, and Irving was too shy to show affection to anyone other than Ilana, she knew they all would protect themselves and their siblings. Rindal still made her uncomfortable, but if Inca could tolerate him, well, maybe she could convince him that he didn't have to be anyone but himself to impress her. Whoever 'himself' actually was. They approached the park, and Astyana found a bench quickly, still weary from giving birth, though her size was already quickly shrinking, it wasn't stomach weight that tired her, but simply not having had any excercise for weeks. "You can go play now, but stay in my sight please." It was a long shot, but some days they all listened.

Tumnus continued to march in the frontmost part of the group along with Xylia, who was the only one of his three siblings he had ever managed to get along with. Severus stayed back with his mother, happy to be in her presence for this short time. He could see the look of anticipation on Mephit's face, and got an eerie feeling from it, though it didn't truely concern him. But usually when the female was interested or happy about something, bad things tended to happen. He found himself intregued as well, though not really worried. At any rate they would find out what was going on when his father got there, after all...he had been the one to bring them all together.
Ilana would never start anything. She wasn't exactly agressive enough to do that. But that certainly didn't stop her from saying something. She gave Irving a reassuring smile before looking back at Rindal with a snort of distaste. Aurelius looked a bit sad that there had to be fighting but said nothing in return to everything that was going on. "Are you sure? he asked, knowing that Irving was always suffering and feeling a great sadness for him. He would help cheer him up with Ilana...they could play some low activity game that was still fun together at the park or something.
Claudius shook his head a bit at the obscure child. Being a bully for being a bullies sake was not exactly something he could comprehend. It was just...annoying to him. He paid him no mind after his initial warning however, turning to Inca instead with a playful 'confused' look on his features. "Why are you friends with him again?" he asked with a smile, low enough so that Rindal couldn't hear, though some part of him didn't really care if he did hear him.
Not really waiting for an answer, once the children were set loose, Claudius took off, running and leaping with all the grace of his breed, giggling as the wind whipped past him in his speed. It was a very free and dizzing feeling, going as fast as he was. Aurelius' tail wiggled, he thought it looked like fun, but he didn't want to leave Ilana's and Irving's side. Ilana however, with a nudge excused him to go with Claudius, she would take care of Irving. Aurelius smiled at both of them before bounding off after his brother, in what was looking to be a high speed game of tag. Ilana lay next to Irving, laying her head on his back.

A swift barrage of voices and movement abruptly brought Seki to his senses, pulling him out of his dark thoughts and forcefully into the real world once again. Mewing slightly, the Corvistownian mix leaped up to his paws only to freeze there.
Rindal was here.
He had arrived in a small pack of deer, strolling about with his usual smug pride and arrogance. Swallowing heavily the younger feline looked around desperately for a place to hide but, in his panic, all he saw was wide open spaces.
Rindal was the only one who knew him for what he really was. The only one who knew the secret which plagued him more completely than his annorexia, though perhaps it might not have had such a fearful affect upon him if Rindal had not been the first to find out...and the pummel him for it. The older male had always been rather rough around the edges, the whole family knew it, but Seki had not realized the error of his decision to confide in the male until it was too late. Far too late.
Ophelia was both relieved and anxious to see the park come into view, but she forced the sight of the lush greens to relax her tense frame. This would be the first time seeing Astyana since, well, since she got pregnant. The doe smiled, glancing down at her small group before returning her attention to the wooded park they had just entered.
Unaware that her words would have echoed another mother's own from mere moments earlier, she called out: "go play, but stay in view!"
Mephit simply edged up closer to Severus as the rest of her siblings rushed ahead, more content to watch than to interact with such...immaturity. Snorting lowly, she turned those wickedly glistening orbs to Severus and confided lowly.
"This is going to be very interesting. Look." She motioned lightly with her muzzle, directing his attention on the small herd of young deer that were currently indulging themselves in the bliss of the park. Far more interested in seeing the strange new deer Mephit failed to notice the two Corvistownian mixies mingling with the crowd. "I overheard Ophelia and Silvanus talking, Sev... We're here to see them."
Instantly Xylia's attention was caught by Claudius and Aurelius, springing off across the park in a game of tag. Her little tail wiggled in excitement and she flashed a challenging look to Vertumnus -- she always had been a bit of a tomboy.
"Lets see if we can catch 'em, Tumnus! Maybe they'll let us join in!"
Nudging Tumnus encouragingly she lept off in pursuit of the other deer, eager to make new friends even if they were a bit younger...and strangely familiar looking.

