So I have decided that it is time to get some of these fanfics out of my head. I have been meaning to get to them, but life = hectic 90% of the time, so since I have a bit of time today, maybe I can get at least one of them out. Today it shall be Blyn's story. For the few of you that have RPed with him, you might have noticed his trinket bag around his neck with all his treasures in it, well, this is the story of how and why he has it and the things inside. It's not very long, and not all that good either. I have the story in my head, but my fingers just don't seem to want to get it out for some reason.
His parents were not proud of him, quite the opposite in fact. Why would the be proud, his father was a 10 and his mother a 9, and all he was was a lousy 7. His name even meant 'seven' to remind him of what a disappointment he was to them. He was the oldest of 3 and the only ma, his sisters all managed to be 9's at least. When he was younger, he didn't really notice the favoritism all that much, but at 16 he had finally started to notice. It wasn't his father so much, he was never around, always looking for ways to better their situation. His mother was a different story. His sisters got the preferred treatment while he got nothing but grief.
Blyn's decision to make things better for himself wasn't an easy one. He had thought long and hard about it, finally coming to the decision that he was going to show all of them just what he was capable of. They would see, he would be better than them, all he had to do was work at it. The first thing he needed to do was to get the hell out of Morganberry.
In reality, that should be the easiest part. No one really cared where he was or what he did, so he could slip out rather easily. Funding might be another story entirely. . .unless his dear mother unwittingly paid for his adventure. It would serve her right of course. All he had to do was wait for the time when he was left alone. . .that happened on a daily basis of course, now to just not look suspicious until the time came.
At the usual time, his mother and sisters left for their daily tea. They seemed to think that if they showed themselves off enough, people would think they were more than what the really were, Blyn realized that everyone just thought they were snotty, self centered b**chs and laughed whenever he saw the looks of disgust on everyone's faces when ever they went out. It was usually the high point of his day.
Once his mother and siblings were out of sight, he snuck into his parents room. He knew right were his parents keep all their valuables, and that was the first place he went. With a look over his shoulder, he strode to the closet, moving the hidden panel away with his nose before lifting the heavy box from under the floor. It wasn't locked of course, he parents never suspected anyone to steal from them. He laughed to himself the whole time he was looting the box.
In all actuality there wasn't all that much in the box. A few large bills and coins, but it was the jewels that would fund everything. Even those were in short supply. There was a sapphire in the shape of a Spade on a gold chain. It had been his father's wedding gift to his mother. That would defiantly hurt her if she lost it. He pulled it from the box and dropped it on top of the small pile of money. Next he pulled out a small pouch of random gems. None of them were very big, but his mother hoped that she could buy his sisters nice husbands with them. He was sure he could put them to better use.
Once he was done looting the box, the problem of what to carry everything in struck him. He obviously didn't have pockets, he didn't need clothes since he had yet to grow into any other form but his animal one. He looked around the bedroom, hoping to find something that would come in handy. Finally, he say a leather pouch on a leather cord hanging from the end of his parents bed. That should do the trick nicely. He moved to the bed and slipped his head through the cord before lifting it from the bed post. He went back to his treasure pile and loading everything into the pouch.
When he was finally finished, he left the looted box in the middle of the floor and left the house. Granted, he didn't have all that much funding, but it was enough to start at least. He knew how to spend money wisely, and he cold always sell the gems if he needed to. He laughed to himself the whole time he was leaving the small village he had grown up in. Now it was time to set the rest of his plans into motion. He would show them all when he was a Queen, and he wasn't going to let anything get in his way.
