The Wolf clenched his theeth but refrained from doing anything.
That damn woman! He would be talking her later about this... Of course...that would mean he wouldn't get dinner...maybe he would just plaintively mutter about it. She'd stop handing them out then...perhas a glare would suffice?
A few moments later, he remembered his customer. Glancing at her, he gestured to the chair.
"Siddown, then tell me what one color you'd prefer and I'll get started."
He turned back to the table and pulled two small jars and the brown bow toward him, then whipped around again.
"But first...you'll pay, please..."

Souris, considering, decided to play for time. She answered his last question first, “Fur all the way up my tail, to merge with my coat?” appearing to consider quite seriously which color would be the most suitable, before settling on, “Lilac & Yellow, with a white underside, I think.” trying avoid the part where she had to pay up. Judging from Mme. Lovett and his by-play, she’d be wise not to use the gray ticket at all.
Yet, M. Todd didn’t appear to be the sort who’d allow her to return the ticket straight up, no strings attached, without becoming more suspicious, and the ticket, decidedly, would come in useful. She could hold onto the stub, of course, but she didn’t think M. Todd would allow her that either. Perhaps redeeming part discount then, rather than all 20p, but could she afford that? 35p was plenty, and she suspected that her recent requests would only up the price further. M. Todd was too canny to let the opportunity to charge her more points slip past. She didn’t have much choice.
She’d have to redeem the gray stub, for the maximum possible value.

Mr. Todd's eye twitched slightly.
"I said one color, miss. Overwise it'll be costing you an awful lot more..."
He reached for the ticket, palm up. waiting for the other 15p he would be owed along with the ticket. He wouldn't start without the money in his hand. Then he would make sure what one color she wanted...or that he got more money.
Then he would continue.
"Wiff that ticket you've got there, you owe me 15p for the growth, it'll be on the tip of the tail an' a little on the underside an' one color. Overwise the price goes up. Got that, missy?"

Souris reluctantly handed over the gray ticket to M. Todd, but braced herself against further payment, to ask,"How much more?"
She'd dearly love fur all the way up her tail, to merge with her coat, in Lilac & Yellow, with a white underside, and she had some points tucked away, for another, different purpose, that she'd be willing to spend, if the extra points would get her want she wanted.
She'd just look plain weird, with fur growing on the tip of her tail, and the underside, anyway. She didn't want to antagonize M. Todd, but neither did she want to wander around, with a patchy tail, in one color, when, for a dozen points more, she might be able to get her tail furry, pretty, and matching her coat, and was about to say so, when she realized that she was about to open her mouth, and insert her paw.
Instead, she waited to see how much more her choice would cost.

The wolf snorted in annoyance, his lip curling slightly...this girl was starting to be more trouble than she was worth...but...the money...they needed the money.
Damn.
"Thirty, give me thirty wif that ticket an' I'll give you the fur up the tail an one ovver color. Good enough for you, missy?"
His fingers curled around his razor, claws tapping lighty against the silver, face expressionless.
He needed some gin.

(Just in case, OOC: No scars on limb, ears & tail, those'd be wasted; none to break the skin where suit & rank are displayed, but everywhere else would be fair game. <3)
That wasn't quite the same as what she'd requested, and the cost was steeper than she'd envisioned. But she had no doubt that the extra points spent would be worth the results. "30p, Lilac & Yellow, and fur up the tail to merge with the coat", she agreed, being careful to specify before handing him the money.
She put the points carefully in his still open palm, reluctantly, then sat down, gingerly, to face M. Todd, apprehensively eyeing the old wooden table out of the corner of her eye. Bottles, jars, small pots and decorative wooden box. Any and all could contain the stylistic adjustment she'd requested, or, if Cauter had been correct, poison.
She'd staked her life on M. Todd's professionalism, and her points. Now the roulette would turn, and she would find out; Would she win, or lose?
Would she gain a fine, new tail, lilac & yellow furred? Or would she disappear?

((OOC: I don't think he'll actually hurt her, no worries X3))
"Awright, fanks for that..."
The wolf muttered, snatching the ticket from her along with the money. He quickly pocketed the change and tore the ticket into bits as he walked to the table containing his ingredients.
Grabbing a tiny blue pot, and two labeled pots of dye, and a wooden palate, he moved back over to the chair and pulled out the footrest.
Leaning the chair back he grabbed the blue pot and gathered some pale blue paste on his fingertips. Reaching forward again without even waiting for the Mouse to situate herself, he grabbed her tail and began massaging the ointment in.
He was through catering to this woman, he just wanted her done and out of his shoppe.
"Hand me the pot of yellow, will you?"
He grunted at her, watching with satisfaction as white fur began to sprout from the tail.

(I know. I panicked. <3 I love him to pieces, but I have fear, too. ^^)
Startled, Souris watched as M. Todd grabbed a few pots, a wooden palette, and moved back the chair, to retrieve a footrest, which she'd barely begun to place her hinds upon, before he grabbed her tail, almost manhandling, as he rubbed some pale blue paste in.
Suppressing the urge to shift, and settle herself more comfortably, and stuffing back protest, she forced herself to relax into the repetitive movement instead. No sense provoking the wolf. Better let him be, and obtain the desired result.
Her muscles were beginning to cramp in awkward places, when M. Todd shattered the silence with his request. She smacked down her snarky come back, looked around, and quickly picked up the yellow from a tiny corner of the seat, where it'd been jabbing into her ribs. She handed him the pot, gratefully, staring curiously down at the white fur beginning to sprout from her tail as she did so.

The Wolf grabbed the pot of yellow dye and dipped a comb into it, dragging the thick dye through the newly grown fur, combing it down to the roots and making sure to continue doing it until the fur had stopped growing. A full five minutes later, he ceased combing and stood back admiring the pure yellow fluff that had grown off of the Mouse's tail. Giving a sudden, and somewhat frightful grin, full of teeth. He turned to his table and grabbed a second pot.
Dipping another comb into this pot, which turned out to be full of purple dye, and began to comb this through the tips of the fur, all the way up to the base of her tail, layering it so that it seemed to roll out of the yellow of her newly colored fur.
"How's that look so far, Miss?"
He asked, standing back and gesturing to her tail. Her tail looked slightly damp and the fur hung awkwardly due to the drying dye. But the colors were vibrant and the fur nice and long.