Astyana saw Ophelia and her group approaching just west of them, and tried to smile meekly. She didn't really know much about the other female, and from what she'd gathered from her meeting with Syraelia, she could be quite... defensive. It would probably be best for her to let the other female pick the speed of any conversation that passed between them, she had hurt too many feelings already to afford more. Though, her time with Igal had seemed to be a healing time, though Irving's deformity had been a... not so minor setback, she hoped he would be able to pull himself from the funk it had put him in.
Irving nodded his head at his sibling at about the same time Ilana nudged him, he didn't want them to suffer on his account, and it was obvious they wanted to run... and jump... and chase each other. It hurt his heart to watch, so with a weary smile he laid down next to his sister and carefully hid his head against her, in case he was tempted to look the other way and see all the fun he knew he couldn't really partake in.
Inca was caught off guard by her brother's question, quietly considering her answer and feeling it out in her head. She had her reasons, things she liked and disliked about the male, but mostly, she had a feeling there was a reason to his bullying. Before she could respond however, Claudius was off and enjoying the freedom of the large park, and she simply smirked to herself before finding a spot to supervise. Her eyes caught the other children coming towards them before anyone else did, and her eyes narrowed slightly, waiting to see if anyone would try to approach her dear brothers under her watch. She didn't know these children, they could be mean.
Rindal's eyes widened in a sick sort of excitement when he saw his brother. Oh, this would be too funny! He pranced over playfully, smiling disgustingly sweetly at the smaller male before leaning in to sneer the words he knew his brother hated to hear. "My, you've put on a bit of weight since last I saw you. So have I but... well, you know." He laughed at this, throwing his head back and eyeing the wires which encircled his brother's admittedly slender frame. While Rindal was bulking up in all the right ways, Seki had been slimming down even more (if it was possible). Normally he would have attacked the child, but with too many witnesses... he chose a verbal attack instead.

Vertumnus wasn't sure if he should head towards the two stranger children at first. The only other time he had come to the park was that time when hundreds of freakish Corvistownians, Torquehelms and mixes were about...and he didn't like it. But the children ahead seemed friendly enough. One was a Kahmden and another was an Avington like him! Oh he hadn't realized that before! He only knew of one other Avington, and that was his father, though the connection didn't hit him in the slightest...there must have been another Avington family around at any rate. He quickly pranced after Xylia upon realizing this.
Severus simply wrinkled his nose in distaste, deciding to sit quitely and wait for Silvanus to get this over with close to his mother. He bowed his head lightly to Mephit once she started heading over to him. He looked over at the children as Mephit directed. Two Kahmdenians, an Avingtonian, and two mixes of those elements. There was a sudden realization that came to him, and he sighed, this was going to be horribly bothersome. He wished more then ever he was back at the palace so he could set to start trying to become King. "Figures." he said simply. It was no secret that he didn't think very highly of his father, besides...he knew that his father seemed to have a thing for women, what with his trying to impress Dymphna.
Severus spotted Rindal out of the corner of his eye, and he rolled them. Guh...really...did he have to be around? Bullies never really sat well with Severus. That Seki boy had sure grown skinny...
Ilana sighed, wishing there was something she could do for her brother. His spine hadn't grown better at all, and if anything, had only served to fustrate him his entire life, and make its quality questionible. She wondered if there would be anything to help her brother in the future. Maybe if she asked one of those Corvistownians over there....after all...some of them excelled in medicine right? Maybe one day she could find a Corvistownian to fix him. For now though...he needed companionship and care. She happily nuzzled his neck.
Claudius stopped abruptly as he saw two new children joining in on their prancing fun. Did they want to join?

