Hoofs make a soft clank noise as the canine-equine mix made her way down the paved street. She had wanted to do this for a while and they had finally been able to sneak out of the chaotic house long enough for it to happen. Humming a soft tune to herself – something about mutant Banders and people devouring plants – she glanced over her shoulder to make sure that her twin was still following. Seeing that he was but was at a distance far enough away from her to make her dissatisfied with his lack of cooperation she gave a huff before sitting down to await his catching up. Really, now, was it seriously that hard to follow someone? He had been doing it for a while now so there was no reason for it. “You are not afraid are you?” she taunted just because she could and also to help distract him from any nerves he might have . . . she was not nervous, after all. Not. At. All.

The canine was dragging his feet, occasionally glancing forlornly over his shoulder and waiting for one of their numerous parents to catch them sneaking out and away. They totally would have if -he'd- been the one to come up with the idea. He was -always- caught. Why was it Venka was always able to cause so much trouble? The canine pouted as the girl stared huffily at him, ears going back uneasily. "Noooo," he replied flatly, but there was concern in his dark eyes. Venka wanted TATTOOES. That was 'wrong' because it was going to HURT. He knew it would because all of Venka's ideas ended up in him being hurt. ALL of them. Also, he'd heard Eir and Ira joke about getting tattooes and anything either of those two wanted could not bode well for him. "Let's just go home, Ven," the boy whined softly.

Rolling her eyes at her brother she muttered something along the lines of “wimp”. And by mutter of course that meant that it was specifically aimed towards the canine and would be loud enough for him to hear.
“We are almost there,” she motioned with her nose towards a shop just down the street, “So it would be pointless to turn back now, would it not.”
When he had finally caught up with her she pulled herself back up before continuing on the way. They were going to get matching tattoos. This was what it meant to be twins. . . . well actually it was more that she really wanted a tattoo but was too afraid to get it by herself. Not that she would ever admit it aloud and if her brother guessed as much she would deny it with her being.
Reaching the desired building she gave a few knocks with the tip of her hoof before maneuvering the door open and entering.

Vishne was so beyond not pleased about this whole situation, but, as usual, he couldn't seem to tell his sister no. He couldn't ever tell Venka 'no' and that usually meant that he ended up hurt. He was the guinea pig of the family and it really bit! Still, when the hybrid threw her head up in the air and got that look, he knew it didn't matter wot he said; she was going to bull her way into getting her way no matter wot. With a sad, little sigh, the boy followed the girl.
He crept quietly in behind her and his eyes went wide and his tail tucked tight and close beneath his body. "Ven..." he whispered. "This... doesn't look safe... Let's go home!" His voice, while whining, was also dangerously close to begging. Where were they?!?! This could NOT be sanitary!

Rolling her eyes again she ignored her brother’s protests, once again for a time that was surely uncountable. There were already here, and since she was not going to turn away now so neither was he.
Entering the building fully, assuming that her brother was following behind her, she took in the appearance of the place. The room appeared to be mostly empty, the floorboards were covered in a good amount of dust and the window edges appeared to be a color of green. A barber’s chair sat in the center of the room. There was a slight air of . . . foreboding was it? But from living in the apartment with all of her other siblings, not to mention the mutant Bander and various plants that were probably on the ‘most dangerous’ list, she felt quite at home.
Not seeing anyone about who could help them she looked to her brother, gave a little shrug. Maybe they had gone to do something? Leaning against one of the walls she decided that she would wait for a few minutes before trying to attract someone’s attention.

A door on the far left wall suddenly banged open and a tall, somewhat mussed Biped stalked out. His eyes were slightly bloodshot and he wore a deep scowl. There were children, he already knew, he had head them. His ears swiveled toward them, nose wrinkling as he sniffed. "What're you kids doin' in 'ere?"He muttered, eyes narrowed. If these children were in here to steal his possessions like the last scruffy brat....he would make certain his business partner had enough pies to sell for a day or two. His hand meandered down to his hip, fingers curling at the razor kept at his side, not drawing it but ready. What odd children they were too...one had to be a Yarrow...Yarrows, damn them...the other...he had no idea.

She jumped when she heard the door slam open, catching her off guard. Well he definitely looked like a strange sort of fellow. Turning her full attention to the bipedal she gave him a friendly smile.
“Well, you see sir my twin, here,” she motioned towards her brother, “and myself are in need of your services. We are interested in getting the same tattoo.” She informed him, in a business-like manner. Well they were not identical twins it was true, so it was not really surprising when there were many who did not believe on first sight that the two were twins, considering they looked nothing alike and their personalities were quite different.
If her brother gave in protest of the situation or her words she silenced them with an elbow to the stomach. Having silenced him or not she continued on, “We were thinking something small . . . however, we were also hoping to have them enchanted.”

Initially, dread fear kept him silent, but as she began to talk, he tried to object. Of course Venka would know that he would and of course she would stop him from saying anything. She managed to catch him right on his solar plexus and he gave a small gasp, sending her a dark, reproachful look. He was only going to tell her that this was way too scary. And that it was obviously a bad idea to trust anyone in this sort of dingy building to give them tattooes. Tattooes involved needles, right? And he -really- didn't like needles, but, even more so, he REALLY didn't like the idea of this scary, dirty man cutting them and potentially getting them super infected!
Now he was afraid to say anything, though, because Venka would just pop him again. So Vishne settled for glaring at the biped's feet and making his displeasure known through silence.

The little Yarrow was at least certain of what she wanted and he raised an eyebrow at the hesitant reactions of the canine.
But he wasn't about to quarrel with them when they wanted to purchase something so expensive, hell no.
"Tattoos, huh? Describe 'em to me and tell me wha' kind of enchan'ment you're thinking of. Here's a list of m' prices, look over tha'. Then you'll hand over the money and I'll get started."
He muttered, moving over to his long, wooden table and digging through a few supplies, pulling two small jars forward, one black, the other red, and then digging through a drawer and pulling out two odd contraptions. One was long and spring-loaded, the other was a tiny container with a screw-on top. He set these on the table and waited to see if the kids would balk at the price.
Most did, not realizing what kind of cost enchantments held, especially since sorcery wasn't his specialty. Huh...kids...

Eyeing the price list that was handed to her she scanned the prices. She balked a little at the more expensive ones, no, no, those would not do. Finding the price that suited their coins just fine she pointed to it and showed the bipedal.
“This one should do for the both of us.” She looked to her twin with a hesitant look. Though she had been plotting the tattoo idea for a while now, she had never really thought of a design. “I guess we will let you chose the design, you have been doing this longer then us so you would probably know what would look good. As for the enchantment? We were hoping that it could be something that would allow us to talk and hear each other, even when we are not near. Kind of like the Club power . . . only not.”
She hoped that was enough information for the man, if not then well, he would have to ask more questions huh.
She took a step forward, making her way towards him. She would go first, after all if she got it done then her brother would have to.
