(Jenn, if you wanna bring Fluffy in, that would be fantastic X3 Rhi's... probably about 4 or 5 here.) Escape was easily accomplished by one such as her. She needed only to wait until her parents were making retarded deer-eyes at each other to slip out the door. The long and seemingly endless halls of the Court of Hearts were her domain, and she looked upon every man and woman as her own. One day, they would all bow their heads to her as she passed, she was more than sure of it. Her nose was held high with confidence as she walked, legs more than a little wobbly with her youth, funny bat-nose twitching at every little smell, oversized ears erect to pick up all the mindless chatter. Amber eyes glinted as she walked, determined to find her way outside of the Courts and into the gardens. Oho, she would be the master of not only this place, but all the others! She would even be the Queen of the Capital City, whatever that was. Her father had told her again and again that it was impossible for her to do such a thing, and the girl had laughed. Nothing was impossible. She knew the reason that no one stopped her as she made her merry way, the reason that she was politely stepped around and glanced at curiously was the danger on her face. She was a killing machine, and it was plain to see it - they were terrified of her! Her tail began to wag at the thought, and feeling energized, the girl picked up the pace, trotting down the long hall. It was a perfect morning. Nothing could change the respect that hung heavy in the air no matter where she walked.

Xiven sighed as she walked down the hallway half dead. Lesson after lesson about politics and magic and various ways to kill people slowly. All of it was very jumbled in her head as she walked down the hallways. One day she would find someone who could lecture without being dry about it. She could learn verbally easily, but Mom was better at teaching when it came to her voice. Even her hand puppets alone could grab her attention more than her tutor's voice. Which said a lot, since Xiven thought some of those things were creepy. Her thoughts stopped as she watched someone trot down the hall with the confidence of a Queen. Her ears twitched curiously as she absorbed the coloration. Oh! That was Heilyn's kid wasn't it? What was her name again...? She might as well find out first hand! The feline trotted up to the girl with a smirk. "Who might you be?"

A single ear twitched, its twin pointing directly backwards in a strange expression. There was someone walking towards her, wasn't there? The girl turned on her heel, never once stopping her constant trot until she laid eyes on the Torquelhelm feline. Her backwards ear panned forward as well, until both were standing erect. She was speaking to her, wasn't she? For a moment, the hybrid couldn't believe the girl, and then her eyes fell upon the marking that shone red on her breast.
Oooh. A Queen. That made everything much more obvious! Only a Queen would approach her with so little fear.
Oh, right. Manners. Tail still wagging, the hybrid dipped into a bow, wings spreading dramatically. A Queen demanded respect, did she not? "Hi!" she said, voice wavering with her youth. "I'm Rhiannon, and you're a Queen! We've both got purple," she announced, sounding quite pleased with herself for noticing, wiggling in the sun slightly so that her coat shimmered.

Fluffy had waited for most of the day in the room as she'd been told, wandering around and grooming herself and tidying things as best she could for when Xiven got back. She'd even pulled down one of the picture books that her owner used to look through when she was very, very young just so that she could admire the colorful images. The simple words below them made no sense to her, but then, why would a pet know how to read? As the afternoon started to hit the palace and the sun shone through the window on the other side of the room, her ears pricked at the sound of Xiven's voice not too far away from their bedroom door. She walked over to listen, hearing it a little further away than she'd expected. There weren't steps moving closer either. More curious now, she opened the door and peeked her head around, spying the Queen talking to a very young Card a ways away down the hall. She blinked and watched, not wanting to interrupt her owner. ((Consider Fluffy outside of any posting order. <3 Don't feel the need to wait for her to do anything if it isn't called for. Hehe.))

Xiven snorted. Was she that obvious when she was young? She shrugged, "Yes I am, and yes we do. It's nice to meet you Rhiannon. My name is Xiven."
Talking to a little child was weird. She didn't understand how people did it so well. It wasn't everyday you saw someone, child or not, strut around the halls like they owned the place. In particular a six of Hearts. "What brings you to this part of the palace strutting like you own the place?" Her tail twitched as she studied the girl in front of her. A bat-dog. That was a very interesting mix wasn't it? She had a really pretty mane too. Cute little girl overall. Still didn't mean she could go around the palace like that. There were worse people running around than Xiven.
She rolled her eyes at the very thought and returned her attentions to Rhiannon.

