This was not good. Why was he in a sack? No, this was definatly not good. The last thing he remembered was making eyes at his Jack's Doe then nothing. . . wait, hadn't his Jack said something about doing away with him? Great, just great, make eyes at the lady and get your ass tossed out of the warren. As he continued to wake, he started remembering hints of conversation. Something about sending him to a new Jack? No, that couldn't be right, he would have just been killed surely. Well, not time to think about that now, now he needed to figure out how to get out of this sack. He started wiggling around, bumping into what he hoped was a wall until he found the opening to the sack. It seemed to be tied tight. Great, more good news. He wiggled some more, using his paw to try to push the top of the sack open, only succeeding in getting said paw stuck through the opening. He couldn't pull it back in, nor could he push it further out to loosen the ties some more. Dammit.

Anubis sat at a small desk, tapping a pencil against the wood. It had been over a week since he had made the trade. His old, disgusting hisstor Doe for a leveret and some trinkets. He held no value for the Doe but he wasn't about to give her up for free was he? Damn thing had popped out a son, he sneered. It would be interesting to see if she did the same for her new Jack and what her treatment would be like after that. He cracked his neck and stood, moving towards the front of the Warren. The leveret should be dropped off soon, the items already had been. Anubis poked his head out the front door, it really was a nice day, perhaps he should throw open the door to let some. . What was this? He moved forwards just a bit. A sack? Wiggling with. . his eyes opened wide as he saw a small golden paw peek forwards from the sack. He sneered, oh what a lovely way to drop off a leveret. He slowly undid the cord and helped fold the cloth down around the rabbit. . . And what. . a lovely. . so golden. He stopped for a minute before standing up to his full height. "Are you the leveret?" As if this question would make sense if it wasn't. . Sure was a pretty little thing.

Mae blinked at the sudden change of light. Damn it had been dark in that sack. He raised his paws and rubbed at his eyes, moving them to blink a few more times. Now where the hell was he? He definatly wasn't in his home waren, but he was sure that he was in a warren of some type. Evidently his Jack had sent him to a new warren. Great. Served him right.
The voice at his back made him cringe. This wasn't going to be good. He bet that this Jack knew all about him making eyes at the Does. Probably would just lock him in some dark part of the warren were he wouldn't see another female again. . .or the light of day for that matter.
He turned, looking up and up at the Jack, his eyes widening as he did. Shiney! Not good. Mae liked shiney. Well, better answer the man. He cleared his throat, taking a moment to form just the right reply. Well. . .uh, yes, I suppose I am, Sire. Good to be polite, makes the punishment sting less.
[[OOC I can so totally see Mae playing off the fact that Anubis likes the pretty yellow and leading him on until he makes Jack, but I can also see Anubis screaming DEATH once he realizes what happened ;D]]

He watched with a slight amusement as the leveret rubbed at it's eyes. Oh yes the light could be quite annoying after being locked in a sack for a while. He wondered for a moment why the previous Jack would drop the lev off in this manner, instead of giving it a proper escort. What had it done at it's previous Warren? Well for now that didn't matter.
It was probably about time he showed the thing around. His eyes drifted over the golden fur and odd markings. Interesting, and quite striking really. He grinned slowly at the Sire. At least it had proper respect. His eyes wandered again, settling upon the softness of it's fur, at the small little tail. Humm, not such a bad one to acquire at all.
"Good, I'll show you around then you'll make me dinner for 5. No later, I expect some red wine as well." He turned and lead them through the front door.
(Anubis-in-head: *screams* WHY NOT FEMALE SO PRETTY DAMMIT)

So far, so good. Maybe his former Jack hadn't told this one aobut his little trasgration. That would definatly be a bonus, of course he would have to make sure to keep his eyes in his head where this Jack's Does were conserned. He couldn't help but notice the Jack's eyes roaming over him. He couldn't possibly think. . .oh dear.
He listened intently, not wanting to screw up his first five minutes in the warren. Right, dinner at five with red wine. I can handle that, Sire. The fact was that Maezia had not been a kitchen Leveret. He had been sent to work outside the warren when he had grown form a child. His former Jack didn't like that he was pretty. For some reason, he prefered the more plain Does, but Does was Does after all, Mae just liked them female.
He could appreciate beauty in any form, he had to admit that this Jack was easy on the eyes. He probably had some really pretty Does. . .bad train of thought.

