Feeling slightly betrayed by his full blood sibling, Xylia, he hrmfed before turning his head to look away from them. He wouldn't play stupid games at his age. He wouldn't be outright cruel to his new siblings, but that didn't mean he had to play with them or love them. Playing with them admited that he liked them enough to spend quality time with them. He was just being the unofficial, and not to happy about it, baby sitter while the children clung to him. He would have to get over the familial situation before he could truely let them into his heart.
Claudius on the other hand, had been disappointed by his brother's words, but became excited when it seemed like Xylia would be playing with them anyway. He bounded after her, slightly clumsy on his stilty legs as he charged. Ilana turned her head to watch Claudius bolt after Xylia with a smile. She felt slightly awkward around Vertumnus, but knew that it was probably best just to pretend like he wasn't there to begin with, even if that was rude to some degree. Vertumnus had something against them, she was sure, though she couldn't really put her hoof on it. She turned to Aurelius, and watched his interaction with Seki, much like a worried mother.
Aurelius frowned at the little feline's words. He looked, and realized that what the feline said was true, he certainly couldn't with those bindings. "You can't take those off?" he asked, trying not to be offencive, but potentially failing horribly. "I don't think he can Aurelius..." Ilana piped up anxiously, giving a smile to feline. "Well...we could always play another game! I was starting to get dizzy anyhow. Are their any games you particularly like to play?" he asked the feline, his tail wagging excitedly.

Xylia, in her ever loving way, looked between Vertumnus and her new siblings for a moment as if unsure of who to 'side with' before deciding with a quiet nod that kindness would be the best decision. After all, if she said no now then the little ones would be hurt and it would cause far more trouble that Tumnus having a little bruised ego. Ah well. Shaking her head lightly to her brother's words, she bounced away with Claudius. Without hesitation she toppled into the grass upon reaching the peek of the small hill and, with a sweet giggle, the adolescent tucked in her long limbs and set off down the hill.
She was growing up, yes, but unlike so few teenagers -her brother obviously included- Xylia was not hesitant to indulge in the remainder of her youth.
With the spotlight on himself and his bindings, the skinny adolescent squirmed ever so slightly and lifted a paw to absently itch his neck. He typically wasn't this nervous, but something about having others eying the bindings that so embarrassed him did it's job in making him squirm. A weak smile graced his maw, sweet and little, but he managed to find his voice after a moment.
"No, I can't take them off." Not for a lack of trying though. The only thing that likely kept them on anymore was the ring around his neck...his waist had long ago shrunk enough for the ring there to hang a bit loosely upon him. Upon being questioned, the boy's eyes brightened once more. He wasn't much of one to run around outside and roll down hills, but that didn't mean he didn't like to play. "I usually play with Mocha." He realized how sad that comment sounded the moment he'd finished speaking it. "But we could play tag, or...well, anything really, so long as it doesn't involve rolling."
He giggled sweetly, forcing himself to ease up as they spoke. No use in being a spoil sport, right?

Vertumnus didn't pay attention to Xylia at all, content in his 'misery' of sorts. And saught to look around the park. The space was vast, and the grass as green as his coat, flowers could be seen here and there, and he simply sighed. He realized he was taking the family situation way to hard, and that he should probably get over it, but there was a part of him that couldn't help but feel betrayed, and slightly foolish for not having seen the signs of their parents not being together. Granted, it was a common practice among the populous, but he had always pictured their family unit being so tight.
Claudius laughed as he rolled down the hill, careful to keep his antlers tucked in so that they didn't catch on the ground and break his neck. When he had reached the bottom of the hill, he raced back up to the top, racing Xylia a bit to see who would be the first to roll. He panted from the effort it took, after all he had been rolling down the hill for some time now.
Aurelius wiggled his tail with delight. "I love tag!"[/color], he looked over at Ilana to see if she would join them, and she noded. "That would be fun...lets do that!" she said with a sweet smile. "NOT IT!" he screamed with delight and began running away. Ilana simply shook her head with a giggle, she was a bit more diplomatic when it came to the beginning of a tag game. "Would you like to be it, or should I be?" her smile was white and her eyes fluttered a bit sweetly. Sometimes when she smiled she just looked so damn attractive. But unlike Cecilia, she didn't try to be flirtacious, sometimes it just happened.

