Without warning or preamble, a delicate fist would collide with Ezekiel's door in a thundering series of knocks that could be described as nothing short of panicked. It was noon and Cecilia wasn't sure if her friend would be home but she needed to see him, needed to see someone. Purple eyes that were usually full of seductive allure were now nothing more than a pool of tears and terror. "Please answer, oh please please be home..."A demon could have been on her tail, trying to drag her down into the netherworld and she wouldn't have fallen into this sort of panic. It was something else, something worse. She was late. Not just late... Oh lord she was PREGNANT. She had woken to a horrible wave of nausea that could be mistaken for nothing but what it was: morning sickness. She was going to die, this couldn't be happening! She needed someone to talk to, she needed Ez. There was no way she could live through this. She didn't want to be a mother, didn't even know how to begin being a mother.

Ez was not in a happy mood. He had found out something horrible. He was probably going to kill someone when 9 months were over and done with. Or something. He really didn't know anymore. The alarming knocking snapped him back to attention. His eyes widened as he hurried to the door, checking the peep hole before anything else. His eyes widened with surprise as he quickly unbolted the locks. What the hell was going on? "Cecilia, what's wrong? What's going on? Why do you look so scared?" The sparrow wasn't wearing his corset like he usually did. Instead he was in a rather shaggy looking robe. He obviously wasn't going to go to work today, and all those people could deal with not having someone to plan all their shit. Especially now that Cecilia was now standing in front of him in a panic. He moved to let her in so she could explain.

Cecilia hurried in once the door was opened for her, the doe's eyes full to the brim with tears. This couldn't be happening, it just couldn't be! She collapsed in a mess of fur and diamonds upon his sofa and sobbed out her anxiety for a moment. Ez was talking to her and she needed to respond, she couldn't just cry.
"I'm pregnant!" She wailed out in terror, clenching the couch so tightly that she feared her nails might break the surface. "What am I going to do?! I can't...be pregnant! I just can't!"
Cecilia had been so careful, so very careful! How could this have happened? Who could have done this to her? The doe let out a pathetic sound, very much a mixture of a whine and a whimper and slumped down upon the arm of the sofa.
"I can't be a mother, Ez... I don't know the first thing about being a mother."

The sparrow shut the door quietly, not bothering to lock it. He walked over to the sofa and sat besides Cecilia. She was miserable. With a sigh he hugged her despite all her crying and whining.
"Neither do I. And I'm going to be one too," Ez said, quite miserably. He was in no way thrilled at the prospect of having children. Responsibility wasn't his middle name, and he didn't want to raise a family. He was, after all, barely able to take care of himself and his bander properly.
He couldn't see Azzy very happy about being put after children on his list of things to remember. Dad would be furious. Zane would be shocked. He was pretty sure Ceren would laugh at him. This was just a fantastic thing. That and he didn't know the farther.
"I'm sorry Ceci. I'm really really sorry."

Cecilia welcomed the sparrow's touch and leaned eagerly into the contact, her head resting against his chest as she slowly managed to curb her hysterics to a more manageable level. Had he...just said he was pregnant too? Her ears fell back against her skull, suddenly worrying that she might have upset her friend.
"Y-You are? Oh Ez..."
This was typically the time when most pregnant woman giggled and gasped and babbled about raising children together, Cecilia looked a shade closer to having just heard news that someone dear to her had just been struck dead. Though maybe raising her kids with Ez wouldn't be all that bad... Ez almost always made things better, it was why she'd come here in the first place after all.
"I'm sorry too... H-Here I am sobbing like a fool, and you-you're going through the same thing... I'm so sorry." The doe snuggled in close to Ez, wrapping her arms around him in turn. There were very few people who Cecilia put before herself and Ez was the very top of the list. Beyond her parents, and she wasn't even all that close with them, Ez was one of the very few people who ever seemed to give her the same courtesy. "What are you going to do about it, b-being a parent and all that t-terrible stuff?"