Humm it did have some odd mannerisms though. A little bit of confidence under the subservient mask. He was good at reading others for ego, and this little thing had a bucket load. He saw potential, every Doe should be self-assured. He could stand when they would /cling/ to him like he was the very air itself. It was annoying as hell. He took care of them, kept them fed and clean. But they were there to serve him and have fun with when he saw fit. He wasn't there to coddle and keep them emotionally fed because they'd been neglected or some ridiculous other reason.
Anubis moved into the Warren and began to show him around. The differnt quarters. The unused rooms that would only need cleaning every so often. Tripsei's room, her. . issues with plants and such. So ridiculous really but she was the only Doe he had left. Hopefully that would change, again his eyes strayed to the leveret. Soon it had been shown around completely and he left the leveret alone in the kitchen.

He had paid attention as best he could on the tour. He had tried his bast to not activly search for any Does, but dammit, he couldn't help himself. He caught himself so many times, letting his eyes wonder that he had lost count. He would have to watch himself. He would hate to get killed for oogling the goods. His luck just couldn't run forever. One of these times he was going to get himself into it deep.
He knew that his new Jack had been eyeing him. That was not a good thing. The last thing he needed as the Jack thinking he could be a Doe. Wouldn't he be surprised when he found out that that just couldn't happen. That was definatly going to be a death sentence. He just had to bide his time until he figure out how he could become a Jack. Now that was something too look forward to.
When he found himself alone in the kitchen he started to get a little nerveous. He was definatly out of his element here. He could only remember ever being in a kitchen once, and that was when he was young. Well, he would just have to make do now wouldn't he. He scavenged around, wondering what the Jack liked to eat. He should have thought to act, but then again, that may have been a bad move. He found some things for salad. Well that would work for starters. Hmm, red wine had been requested. He looked for that next. When he found it, he opened it so that it could breath, then put it on ice to chill. There, that was out of the way. Now for the main course. Maybe he could just bulk up the salad. Some Jacks didn't like meat after all.
Once he had the meal ready, he headed to the dining area to serve the Jack.

Anubis had sat waiting for a while. It wasn't as if he expected the meal instantaneously, he had said five after all. But he had wanted some quiet time to think. He needed a leveret. His Warren wouldn't run properly without one. Well it could, but that was unheard of. He couldn't start harassing the little golden thing until he had a replacement leveret in place. Damn shame. He could just imagine it. That soft golden body beneath him, with a golden mane to match. What a pretty Doe it would make.
For now, he'd be patient. He steepled his fingers as he thought. He had no more extraneous Warren members to trade away for another leveret. He also did not have the means, or items, to make up the worth of a good worker. His fingers made small circles around his temples as he thought, too hard. Things would work out, he knew it, he just had to be patient. But that leveret. . .
He was quiet as the little rabbit entered the room with food and wine. But. . .
"Why. . .is the wine on ice?" He asked coolly plucking it from the wine chiller. Tension sang through his body. Ice was for white, or the occasional bottle of ice wine he managed to procure from Solandria. How could the leveret possibly think it alright to chill red? His fists clenched up a little.
.. "Don't do that again." He waved the leveret from the room with extreme control to not lash out. Wouldn't do to scare a potential Doe. He ate his supper in peace and waited for it to return to clear away the plates. By then he'd calmed down.

Mae's eyes widened at his blunder. It was what he had been taught, but he should have known better, his former Jack hadn't been the most cultured thing in the world. Dammit, screwing up already. He cowered away and made a dash for it when he was dismissed. He sat in the hall trying to catch his breath and to make his heart settle down a bit. He had seen the clenched fist. The last thing he wanted was the Jack to start messing up his pretty face. He would definatly have to remember that. Don't chill the wine.
He waited about fourty five minutes before her returned to clear away the dishes. That should be plenty of time to enjoy the meal and the ruined wine, and maybe calm down a bit. He scooted into the room, his head down and eyes everted. If he had learned one thing, it was how to be subserviant when he needed to be. I am sorry for my blunder, Sire. I will not chill the wine in the future. Once he had finished, he started to clear the dishes away and carry them back to the kitchen.

Anubis picked at the salad through dinner, it wasn't too bad really. Perhaps he'd have to show the leveret the fresh veggies out back. They were so hard to grow in Torquehelm, without proper Sun, but it was the best he could manage. The wine, well the wine was dismal. Anubis wasn't a stupid Jack, and he would explain to the leveret. If it happened again though. . .
He mentally sighed as the pretty little thing came in head down. Good, it showed proper respect but.
"Come here a moment. . " He said more gently to the leveret. He would explain, only once, and he'd do it right now.
"Before you take off with those dishes, there's something a need to explain." He said, voice even and calm. That was better. Definitely no need to scare off a potential Doe, but he wouldn't allow it to get away anything that was unacceptable either.