As soon as Xylia reached the bottom of the hill, the little doe sprung to her hooves and let out a delighted laugh before she launched herself after the younger male. "Hahaha! No you don't, I'm gonna win!" With each sprinting step Xylia flowed after her younger half-sibling, allowing the awkward truth of their relationship to fade to the back of her mind as she raced about. It was fun, getting to actually play around, even if he was a good deal younger than she.
Ah well, fun was fun, and Tumnus would have to learn the truth of it eventually. Growing up didn't mean losing your ability to play, especially in a situation like this. For a peace keeper like Xylia, she could not sit back and refuse a friendship when they so obviously seemed interested in forging one with her. It simply wasn't in her.
Seki debated Ilana's question for a brief moment before, with a mischievous gleam in his eye, the boy spun and popped Mocha, not Ilana, lightly upon the nose. It was, despite the playful aura of his actions, a protective action rather than a teasing on. Mocha was a bit overprotective at times, if she saw someone chasing him without first knowing they were playing than there was a chance someone who didn't deserve it would get bitten.
"Mocha's it!" He bounced lightly away, his springing steps displaying just why his sister often called him "Cricket". "Tag, Mocha!" Giggling as he spoke, he flicked his gaze to Ilana. "Watch out, Ilana! She's faster than she looks!"
Mocha shifted from paw to paw as Seki bounced off, watching the three children bounding off. Sneezing patiently in a way that was obvious to say she was giving them all a head start. For a Bander her temperament really was surprisingly docile; Seki's own personal teddy bear. At least, until someone hurt Seki...but that was another story entirely.

Tumnus continued to sulk as the sounds of happy gigglng and screaming children entered into his satellite ears, sighing slightly and with a look of annoyance upon his features. He began on a certain level to understand why Severus left for the palace, though that thought certainly didn't beginning to warm his heart to his brother. He just...was beginning to understand. There was a part of him that couldn't wait until he was older, then he could scram and never look back, he wouldn't have to deal with all the family issues anymore. He found a flower nearby, and absently began chewing on it, sweet and bitter tastes gushing into his mouth in a discusting mix, though he didn't really seem to care...
I'm sure that's not very good to eat..., said his invisible companion. The rabbit had been with him for some time now, at first he had been afraid, like most everyone was when it came to rabbits, but soon he learned that he would never be rid of him, and it began to seem like the rabbit was part of his subconscious more then anything. He forgot at times that he was a ghost. "I know...It isn't...but there isn't anything else to do." he said. Anyone listening might think Vertumnus mad...talking to himself as he was. After all they wouldn't be able to see or hear the ghost.
Claudius didn't even say a word, he simply grinned at his sister. This was a challange! With a leap, he began to gain speed. Truth was that his strides were no match to hers, but he was young and sporty, and despite that disadvantage he had the energy and speed of his age on his side.
Aurelius gladly scampered ahead of the group, smug in his distance from them. He certainly wouldn't be becoming it in the first round! Ilana simply giggled a bit, until she was left alone with the bander as Seki ran after Aurelius for cover. She looked a little uneasy, and gave a small laugh of discomfort. She knew the bander wasn't exactly vicious, but she couldn't help but feel a bit afraid of it. After a few moments of being stunned in place, she pranced off after Seki and Aurelius, determined to put one of them behind her and to keep it away. She felt bad sacrificing the children to the bander...but on the other hand...boys could take a lot more punishment then girls...right?

The moment Ilana was off, Mocha gave a little bounce and at once the game was on. She rushed headlong toward the trio of hurried bodies. Her big eyes bounced from youth to youth, debating who to pounce. The little girl seemed nervous and Seki was quite adept at sprinting his way out of her reach -even though he'd tire soon due to his lack of nutrition- and that left Aurelius a sitting duck in her bright eyes.
Abruptly she put on a burst of speed, barreling after Aurelius and gently headbutting the little fawn.
Thanks to playing with Seki quite a bit, she knew better than to put her full weight into the headbutt and instead bumped the male just enough to make her presence known and, at worst, throw him off balance. Then, with a sneeze as if to say "You're it!" she was abruptly bounding off after the others.
Seki glanced over his shoulder just in time to see Mocha tag Aurelius and he let out a happy roll of laughter before changing his course to flow after Mocha and veer away from Aurelius. "Bet you can't catch me, Aurelius!" He cried happily, delighting in the pleasure of getting to actually go about and play with other children instead of being teased by them as he usually was.
Meanwhile, Xylia had just crested the hill and stood at the top with a brilliant grin. Her tail was wagging, ears perked forward as she gave a skipping hop. Claudius had been right on her heels, mere inches from beating her up the slope.
"Wow Claudius! You're fast!"
She paused suddenly, just then, noticing that Tumnus was not only slumped about pouting and eating flowers...but he was talking to himself as well. The little doe's ears slumped back a bit and she frowned. What could he be up to? Slowly she lifted her head and perked her ears up once more as she called out.
"Tumnus?"
