"My own," Xiven replied to the poison comment. Being able to secret her own poison was one of the most interesting things she could do. Along with "pulling someone's death" with her pain ability.
Her ears twitched at the other comment. She haven't even met Bernard. She had heard so many stories from her Mom about the man, but never really saw the point in meeting him. He was busy and... why would he want to bother with a kid? She had nothing interesting to say too.
Right focus. "You've never met a pet before? Well I suppose we'll just have to fix that!" Xiven said cheerfully as she turned around to trot towards Fluffy. Rhiannon was definitely adorable, and Fluffy would be fine as long as she didn't get too loud. Things were going better today than she originally thought. Side adventures like this always made the day better.

Fluffy perked up when she heard her name being spoken by her owner, ears fully forward to catch all of the sounds and some of the words that were being spoken. Xiven sounded like she was in a good mood, which made her pet more than happy. A pleasant owner made for a pleasant afternoon, in her mind. She didn't have to worry about calming or soothing or anything like that. She could just be the pretty little pet she was and roll around or sit there or whatever seemed good at the time.
Except first she would have to meet this new person that Xiven was leading over. She gathered enough from the conversation to know that she would be introduced and took a few steps past the door, sitting down to wait for her owner to make this stranger known to her. At least it was a young stranger. They were usually pretty nice, and even if they weren't, she trusted her owner to keep her safe from grasping hands or mouths.
Her fur fluffed out prettily, a bit mussed from the bed but still well enough groomed, and her cloud of fragrance wafted out as the two approached.

"I think that's the... the most amazing thing ever." Rhiannon said, blinking round and wonder-filled eyes at the feline. She had never even imagined that something like that could even be a possibility, but now that she did... It was a good one, and the feline only went up higher in Rhiannon's mind.
At the news that she would have the privalage of meeting Fluffy, her expression brightened, and her tail began to wag. It was a slow movement at first, then it began to move faster as her excitment grew. She trotted a few steps behind Xiven out of respect, but she had to work hard to keep from dashing ahead and to the open door. This was all FAR too exciting for her to just calmly walk up to! What would this pet be like? She was sure she would be cute, but she wondered in what way.
When Fluffy walked out, Rhiannon's tail was a blur of motion and cheer. An Ace? A Pet was an Ace? She was surprised at first, but then when she thought about it, it all made sense. Her papa was loud on the fact that an Ace had little purpose but to pull a cart or look nice, and this Fluffy certainly did look nice. Rhiannon's eyes fell on the delicate purple swirls, and it took all of her self-control to keep from wiggling. "C-Can I say hi to her?" the girl asked, looking up at Xiven excitedly. "She's so pretty!"

Xiven grinned. Rhiannon was terribly cute. "Yes, you can say Hi." She said as she walked to sit besides the Ace. She nudged her carefully and muttered, "It's all right to say hello, she's only a kid."
If Fluffy would understand or not, she wasn't sure. It didn't really matter to Xiven that she couldn't understand what was going on sometimes. She would always treat her the way she did. Fluffy was the only one who would know her secrets and her troubles. The only one who would care for her unconditionally.
"She is very pretty, and she's very dear to me. So don't be rough with her if you want to pet her, okay?" Xiven told the young girl with a grin. She really did enjoy Rhiannon, and hoped for the best in the future to come. Then again, a lot of cute kids end up being terrors. Funny how that worked.

The child with her owner certainly looked like a happy one, if nothing else. Fluffy purred softly when Xiven nudged her and got enough out of the comment to know that she should say hello. Her paws shifted to let her lean closer to her owner as she wondered if she should say anything else. It was only a young child, after all.
"Hello," she said eventually, shyly, whiskers twitching at the greeting. It always made her antsy to introduce herself to others, even when they were little. At least Xiven had already made the proper introduction, and she'd told her to do it, so it wasn't Bad or anything like that. Still, Xiven's Mommy Peaches probably wouldn't be happy with her talking much around anyone. Who were the child's parents? Would she tell them? Would they tell the purple-haired woman? She hoped not.
Now that Rhiannon was close, the calming nature of the scent that clung to the Ace's fur would be made apparent and the girl would probably feel some of her excitement toning down into a more mellow attitude. That was one reason her owner didn't take her to parties where people were in high spirits, even if she might have in other circumstances.

Rhiannon felt amazingly awkward around the pair of graceful felines, becoming all-too-aware of her own shortcomings: Wide paws and stumpy legs, wings that wobbled and opened of their own accord, and a tail that betrayed every emotion. At the moment, the latter apendage was tucked slightly between her legs, a sure sign that she was feeling suitably submissive of the two. Sure, Fluffy was an Ace, but she was also a Queen's pet. When the Ace spoke, Rhiannon's tail began to wag, wiggling between her hind legs.
"Hi, Fluffy," Rhiannon said, voice soft and surprisingly gentle as she took a step forward, head held low as if she was approaching a non-Card pet. "My name's Rhiannon. You're really pretty."
She looked back at Xiven, only Fluffy's magical scent keeping her somewhat calm, her amber eyes widened slightly, ears perking forward. "I can pet her? Really? Is it okay with you, Fluffy?" This news was almost too good to be true, and Rhiannon didn't want to step on any toes. She would hate to offend either party in this.

Xiven grinned as she watched the excitement fade a little. She had forgotten about Fluffy's perfume, and was terribly thankful. That and Fluffy was being polite and horribly cute. What a nice day it had turned out to be.
"You can pet her if she's okay with it I suppose," Xiven said as she turned back to Fluffy. She was probably worried about Mom finding out about all of this. Well, it was a good thing Mom didn't care half the time. Plus. Rhi was a child. Breaking the rules for kids was a little different than breaking the rules for adults. Mom would be upset about something like that.
"It's really okay Fluffy," Xiven said as she nudge her softly on the nose. She would never let anyone mistreat her Fluffy without being properly punished. If something happened to Fluffy, the little Queen honestly wouldn't know what to do with herself.

This child really was terribly cute. And timid. And polite. That perked Fluffy right up. This wouldn't be one of the nasty little ones that licked her or pulled her ear or anything like that before her owner came back. It probably also helped that Xiven was right there overseeing the whole thing. It helped the Ace's mindset, at any rate. Everything was better with Xiven there.
She took a step closer to the girl at her owner's okay and gently reached out one suddenly very silky paw to pat the girl's shoulder. The sensation was exceptionally calming and pleasant, or so said Xiven, so she liked doing it to people her owner deemed to be safe. It usually made them happy, which made them even nicer towards her, which made her happy. That was the kind of cycle she wanted to see.
Plus, Xiven always seemed to be so proud when people complimented her pet, and a happy owner was better than anything ever.

Rhiannon could have died happy in that moment.
She had never, in all of her admittedly short life, felt anything as soft as Fluffy's paws. That, in combination with her wonderfully soothing scent, made the bat-dog practically melt with pleasure. She beamed at Fluffy, taking that as an invitation that it was okay to pet her, very slowly and deliberately lifting a paw and scratching very softly behind the cat's ears. She had seen her father do this to her mother before, and she had always seemed to enjoy it, so it seemed like a reasonable thing to do.
She smiled up at Xiven, tail flopping gently against the floor. "Majesty? What do you do around here, anyway?" she asked, looking genuinely curious. "You're so lucky to have such a pretty and nice pet... All I have is a dumb brother who messes everything up." she scowled slightly, lower lip jutting out. She loved him dearly, but he wasn't nearly as wonderful as Fluffy was, and his company tended to wear on her.
