Heike was surprised. That was the understatement of the century. His master wanted more Does, always, it was a never ending cycle. Why would he send him to pick up someone that he had traded for or whatever? His master normally did this sort of thing. Was there something so terrible with this Doe that he would send his most hated (yet responsible) servant to pick her up? The Czar must have lost it. There was no other explanation. Either way, it was a Doe, and this Warren wasn't too terribly far off. Thankfully. They could easily walk back to The Czar's chamber of terrors. When the leveret was led to the proper place to meet the Doe in question he sighed. This was a very unorthodox matter. How horrible was this Doe that master had traded a pocket watch for? Who would give up a Doe for a pocket watch. Then he saw her. And was shocked, the expression on his face said everything. He tried to tone it down when he approached her, "Uh... Miss... I've come to pick you up....?"Holy Mother of the White Rabbit she was... amazing and Master didn't know yet.

She had been locked up in her room all day. A few of the leverets had forced her into a tub, the water disappearing in a cloud of steam as her mane boiled it. Her mane had even burnt a few of the leverets that were so eager to force her into a situation she was terrified of. And instead of feeling good about getting them back it only served to make her feel worse. She had been crying for a while but the tears never reached further than an inch and a bit. It was then that she decided it wasn't worth it. . to cry and worry. She receded into herself and was therefore startled when a leveret came to her room, letting her know she needed to be waiting in the front room for when she'd get picked up. She felt so horrible that she wasn't even surprised when she noticed it was a leveret that had come to pick her up. . and not the Jack himself. If all she was worth was a pocket watch hell, she could have been picked up by a card for all she knew. She was worthless. Her golden eyes glanced up at smaller leveret and went back down to the floor, making her jewelery twinkle and jingle merrily. She just nodded. "I uh. . okay I'm ready." She moved forwards outside the burrow, a lump forcing itself down her throat. She would /not/ cry again.

Heike was amazed. Such an amazing Doe and Master didn't know! He hopped ahead of her, opening all the doors until they were outside. He was so happy he could...he couldn't think of anything to do.
They walked a little bit in the awkward silence. He wasn't supposed to talk with a Doe on equal footing, but she was depressed and there was no one around to stop him. Hell yes. "Madam? I haven't been privileged to your name yet... though I shouldn't even be privileged to such a thing unless you want to tell a lowly servant your name."
When was the last time he had been nice out of the goodness of his own heart? Never. Ha. Well there was that one time but.... he had also feared for his life. He turned back to the Doe, still walking forward. He knew exactly where he was going. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Now and when we get to your new home?"

She blinked a little, looking up in surprise as he opened doors for her. That was. . odd, for her at least. Though she supposed for most Does that was common. She nodded thankfully and continued to walk, following beside the leveret assuming the antlered rabbit would know if they had to turn or stay on course.
Her head lifted at the lev's words. "Igni." She said quietly, it was being so polite to her. How cruel. She looked down at the ground again as they continued moving, her jewelery making contradictory happy noises.
Though maybe, if she made some leveret friends her Jack's hatred wouldn't be so bad? Would it be horrible of her to talk back? Would it. . really want to talk to her? Obviously it did. Or maybe, it just wanted to gather information for it's Jack.
"I'm not sure. Just. . show me my room if I . . get one maybe?" She asked quietly. "What's your name?" She looked up from under her lashes. If the leveret told her, perhaps she could have a conversation. If not, well that's what she expected wasn't it?

Heike stared for a moment. Did she seriously think she wasn't getting a room all to herself? How badly had this Doe been treated. Master wouldn't like this at all! How could anyone abuse their Doe in such away!
And then she asked for his name. That... hadn't happened in a long while. Not even that Yarrow wanted to know his name. That was... a nice change. "My name is Heike, Miss Igni. You will be getting your own room, I assure you. My master treats all of his Does well. You will be waited on hand and foot as long as you want to. However... for now we're a bit short staffed in the servant department."
His ears almost dropped at the thought. There were two Leverets to cover the entire Warren. It was just... a nightmare. "But I promise that we will be able to keep you comfortable."

A short hurt sound fell from her lips. Oh, they would see when she showed up. What Jack would treat her well, she was a freak. She was still a virgin even, she would probably be traded around until she was given to a new Jack, kicked from his father's warren. She'd be one of those Does.
"Heike." She repeated quietly, she'd remember it. It was a nice name and the leveret was being friendly, even if it might be forced.
"Oh I don't mind. I'm used to getting things for myself." She smiled at the leveret, the first smile since. . since the day she had shown her father proudly what she had become. It was small, and lasted only a second, but it was there. Even if it was forced the leveret was being kind and that was good enough.
She was starting to get hot, her ears adding to her body heat as they walked. Igni felt the prickle of sweat beneath her fur and cursed inwardly. Please, please not another bath.

His ears flickered backwards and then back to their resting position. That wasn't normal at all. Does weren't supposed to do things for themselves. The leveret slowed his pace. She seemed to be getting tired.
"Well, you won't have to get things for yourself, I assure you, Madam," He said with a nod. She was nice, and Master would probably want to pamper her. He was the Czar after all. Feared throughout society as being a bastard to other Jacks unless he had to. He was amazing to his Does though. Skilled enough to fight to protect them even. Which was why Heike had to leave before his sister befell the same fate. He hated his Master, and always would. No one was good enough for his sister. No one.
He glanced over at the young Doe. "If you want to stop for a bit, we can. You look terribly tired Miss Igni."

She noticed the ears and looked down at the ground again. She had spoken out of place hadn't she? Great Igni. . great.
The heat really was starting to get to her, it always did. Ever since she had become a Doe moving around too much, and even sitting still had her too warm. Igni tried to fight off the heat by drinking cold drinks, but it only helped so much. She puffed a little.
"I. . it's just my mane. Oh please don't touch it!" She said quickly with fear in her voice, in case the leveret had started to reach towards it. It really truly was fire, and it really truly burned.
"I. . " She went quiet, it was the source of all her problems. The Doe found a shady place and sat for a minute. A bath. . she would have to have one again. This was just turning out horribly.

Heike was startled by her sudden change of tone. He nearly hopped back a few steps, but instead, he watched her as she walked over to sit in the shade of the tree. He sat down a little ways away from her with a tilted head.
"It won't Miss Igni. I won't do anything you don't want me to," he said with a small nod. She was a Doe after all, he had to follow her orders. "We have a little way to go. Once we're there you need to take a bath and I'll show you to your room. Master is out until this evening, I'm afraid. I assure you though, when he returns he'll be happy to meet you."
And he would probably want to celebrate with his favorite drink of Vodka and lemon, unless he wanted something special. He looked at the Doe. She was probably too good to be true.

Even though she was hot she began to shiver. A. . bath. Her eyes closed and she dropped her head lower, looking more defeated than should be possible.
"It burns." She whimpered. Not herself, no, it didn't burn her. But the residual heat and the warmth of her ears overheated her often. It was a mockery in a way. Normally the ears helped cool rabbits, but hers. She had no way to cool down, none, besides staying in cooler places and and consuming colder drinks and food.
"I just don't want to burn you. . . not again." She whispered the last bit, she hadn't burned this leveret, but she had burnt others.
"And my ears. . they're always so warm." The words were softly spoken, how would she ever function as a proper Doe? She had to sleep away from bedding, away from curtains of any sort. How? Just how?
She put on a quick false smile. "Should. . we get going?"
