He took the cup of coffee into his hands appreciatively. Nothing like the smell of coffee to sooth the soul.
Turning he looked at the small feline. “Yes of course, the same offer would go for you as well.” He had meant to include the feline in on the discussion as well, not just offering it to Varuna.
It was the agreement that he had made with almost all the other craftsmen who would be offering things up for display in his shop – the ones who were automatically a bigger demand, those who’s name were already well known in the Capital, of course usually settled for a slightly different agreement. Though as the more a person became in demand he was willing to work out a different agreement if they so wished.
“I more then understand and you are welcome to come by anytime to view the place. My offer stands, so you do not have to make any choices at the current moment, if you do not so wish it. And of course, if your goods become a larger demand then I am more then willing to work out a different agreement that will work for both of us.”

How... surprisingly flexible a businessman her new companion was. She hadn't really expected him to be so understanding about the rates of rare craftsmanship. Either he'd done his homework... or... "I'm shocked I haven't asked this before, but, do you by any chance do any metalworking or woodcrafting or any other sort of craftsmanship that you'll be selling in the shop yourself? I hate to be nosy..." Well, no, she didn't really. It was just Varuna, and not much was going to change that, especially not with her world changing in an instant like it seemed it was now. She was more paranoid than ever. "I was just curious, is all. You seem very knowledgeable, which is uncommon for someone not thoroughly involved in the craft themselves." Which was true, she'd fooled a few people when starting out because of such a lack of knowledge. Of course, desperate times had caused for desperate measures, she didn't take part in such... dishonorable practices, now.
She moved the warm cup back and forth between her hands. Yes... she'd be making a lot of trips out to the city to view the shop and the surrounding before even an article of her belongings moved from the house. "How long before the shop opens and you expect to start gathering the different works and their makers?" It would be nice to have a timeframe, though she imagined her daily walks would start becomming daily adventures, a mile or so further until she finally touched the town, and eventually she'd gather the courage to go inside. It would be easier to map out a route and get a little experience under her belt. "Unless you're busy, upon your return to the city, I would appreciate very much if you'd show me to the shop's location. Just once, to get my bearings." She coughed awkwardly to the side, trying to avoid any direct eye contact. She hated appearing so... weak and feminine, but this fear of change and movement out of the marsh was really her only weakness. The one thing she couldn't face or overcome in many years.
Rindal surveyed the conversation cooly, now that he'd been promised his money... and a chance at more... he was perfectly content to stay out of it. He didn't need a guide or anyone to hold his hand, he'd find his way on his own. He had a slight suspicion about Varuna's discomfort with travelling, but he was starting to wonder if there was something at the base of it all. Perhaps her snarky, dominant behaviour was a cover up for a prominent inner weakness which only came out at times like this.
It would be good to keep tabs on, not that he would exploit it or purposefully cause her distress... unless she became more well known in the city than he, and at that point? Well, one has to be competitive to be the best... he was willing to be very, Very competitive. "I'll probably stop by sometime soon as well." He admitted casually, though he intended to scope out the best positions to place his works in so that they would get the best attention from all the right angles. All business and no play really didn't make Rindal a dull boy at all.

He was not surprised by her questions, though he did admit that it had taken a while for her to ask. Some of his Patrons had worried about how qualified of an artisan and others had just been glad to receive an offer.
“I was an apprentice and trained under a Master soon after I finished my schooling. After becoming qualified I headed out to the Capital. My Master trained me in the works of jewel crafting and metal crafting. At the current moment I do not have anything of my own to sell in the shop, though once things settle down I might see about changing that.”
It had been a while since he had really done any works of his craft, he had mostly been spending his time setting up the shop and pursuing his goals.
“We are hoping to have it opened in a few months time. I would be more then glad to show you to where the shop is located. I can even leave the directions here in case either of you would like to come by yourself. If you would like to meet up before you come, just send me a message.”

Well, to be honest, she was a little shocked that he didn't sound more... indignant. Feathers were often ruffled between artisans of their calibur when it came down to the question of experience and background regarding their craft. Luckily, it seemed his pride was much easier to tame than say, oh, Rindal's. The boy was talented to be sure, but he had an attitude about him she'd been working down slowly over time. The arrival of other males always set him off though, customers and visitors alike though there weren't many of the latter. Varuna had never had time for any of... that sort of thing. And, generally, she intimidated men. Even when she Wasn't cussing them out.
Strange things men were. She perked an ear at his offer to escort her and tried not to seem too interested. She had to seem at least a Little independant after all this, now didn't she? Wouldn't want to get herself a reputation that could endanger her home in the marsh. People tended to get... ideas... if they heard things about ones character that were less than bad-ass. How Rindal had gotten so far... well, she remembered the scrapes and dislocated ribs that feline had come to her door with. Which was an interesting story in and of itself. She could remember the first thing they ever said to each other... 'So you're a GIRL?' 'Last I checked, what's it to you?'. Her reminiscing took her away from the moment though, and she cleared her throat stubbornly.
"I'll do that. If I need an escort. Big city after all, even though I've a good sense of direction, that whole place smells like... everything." She said, the distaste coming through as snootyness rather than fear, which was something she'd learned to channel through the years. Surprisingly, as there was very, Very little that the mischevious female was likely to become afraid of. "I'm glad you're so... eager to have me. Along." She coughed her discomfort at the last, shifting her eyes to catch the instant slitting of the feline's eyes at her words.
Well she had this habit of not thinking over or caring about what came out of her mouth and how, after all, it wasn't her fault if others chose to misinterpret her words, and it made for some interesting conversation, or lack thereof. She smirked to herself and a low thumping of her tail gave away her enjoyment at whatever was going on in her head. Which, again, could be taken in an awkward manner, but Rindal was used to it, the not-so-stranger however, was probably not.
[Sorry about the wait, love! Please don't eats me D:]