Rhiannon's funny yellow eyes glimmered slightly, and her tail wagged. This Queen was purple and black, and for some reason that sat extremely well with the hybrid. She couldn't help but notice that the feline had purple in some of the places that she did - on her paws and coloring the tip of her tail, for example. She was a little jealous, though. Xiven had more purple.
That was okay. She was older, too. Maybe there was more purple in Rhiannon's future. Who knew?
"Xiven is a pretty name," Rhiannon said, bowing again and looking up at the feline with her head tilted to the side. She giggled. "The pretty Queen has a pretty name! It fits!" she announced, quite delighted. Her tail wagged almost crookedly, moving in a circle with her lack of control over the appendage. She hesitated slightly, blinking in confusion. Why wasn't she able to walk through the palace? Her ears flicked back slightly.
"Should I not be? Is there danger? My dad's an assassin, he'll keep me and you safe." the feline's actual question went unheard by the paranoid little coyote-bat.

Xiven choked back a giggle. This kid was adorable. Absolutely adorable. Compliments too boot. "Thank you, Rhiannon, and if I might say you have pretty eyes."
And then the little Queen blinked. Her daddy was an assassin? Wasn't he a bodyguard? She shrugged it off. Children got words wrong all the time. Either way that wasn't the point. "You don't want to draw attention to yourself a lot of the time in the palace. There are some pretty nasty people running around that your Daddy might not be able to come in time to protect you from. Just... be careful. I wouldn't want someone as interesting as you to run into trouble."
In particular Raj and his sleazy little pet. Those bastards caused enough trouble by existing, she didn't want them to get involved with anyone she liked. Ever. Xiven pushed the thoughts from her head and went back to focusing on the girl. "Why exactly are you running around the palace?"

Rhiannon sat back, holding herself tall for a moment and then almost falling over backwards. Her wings flared slightly and flapped, sending her reeling forward once again. She grinned widely up at Xiven, the expression seen more clearly in her eyes than on her mouth, which was mostly covered by her Bog-mask. "Majesty Xiven is so nice!" the hybrid barked, voice pleased and embarassed by the compliment all at once. She was trying to be proper with the title, not even aware that she wasn't quite using it correctly.
All that Rhiannon knew was that this girl was commanding of respect, even and especially from herself. She was hoping that she would have the chance to stick close to the other girl and learn how to be so cool!
"I'm pretty tough, too." she announced, puffing out her chest. "Would those bad people come after you, Majesty Xiven? I can take them out if they bother you. Then they can't do anything to either of us." her tail was beginning to wag again, her expression a strange one, somewhere between admiration and budding obsession.
That was a question that the girl wasn't quite sure how to answer, and she looked around. There was something that she had been trying to do, but now that it came down to it, she was at a complete loss as to what it was. "I was... jus' exploring." she shuffled slightly. The palace was extremely new to her. Had that door been open before? "Majesty Xiven, I think we're being spys on." she said, ears flattening as she looked at the door that Fluffy was hiding behind.

Xiven could almost feel the sugar rotting out her teeth from the cute. She grinned at the little bat dog. "Don't worry about me. I'll just poison what they eat so they'll leave me alone for a while," she winked at the girl playfully. It may not have sounded like a playful thing to joke about but knocking someone out for twenty days was pretty damn funny. "Be careful anyway, the bad guys are tricky fellows."
Exploring eh? She honestly couldn't blame her for that. "Well then, if you're exploring and don't know you're way around I can show you some places if you like. I've been around for quite some time." Well. Longer than she had anyway, so it was all good. Her tail swished until the girl mentioned something about spies. The feline blinked a few times and turned around to see the open door.
"Oh! That's just Fluffy! She's been waiting for me! I totally forgot," Xiven said with a snort. She forgot a lot of things recently. "Want to meet my Fluffy?"

Rhiannon's eyes went wide at that, and her ears perked forward in obvious interest. Poison? Her tail slowed slightly, and she felt a pang of jealousy. It made perfect sense when she thought about it. Xiven was a Queen, and that meant that she had abilities that Rhiannon could only dream of, at least for the time being.
It only made Xiven stand out more in her mind.
"Poison? Really? What kind of poison?" she asked, curiosity showing in every aspect of the way she was holding herself. And the offer was so kind, her tail started to wag again, only much faster than it had before. "I would love that! I wanna meet Highness Bernard. My momma keeps talking about him." the little girl exclaimed. She knew it would be rude so she held herself back, but she could just tackle Xiven for how happy she was making her feel!
A Pet? That was a word she wasn't exactly familiar with. Fluffy she was. Her stupid stupid brother was fluffy, but he wasn't a pet. That did give her a thought, however. Maybe her brother could be her pet. "Can I? I've never met a pet before."