He squeezed her a bit before pulling away from her, to brush away any stray tears. "Don't say sorry, silly Ceci. It's not like you could guess something like that." The sparrow gave he a reassuring smile. This was one hell of a situation to be in.
It was terrible. Very terrible. However, it was just another thing to get through. "I really don't know. I'm probably going to have to beg my Dad for forgiveness for getting pregnant by some unknown individual. It'll be a hoot I'm sure." Ez rolled his eyes. Dad was going to have his head for this.
"But... no matter what, I'm here for you, okay? And if you need any other help I'm sure the rest of my family wouldn't find it a problem to help you out. Just don't lose hope, okay? I don't want to lose you to anything stupid." He hugged her again. Wow. He sounded really choppy today.

Cecilia was slowly but surely calming down. Ez always had that effect on her. No matter what, he could always make things better.
She closed her eyes as he wiped away her tears, sighing softly as she nuzzled into his touch. When his hand fell back Cecilia opened her eyes again, trembling as she met his gaze and attempted to return his smile. They were both royally screwed weren't they? Pregnant by strangers and wanting nothing to do with their offspring. Ez was, perhaps, a bit better off than Cecilia at least. He seemed willing to cope with his pregnancy.
But Cecilia was beginning to seem so too. If Ez could handle it, she could too...and maybe they could actually raise their children together? "T-Thank you, Ez. You're always just what I need." She laughed softly but the sound trembled precariously on the verge of tears. "You won't ever lose me, you're the best friend I've got and always have been!"
Yes...Maybe it really wouldn't be so bad.
"Perhaps I ought to tell Mom... I just don't want him to be disappointed." Or more disappointed, she hadn't really bothered to ever find out.

"Telling your parents might be a good idea," Ez nodded. "I'm probably going to tell my mom first. Dad... dad won't take this well at all I'm sure. I just... it's weird. This doesn't feel right at all."
But this wasn't about him was it now. He shifted his attention back to the deer. "How about I get something to drink, and see if I can get Azzy to comfort you? She's being a bit of a bitch lately, but she's always happy to see you." The sparrow laughed. It was all he could really manage. He just didn't want to see Cecilia cry again. That would tear him apart rather nicely.
"Or I could just stay here with you if you want. I'm fine with that. Nothing is more important now than feeling better, okay?" He smiled at her.

Cecilia snorted slightly, frowning heavily in a mixture of a pout and pure dislike. Her father...no, her father wouldn't understand either. "Dad will just call me a whore, like always..." It didn't matter that she was a whore. It wasn't like she was out trying to get pregnant! "...but mom,... I'll tell Mom."
When his attention fell back upon her, Cecilia was torn between drinking in the doting and giving him some as well. A blush touched her soft cheeks and her eyes softened a little. Why did Ez care so much about her? Who would honestly want to be her friend...? She appreciated it though, more than words could've expressed.
"Azzy and something to drink would be nice..." She forced herself to smile for Ez and while it was strained at first, it became warmer with every word she spoke. "Perhaps something warm? Or...sweet?" Or alcoholic...but she wasn't allowed to have that, not unless she wanted to possibly kill-- She swiftly cut off her thoughts, forcing her attention back to what she was saying and the concerned sparrow beside her. "Do you have any cinnamon sticks? Then I could have both."

Ez gave a smile before making a sharp whistle. A bander came skittering out of the bedroom and instantly made for the doe's lap. That settled that issue now for the food. Well, that would be a little more difficult. "Cinnamon sticks? Yes, I think I have some. Also I probably have some sweet and fruity drink in the fridge besides cider. This no caffeine thing is going to kill me." Actually the laying eggs bit was going to cause him the most pain, but you know, didn't need to say that out loud. "Tea would solve all problems if all of mine wasn't loaded with caffeine."He hummed as he walked over to the kitchen and listened to Azzy make happy sounds. He had a feeling children weren't as entertaining or as fun as banders. The prospect of having children this young was just a bad idea. It's not like he could undo what was already done though.
