"You're a freak!"
He screamed as he took in the sight of his daughter. How had such a pretty young leveret turned into. . . into this? Her mane curled and licked around her face and he could feel the heat when he drew close. She had the lop-ears of her mother, the most attractive trait in his opinion. But when she had aged and became a doe, to his delight. . .
She was disgusting, how would he ever trade her away. No jack would want that. His mind still couldn't wrap around the fact that she had honest to goodness fire, coming off the top of her head.
And her legs, that unearthly shade of blue that neither he nor his doe had on their bodies, though they were morganberry's both. He thought he could ignore it while she was a leveret because of her beautiful ears. Disgusting.
"Get out of my sight girl."

Igni had a wonderful childhood. She was free to do as she wished, and she was pretty bright colours like her parents. The old Midori doe had been a wonderful upbringer. And when she turned adult overnight she had transformed into a doe. She was so happy that she bounded to her Jack father to show off her new form.
She was valuable, and would be appreciated. But then. .
"You're a freak!"
She hunched back, afraid of his tone of voice. What had she done? She was special wasn't she? Her mane flamed, that had to be special right? She even had her mother's lop ears.
Why did he hate her so? Tears started in her eyes but evaporated from the heat halfway down her cheeks. She couldn't even cry properly. Perhaps she really was a freak.
When he demanded her leave, she did as she was told. Like she always did. That's what good does did right? They served their jacks and were pretty things. But apparently. . she wasn't half of what she was supposed to be.

Later that day a leveret found her hiding in the garden. Though with her colouring you could never truly call it hiding. It carried towards her a basket and set it down.
"Yur to be putting these on miss." The leveret looked at her, saddened by her state and the mood that she had put their Jack in.
He moved aside the cloth on top of the basket with his teeth to reveal legbands and some pretty jewelery. She looked up quickly, thinking this some horrible joke. Had. . had he changed her mind? Were these presents?
She pawed at the stuff carefully, reverently. Her first present from a jack, and they were so beautiful. By the time she was dressed she was glowing, chittering happily at the shiny of her new adornments.
The leveret gave her a look and shook his head.
"You know 'hat those are miss, right?" She blinked several times.
"I thought. . ."
"You thought wrong, your Jack is dressin' you up real pretty like to trade you off. I believe for a pocket watch I 'eard. Doesn't want you scarin' 'is Does. . . . Miss." He said with false respect.
. . Igni sat down hard as the leveret left, basket in mouth. A pocket watch. . was that all she was worth?
