Mo curled his tailed into a happy little 's' shape as he watched Mia investigate what he'd made. It was such a fantastic reassurance of his own abilities when others fussed over things in a most genuine fashion, he liked attention and it wasn't really a secret. At his question, however, he tilted his head for a moment, almost in thought, before nodding. But it hadn't been the game he was pondering over.
I do.... you want to play? Oh, and I've decided you can call me Mo if you'd like.
Mo was reserved for only that handful of others that he truly liked and Mia had become one of those, he was just so easy to get along with, and he'd made him quite the chipper little weasel-rat as well, so he'd figured the name was earned.

Osias would be found walking away from the kitchens and heading toward the staircase that lead to his rather seclusive quarters. Lysaras has been kind enough to cater to his, er, talents and habits and his room was toward the back of the palace where a somewhat secret exit was located. He had a tray of tea, much preferring to make and carry his own out of sheer paranoia, and if Mia were lucky he'd see the retreating tail of Osias as he stepped fully into the darkness of the empty hallway. Quite possibly the most disconcerting place to have an encounter with the rat, that was for sure. He was, however, in rather good spirits this evening... well, good spirits for him.

Mia did indeed see the tail as he'd been scampering down the hallway, and he skidded to an abrupt stop--well, almost, he actually ran into the wall because his paws had slid on the marble floor, but it had the same effect of stopping his motion regardless.
As soon as his head stopped spinning from the impact he ran off (a bit slower this time) after the rat and followed him down the hallway. "Osias? Sir?" He called, and stopped behind him as soon as he was close enough.
"Sir, I.. need to talk to Morpheus, please?" Mia almost paused there, but had a feeling that wasn't going to be enough to convince the King before him to submit to having his head examined without passing out in the library. "I.. I think I can get him out, sir." If that wasn't enough temptation for the rat, well, then Mia was just screwed.

He'd thought he heard a thud and a scratching of claws, but it was distant and he merely regarded it with a flick of an ear, he had better things to do then interact with anyone tonight. Most likely it had been a servant, which made him even less likely to strike up any form of a conversation. He was just at the stairs when he'd heard a young voice and, most importantly, his own name.
He paused, looking down at the boy and regarding him with a raised eyebrow and an otherwise unamused expression. He recognized the ferret, of course, but hadn't the foggiest idea what the boy was doing looking for him. He was somewhat placated by the respectful title though, it held a bit more sway with him then 'your highness' did, anyhow. Perhaps because it was so little used?
Oh, he wanted to talk to Mo? Well, that was fine and dandy but he wasn't going to simply fall asleep to cater to the wants of a child. Finistris yes, others no. However, what he'd said next did gain a bit of interest from the rat, which showed on his features. He wasn't entirely certain he believed the boy, but he seemed sure enough of himself to gain a very slight smirk from the rat.
Oh? Well, I must say you've found me at a good time. Come, Mia, join me in my quarters and we'll discuss this over some tea.
His voice was laced with his own diamond charm, which should be taken as a somewhat good sign fro the youth. Osias was being kind enough as well, but only for the simple fact that if the really had it figured out then this could certainly help him out quite a bit. However, said tone also left no room for the boy to refuse.... if he was serious.
Osias simply turned, heading up the stairs and keeping an ear out for the boy.

Mia wasn't sure that Osias was going to even bother talking to him--he had this look of disdain on his face that clearly wondered why this stupid little boy bothered to speak to him, but as soon as he mentioned 'Mo' and 'get out', the rat immediately became highly welcoming.
Well, hey, whatever worked.
"Thank you sir, I appreciate it." Mia's tone was polite, as a boy of 10's should be to a superior of Osias' standing.
Actually, he really hated the damned formalities and being treated like a piece of crap by some of the dignitaries simply because he was younger than them.. if not far behind them in rank. But he wanted Mo out, damnit, and if that meant he had to go through Osias, he would, especially since Osias seemed to be even more nice than he usually was, period, especially given the circumstances.. odd.

This particular staircase, his as he'd mused at the beginning, wasn't very well lit at all and was actually situated in a lesser visited section of the palace. It was simply perfect for the rather anti-social rat and his.... business, but he'd delight in having Mia invade his space for a bit if he proved to be truly useful in the matter that was most pressing in Osias' mind. He'd made a promise he didn't intend to break after all. They'd go up quite awhile in silence before he'd pause in front of a door, maneuvering the tray and the key around his wrist with practiced ease before he paused, not quite opening the door yet. One moment... His words were muttered but he opened the door and went in. He turned his head, made a hand gesture to the side and voiced a command in the tongue of the Lowlands before looking over his shoulder and gesturing the boy in with his head. He sat the tray onto his desk and offered the boy the only chair in the room. In fact, his room looked almost unlived in. The rat didn't own much, didn't need to, and everything he did have was very neat and orderly and.... clean. Mia would be hard pressed to find any dust, had he wanted to look. The only mess there was were a few papers spread out on his desk, a current project. So, Dysthymia, I don't wish to waste your time, and I certainly hope you do not wish to waste mine so please, begin telling me your plan. I would love nothing more then to hear how you propose to free my Morpheus. All the while a bright orange, brown and white bander was glaring at the boy, growling and bristled but sitting obediently in his... basket. Despite the bright colors he looked about as friendly as the rat did. Osias busied himself with pouring tea, the disgusting stuff that it was, and started by fully inspecting the cups, if they were the slightest bit dirty he'd need to acquire different ones. The rat was.... paranoid, but the cups met his approval and he lifted the tea pot and poured two cups, setting one on the desk in front of Mia. He hadn't brought up any bowls as he wasn't expecting company, especially company with just their animal form.

