((OOC: ... Look at me run out of titles. Thank Joseph Campbell for sucking my creativity.))Xiven guided Fluffy along cheerfully as she walked down the street. She was a bit more careful about tripping and falling on her face, but she still continued to do it. She nudged the door open and lead Fluffy into the shop. It was still dusty, and smelled rather strange. She shrugged it off. He had done such a wonderful job with Fluffy that she couldn't help but come back. And maybe would have something else she was looking for for her Fluffy. Not many people had something nice enough for her pet. Then again, Xiven was picky, especially when it came to her Fluffy. Bright blue tail and all. "Sit Fluffy," she said with her usual happy grin. They would solve the collar problem later, she was planning to get her ears pierced first. She had always thought hoop earrings were pretty she just never really acted on it. And now that she found out Mom didn't care a wit, everything would be fine.

Mr. Todd moved slowly through his private room, humming under his breath in a complete daze. He could see Lucy...right there, dancing lightly in his peripheral vision...never quite close enough to touch but still...there... The jingling of bells from his shop door snapped him out of it abruptly and he stopped moving with a small cry of surprise as the vision faded. "Lucy!" He whimpered quietly as everything faded, becoming dull and grey like the world around him. He moved out into the shop, his eyes looked sunken and hollow and his tie was askew, his footsteps were slow and purposeful. "What d'you want I- oh."He looked down at the small Queen and her companion...he remembered these two...they were alright... "Ah, your Majesty...god to see you and Fluffy again, 'ow can I be of service today?" He asked, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he watched the girl's expressions...his Johanna was probably sweet and innocent like this girl...yes...

Xiven ears twitched uneasily when he first walked out. For a moment she thought he was going to kick them out. It was good that his mood changed, Xiven wasn't entirely sure what she would have done otherwise.
"Hello Mr. Todd, I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I came here to get my ears pierced and was wondering if you had something for Fluffy." She grinned up at him. As nice as he was she wanted to get things done quickly. There really was no point in lingering. "I doubt you would have an item like this but, I was looking for a collar for Fluffy and I couldn't find a nice enough one in any of the shops I've been in."
And she didn't want the collar to do any weird or scary things. She figured, even if the Outer Bazaar Mr. Todd wouldn't want to lose a returning customer.

"No, no. Everyfing's fine, your Majesty, no worries. Ears pierced? I can do that wifout any problem, that'll be 10p. 'Ere, pick some rings you like outta this box an' I'll get 'em ready to put in. We can fin' somefing for Fluffy after we get your ears done."
He said, keeping his voice lower so as to let the girls know that he wasn't in a poor mood any longer.
Once he had received the money, he turned and rustled around in his table drawer for the spring-loaded device that he used to pierce ears and...other things... He set the earrings she had chosen into the one half over the needle and then set the small thin needle into the machine.
"This'll only hurt for a moment, your majesty, just grip onto the sides of the chair and you'll be fine, awrigh'?"

That was terribly cheap for getting her ears pierced. Xiven handed over the money without protest. The collar was probably going to be more expensive so really, shelling out a little for her ears wasn't a big deal.
She grinned, her tail swished as she walked over to the chair. She hopped up and picked out a set of small golden hoop earrings. Xiven sat as still as she could. Honestly when it came to pain she was a terrible wuss. At least she could ignore pain for thirty seconds, that might be good enough?
Her claws dug into the chair when he did actually use that lovely contraption to pierce her ears. But she remained still even after he finished. Xiven did her best to keep the tears from welling in her eyes. She wasn't going to be a wuss in front of anyone but Fluffy.
"Thank you very much," She said, clearing her throat afterwards. She really needed to learn how to deal with pain. Had to ask Mom about that.

"Not a problem, my dear..." He murmured, knowing that she was trying her best not to show any pain...admirable...he hoped this wouldn't upset Fluffy.
"If it's any consolation, they look very nice on you. The gold goes well with your purple. Now, what can we do for Fluffy, eh?"
He murmured, moving back over to his table and kneeling down to reach beneath it. He pulled forth a large box and pried it open, inside were other variously shaped boxes. Digging through them for a second, he pulled out a black wooden box and brought it over to the tiny Queen. He kneeled down in fron of her and her Ace, finally noticing the bright blue tail. His eyes widened slightly but he declined to comment. Opening the box instead to reveal a number of collars.
"See anyfing you like?"

"Thank you," She said choking back a bit of a purr. She enjoyed being complimented. She was terribly vain when it came down to it. Xiven jumped down from the chair, hopping a bit because of her bindings. Why did she still wear them if they caused her so much trouble?
She shook her head as she walked back over to Fluffy. With Mr. Todd brought out the various array of collars. Wow, he had quite a few of them. Which one would look the best on Fluffy. If only she didn't have a bright blue tail... that was still a sore spot for Xiven. She was rather happy that Mr. Todd didn't mention anything.
She reached out a paw to point at a purple collar studded with gold. If Fluffy didn't have the bright blue tail it would have matched perfectly wouldn't it? "That one looks perfect."
Maybe she would give him a bit of a tip for that compliment and being so terribly nice.

"You're very welcome, your Majesty..." Mr. Todd murmured, as she hopped down, watching her walk back over to her Ace and sit by her.
When she chose the purple collar studded with gold, he smiled, pulled it out and held it up.
"It does look good, your Majesty...very nice choice. It's only 20p an' it'll look wonderful on her."
Once he had received the money, he would gently place the collar on the Ace, scratching her under the chin a little and chuckling. She was a good Ace, if only others took care of theirs like this little Queen cared for her Fluffy.
"Fank you again for your patronage, your Majesty. It's a pleasure to see you again."

Fluffy watched all of it go on in silence, smiling when she saw Mr. Todd settle into the routine. He'd looked a little 'off' when he first came out but now everything was going just as smoothly as last time and there was nothing to worry about. Xiven had told her she was going to do something to her ears, put something pretty in them, and that they would keep looking for a suitable collar for her. They'd been searching a few months now but her owner hadn't yet been happy with any of the choices.
She made a small, worried little mewling noise in the back of her throat when she saw Xiven's face after getting her ears pierced. That had hurt, hadn't it? Then why did she want it done? Well, besides the fact that the hoops were rather pretty. That was good enough, she supposed.
The collar! The right collar! Xiven had finally found it. She purred as it was placed around her neck, then purred even louder when the barber scratched beneath her chin. He was a nice man, yes, and she didn't mind coming into this shoppe at all, even if it did look dirty. It had good memories for her, getting the pretty long fur and the good smell.
((Actually dishing out 75p, though 20 of those are going to Mr. Todd and the rest... well, the collar's a bit abnormal. Heh.))

"Oh really? Well then would you mind if I gave you a 10p tip? You've been so terribly nice." She pulled the money out of her wallet and handed him the tip and all. She really was rather happy about getting such nice things out of this visit she was more than happy to spend a bit more money. "It was a pleasure to see you too, Mr. Todd. I hope to come back in the future sometime." With a smile she took Fluffy's leash and attached it to her brand new and proper collar. Before taking the leash in her mouth she directed Fluffy to give a proper thank you. Then she took the leash and lead the fluffy cat with a the bright blue tail out of the shop. Xiven trotted down the street, new earrings and all happily. This was a terribly productive day wasn't it? (( OOC: I'll subtract ten points from my records because Xiven says so. And look at that Jenn is faster than me. ))