Xylia was absolutely delighted by her brother's decision to join in with her. Usually he wasn't so quick to trust...but then again he usually wasn't given the opportunity to spend times with other Avingtons, either. The relation should've struck her then, but in her excitement she failed to see the appearance of more Avingtons in Capital City for what it truly was.
"Hey there! Can my brother and I come and play with you two?"
She was springing lightly in her place, so eager to make new friends that she could barely contain it. Those two boys looked so interesting, so unique! One with his backward horns and one with that strange mohawk of fur running along his back; Xylia couldn't help but be curious about them!
"I'm Xylia, by the way, and this is my brother, Vertumnus!"
Ophelia watched Xylia and Tumnus rush out to greet the other children, well aware of the cruel smirk playing upon Mephitisia's muzzle. She couldn't bare to look at the sadistic little doe and know that she was well aware of what was about to play out. Slowly she shook her head and, swallowing her pride and her quiet jealousy, Ophelia made her way across the park to the other mother. Astyana... She really had grown up quite a bit, hadn't she? It made Ophelia wonder about what had become of Igal, of Pravus...she hadn't seen either of them in such a long time.
"Astyana."
She greeted lightly, her mind flickering back to their first meeting. It hadn't been a pretty one, what with Syraelia lashing out at her and striking Ophelia's more defensive side. What a terrible first impression she must've made, even though her intention had initially been just to protect the young ones with her. Ah well, such was life. She would have to forge a new impression of herself...if that would even be possible once Silvanus arrived.
The waiting was agony.
Mephit's grin widened upon seeing her brother's recognition. As she, and even Ophelia, had suspected he was not surprised and Mephitisia had not been either. Beautiful. At least she had someone to watch the show with. "I imagine this will not go well. Especially for those two." While Mephit's voice remained a chilling degree of icy at all times she had at least gained a bit more skill in the aspect of socializing. Well, at least when it came to people she wished to speak with. "Harder for Tumnus, with how idealistic of the 'family' he is, than for Xylia; you might find this enjoyable."
Despite her words, she was concerned. A rare and unusual feeling to be arousing in the youth. Typically everything went according to plan, typically she enjoyed the suffering of others...but Xylia had been her pet project. If this cut Xylia more deeply than Mephit anticipated, then she would be in dire straights indeed.
While Mephitisia recognized Seki's presence there, she failed to pay much attention to it. For now, all that interested her was the outcome of the reunion. The overly skinny feline and his muscular older brother were there, but faded into the background of her delightful little play.
Seki wished he was invisible. Wished that he really was as skinny as some said he was so that he could just, disappear. He hated being put in Rindal's spotlight. Here he was prey to whatever abuse his larger brother could dish out and, luckily for him, that was currently limited to verbal attacks. In all their years of growing up together, he had learned what made that sadist tick and what held him back. Crowds typically saved him from physical violence; too many witnesses or, as he assumed, too many people who might come to his rescue.
"I..." Phobia had morphed into something more over the years. From a childish fear of overeating, he had discovered a disease that had come to control him more and more. In all honesty he wasn't proud of it, but it was there and every time he tried to escape it he rediscovered that pressing fear of his bindings; of gaining weight that might put pressure upon his metal rings. "Don't say that, Rindal. I haven't..." His voice wavered and, softly, his fear trickled out just like Rindal knew it would. "Have I?"
Some days, when he hadn't eaten and he could feel that reassuring emptiness in the pit of his gut, it wasn't so bad...but today Cecilia had once again attempted to get 'a little meat on his bones' and had taken him for something to eat before getting distracted by a waiter. It suddenly felt like he could feel every piece of food in his stomach, bloating him, even though the reality of the matter was that he'd only managed to stomach a small portion of the meal he'd been given and he was anything but visibly bloated.

Inca took in the two children who were playing with her brothers and was about to jump in and give them a verbal cautioning when she saw a rather unusual deer... snake... sit down next to her mother. She eyed the children with her, noting the resemblance between the secondary group. Ah, so she had brought her children out as well, except... her eyes widened as she quickly put it together, and she blinked nervously towards the two who were whispering in the corner, what did they have planned? If they laid a hand on her siblings...
Irving shifted away uncomfortably when the stranger came towards him and his mother, limping off closer to Inca, trying to drag Ilana along with him. He didn't pay any mind to the children, not the new arrivals, or the ones he could hear, running and jumping and playing. He gave a soft sigh, staring at the ground and glancing up once to see Rindal cornering a feline which looked... surprisingly like him. It was unusual for Irving to show a lot of compassion, but he felt his eyes narrowing, his voice full of hurt when he turned to his sister. "What is he doing? We should alert someone..." His chest puffed out in nervousness as he glanced up at Astyana, who was a little bit busy with her new benchmate.
Rindal grinned from ear to ear, purring gleefully as he got the response he suspected. When the male whispered his fear to the bigger feline, he put on a fake look of thoughtfulness before stepping back. "Well, you look Really bloated, so maybe you just ate a Really big meal... but that'll kick in eventually anyway, I'd be careful... two big meals like that and..." He left it off, no need to be descriptive, he knew the younger male would piece it together in his mind. He hated that he couldn't physically play with him, but this was his revenge for the little rat cowering and hiding from him all the time. So he couldn't hit with his hands, but his words were such painfully blunt objects of abuse sometimes.
Astyana scooted over a little to allow the female some space before smiling uncertainly. "H-hi Ophelia." She cleared her throat, trying to appear pleasant and not at all intimidated. She knew she couldn't win any fighting or yelling match with this female, the only one she'd ever been able to bicker with had been Igal, but he was the only one who ever really affected her enough to feel like she had to depend herself. The female didn't seem so bad in person, her voice was pleasant and her attitude not hostile at all. Perhaps this would go better than she thought.