Mia nodded and paused appropriately, his eyes following the rat's movements curiously. After they entered he had to pause to take in the complete and utter.. neatness.. that was the room. Who knew a moderately gross lowlander would keep his belongings so orderly, so clean? In retrospect, the ferret realised he had been expecting the suite to match it's owner, but you couldn't judge a book by it's cover; Mia kept himself pristine, but if you were to walk into his room.. well, you couldn't walk into his room, you could barely get the door open, so that was his point, in essence.
Once he was offered a chair, the ferret quickly sat down in it and immediately made himself comfortable by moving into a half-curled position. He listened carefully, then nodded once before he began. "Well, I doubt you want to hear the whole story, but the short version of it is that on top of being able to get into people's dreams, I've found I can bring things out with me." He paused to collect his thoughts, then continued. "I've only tried bringing dream-objects, and those disappear almost immediately.. but Mo isn't a dream-object. He's real.. right?" Mia dropped off, not completely certain what Morpheus really was, and assuming Osias knew more about it than he. "I think.. I think I should be able to take Mo out with me when I leave. If it doesn't work, he just.. won't be able to get through the window, like always."
Mia blinked at the bander growling at him. He had little experience with them, but it seemed as if it was staying in it's little basket.. so he would ignore it, for now.

He stepped behind the ferret and shut the door, locking it as well in one fluid movement that spoke of years of practice. He turned, heading back over to the desk and leaning lightly against it, arms folded and ears forward, listening fully. So the boy was special, eh? Well, he'd figured as much and therefor his explanation didn't surprise him at all. However, the question of Mo's existence made the corner of one side of his muzzle curl up, inadvertently showing a bit of yellowed fang.
He's just as real as we are, simply on a different plane, I don't even know all the details.
Varestes probably would, but he wouldn't refer the boy to him any day, that King could certainly rot and he wouldn't care at all. He would not let such thoughts put a damper on what might end up being quite a nice evening though and shook his head lightly, chasing away any added negativities. He then turned those golden eyes back on the boy and moved forward a bit, bending down to be near the boy's face if he permitted it.
We will proceed if you are more then certain this will work. I must warn you that if you hurt my son I will kill you.
This was not an idle threat either, for the boy had grown rather precious to the rat and should anything happen to him, especially by his own doing or permission, there was a rather good bet he'd go into a blind rage. He was also testing the youth's commitment level, if he still wanted to proceed after such a warning then he was truly serious. If not and, well, his time had been wasted and he would no longer be agreeable, or quite possibly Sezja would no longer remain in his basket. All it took was a simple command.

If he was real, in any manner of the word, it should work. Briefly Mia wondered what would happen if he tried to bring Osias out of his own dream.. but then discarded the notion, because he really didn't want to think about weird situations for too long.
The ferret was startled to have Osias' face suddenly in his, but he kept his calm and tried not to be really, really grossed out. "He will be fine. If it doesn't work, he will simply not be able to go through the glass and will stay where he is." Mia did his best to embody his voice with more confidence than he really had; in truth, he was just hoping that's what would happen--he had no idea what other possibilities there were. Mia wanted Mo out just as much as Osias did--it meant he'd have someone to play with and talk to that wasn't a stupid otter, because he knew far too many stupid otters.

His grin intensified, not only moving to both sides of his muzzle but also showing more of his somewhat dingy fangs. He also didn't have his Diamond charm ability activated, so the likelihood of Mia finding it disgusting, or creepy would be quite high.
Good, good. Now, have you any preference of a surface to use.... and how long might you be?
He asked this and he turned, grabbing a book off of a shelf, opening it up and pulling a small key from it, a key which he hid in a different spot almost every time he used it, and returned to the desk. He bent just enough to easily undo the lock and pull open the rather boring looking drawer and slipped out a small container of powder that held a very odd coloration, somewhat green and yet... somewhat pink as well. And then he set the container down on the tea tray and inspected the cup once more, as if it could have possibly gotten dirty from the last time he had.