He gave a nod of his head at he words before taking a sip of the coffee before him. Glancing out of the window he saw that it was getting pretty late.
“Well if you do not have any more questions for the moment . . . It was a pleasure to meet you both, but I am afraid I will have to head back to the Capital soon. I still need to attempt to find the person I was sent to seek as well as get back to my apartment before complete sundown.” He was more then willing to answer any more questions either of the two of them might have but he really should get going soon.
“You have my address,” he pointed towards the paper he had given her. “Feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.” He finished off the rest of his coffee before continuing.
“Would one of you two be so kind as to see me to the main road? I am afraid I would never be able to find it or would stumble into the wrong crowd.” He said with good humor.
((I won't eat you ^ ^; . . . Maybe just gnaw > >;, <3))

She glanced out through the small window, the only one in the house, it was just good practice to... not have a lot of windows around if you had pretty things inside. Which she did, many pretty things. "Ah it is getting dark out, it was a pleasure to stumble upon you as well, Aderlass. You sure you don't need any help finding that... person? I'm nocturnal, really, I had only just woken up pretty much when you came along." She grinned and took another sip of the coffee in her hands. She really only like the heat, coffee tended to always have a stale aftertaste to her.
She nodded twice as he mentioned his address... if she could ever even Find that. And how embarassing it would be to get lost. Hm. She'd probably wait until he decided to do the whole guided tour thing. At his next comment, she chuckled in return, a sly smile gracing her features, as it was opt to do. "Well, you're right on both accounts, heh. Let me, I've lived here all my life after all." She sent a stern glance towards Rindal who merely placed his hands, palm up, in a 'what?!' gesture.
The feline did, however, follow them to the door and lean on it as Varuna escorted the male outside. Not that he was keeping an eye on them or anything, he was just... keeping an eye on them. He couldn't even really explain it, He certainly had no romantic interested in the craftswoman, but she'd taken him in, so she was kind of like... a second mother to him.
With a flick of her tail, Varuna headed out towards the road. Or at least, Aderlass would have to trust that that's where they were going, as it was pitch black outside in this area, and the dim lights illuminating the main murky roads seemed so far away. In reality, they were just very dim and on some nights the marsh had a natural haze of mist about it which could be very disorienting. "This way. I'll lead you to the road we took in here, straight in, straight out, best to familiarize yourself with that one before heading anywhere else." She continued to scurry along at a decent pace, the marsh didn't really intimidate her much anymore. It had when her parents left and she'd decided to try and stay on her own, but now it was almost... friendly.

He gave a parting nod to the feline as Varuna headed out into the night. It was a pleasure to meet you. I hope to see more of your wonderful work in the future.” With that he followed after the opossum.
The place really was different after the sun had started to set. The darkness hinted towards a cruelty about the place that, had been there before but, was more obvious. He kept close to the female, not afraid but not wanting to run into any incidents either. “I will keep that in mind.” he replied to her comment about memorizing the main route and not wandering around.
As they reached the main road out of the Marsh he turned towards the female. “It really was a pleasure to meet you and your apprentice. Please do not hesitate if you ever wish to be shown around the shop or the like.” He informed her not assuming in the least that she might be afraid to venture into the Capital herself. “And with that I should be going.” Giving her a small bow of his head he started off on his journey home.

She couldn't help but smile at his genuine politeness, there were layers to this male that she'd probably not even begun to explore. His sarcasm was most exceptionally amusing, and he could banter with the best of them, that being herself of course, she'd not met many people with as dry a sense of humour as she had. She almost wished they had of had more time to just converse as they had upon their initial meeting. Oh well, they were in a business together now, weren't they? Oh gods. She'd actually done it. She was actually moving out into the city, out of her home, into that... big... place.
She swallowed audibly and blinked at her companion a few times before speaking, a crookedly uncertain smile taking the place of the confident one which had been present only moments before. "I believe the former more than the latter..." She said dryly, stifling a chuckle as she shook her head. "Though I wouldn't blame you, Rindal has some... masculine issues I think. But he's still a boy, I'm sure I was like him in that age, in fact, I remember being equally territorial." She sighed with a slight grin, thinking about the past was always a mixed up rollercoaster of fun.
"Be safe, Aderlass. And ah... actually... if you ever were in the neighborhood again, I think I'd like to take you up on a guided tour of the city and the shop and all that." She tried to sound as casual as possible, though her tail twitched in hopes that it wouldn't be too out of the way to consider. As he began to depart, she waited in place until the darkness consumed him (which, wasn't that long) and headed back to the house, where Rindal sat outside, whittling away at something with claws and tools. She picked up a hunk of wood and decided to join in, better to get some practice in with this stuff.
[Sound like a good place to say finished? :3]
