Heike slipped out of the room shortly after the pots were placed on the stove. He had to tend to the drinks before he checked on anything else. The Czar had a specific set of drinks that he wanted served that evening.
Once he brought out the cart from the closet he returned to the kitchen to fill it with the proper drinks. Heike stared at Zuli for one long and painful moment. Begrudgingly he decided that he would offer her some help. "Do you need any help fixing things. It looks like everything is going to explode in here next time I leave,"
Five minutes. He would stay for five minutes and then pack the drinks and run to the dining room. Dinner couldn't start late. That would go against everything the Czar stood for. The rabbit sighed as he waited for Zuli's response. At least he wasn't getting a headache.

Zulimar stared at them absently until he came back, at which point she jumped a bit--it wasn't her fault she hadn't expected him to actually, y'know, come back.
She stared back at him, an eyebrow raised indulgently. "Heike, come on. I think I can manage to cook dinner without burning the house down. I did do vaguely productive things once in a while at my old warren, okay?" She sighed, and adjusted something on the stove in front of herr. "Look, I'm sorry if I come off as annoying and stupid, but I promise that I don't need a babysitter," Silently she added 'most of the time', "I'll be fine. Go do.. whatever it was you were planning on doing." She then shooed him out and actually started dinner.

An hour later the dinner was ready (aside from a burnt potato or two that she set aside), plated, and ready for someone to come and pick it up. The leveret was sitting on the same stool, idly twisting a knife around in her hand and looking rather satisfied with herself.

Heike rolled his eyes but didn't say much of anything. After retrieving the drinks he left. And went to fix the proper bar for the dinner. At least he could keep everything properly chilled in this cart. Thanks heavens for buying decent supplies from passing Corvies. They were good for a lot of things to make life easier. At least Master wasn't opposed to such a thing.

Heike returned after arranging everything and having a nice long talk with his sister. Grabbing the other cart he slipped it into the kitchen. Everyone would be waiting for dinner to be served. Zuli and Nadja could deal with the clean up while he passed out from lack of sleep.
It would all work out in the end, he hoped. "You did a nice job," He said cheerfully as he looked over the dinner that she had prepared. He hoped it tasted as well as it looked. He had very little doubt it would taste bad, but he had been surprised more than once.
