((OH! I knew I was forgetting something!)) Night time would usually be when no woman wants to be in a bar. Maybe it was because of the reputation that some people did. After all, that's when some of the less desirable things go on... such as drugs. Goodness knows what the legality was in the city, but Zuberi played on the safe side to roll a certain grass into a fine cigarette. Clawed handpaws expertly rolled and packed the Midori weed before licking it closed and lighting it. The drag calmed her immediately, releasing tense muscles and the aches and pains of today's work. Her tired muscles felt as if she might have tracked the entire street system three times before night brought its dark blanket down over the city. Now though, would be her time, and at that moment she'd enjoy her weed in the privacy of a dark corner. She smoked casually as if it were tobacco. After all, she merely wanted to relax, and not be out of her mind in a Smoke Dream. She didn't consider herself habitual, but for her particular village the Midori grass was as important in her culture as the land itself. It was sometimes hard though to find those who shared her like for the stuff that wasn't an entirely unsavory character. Some had been looking for the stuff that would leave a person staring blankly for hours in a Dream, but unless she was looking for a spiritual experience she merely wanted the kind that would make her relax. Idly, she watched a group drinking themselves silly, a smirk curling her lips. She never could understand why people liked the stuff; it tasted like something the Corvistowne would cook up(for all she knew, they probably did) and made a person sick more often than made them feel good. No, she'd stay away from alcohol, as well as most other drugs. So little of it was made from natural ingredients with a natural potency, and those that -were- natural actually was a poison. She'd never heard of anyone dying from Midori grass. Hah! What a cynic she became when she smoked! Maybe it was more like she became more insightful. Less naive.

He stepped intot he bar with quite a bit of trepidation. Anytime his eyes touched someone new, he flinched away, which often made him look at someone else. The ram was on the verge of bolting already and when he looked at a particular feline, in a group of others getting exceedingly drunk, he blanched even paler than his cream-toned face and he blindly darted away. Cloven hooves brought him by the side of the woman and his deep purple eyes fell on the Midori resident. Again he cringed as though someone had struck him, but, after that initial blow, he seemed to calm. "Excuse me... Is this seat taken?" He gestured carefully to one of the other seats at her table. He seemed nearly desperate to be away from the flow of Cards in the room.

Zuberi's gaze followed a new figure through the pub, exhaling a long drag as she took note of his very different demeanor. He didn't seem to be having a good time at all. In fact, he seemed terrified of all that was going on around him. Why then, did he think it a good idea to go to one of the shadiest places to be at this time a night? He probably didn't notice that she had been watching him. For that reason she was somewhat surprised when he turned her way.
He had cringed at the very sight of her, and she might have taken offense if she had not seen the way he had acted by just coming into this place. He was so dainty.. quite a pretty little hooved creature. She smiled warmly as he came nearer, inquiring about the seat opposite of her.
"Not at all, friend. I can't blame a mon for needing to take solace in a dark corner."
She half considered offering the goat a smoke, only to realize that he didn't really have the hands for it. Oh, the joys of being a squirrel! Her ability to roll and easily smoke the herb was one that was envied by many a quadruped Midori.
She eyed him a moment, curious. "I hope you don't mind me prying.. but you don't seem the sort to be hangin' round these parts at this time o' night. What roused you to leave the comfort from home an' hearth to such a dank and unforgivin' place?"

Elongated ears flicked curiously backwards at the Midori's words; he didn't often see those from her region and it was certainly a pleasure, now that he had seen her, to be in her company. It took a moment, however, before he could fully understand her through her accent. Once through that first glance, he seemed like a rather shy personality, a shrinking violet for lack of a better term.
The ram gave the cute squirrel a very shy smile and, of course, was fully unaware that she'd seen him cross the room. He tried so hard to cover his initial reaction to people... but his Knowledge made that difficult. Very difficult. So he simply carried on as best he could afterwards, as Ezra had told him to do.
Tonight, however, he was here for respite. "I was hoping for a change for my mind," he admitted quietly. "I'd been told that bars can give that sometimes, a freedom, however brief, from one's current life."

Zuberi listened intently, giving a nod at his words. "Freedom for some. Escape for others. Honestly I don' think many of them will be too happy in the morn with how they be tossing back the alcohol." She watched the other people a moment, frowning as some overly drunk woman stood up on the table and began to dance. Zuberi was sure it wouldn't be long before she came crashing down.. in more ways than one. "Who knows why -they- be here, why they think they lives so bad that drinkin' be the way to solve it."
Taking another long drag from her smoke, she turned her attention back to the ram. "But now ya got me curious. What be so bad in your own life that you got to come here to escape it?" With how anxious the ram was, she suspected that his demeanor may very well be a culprit in his... issues, but then again there was the issue with what caused it in the first place. Beaten as a child? Who knows? Chances were that he might not even want to share.. but then again what fun would that be?

Darius gave a small, thoughtful nod at her words, letting them roll over him as her peculiar smoke did the same. It seemed like she spent a lot of time in deep meditation on the subject. Perhaps she was a regular here. That would give plenty of time for her to think on such things and he found that interesting. He liked to just contemplate people and even their motives and things. He didn't always follow them very well, but he did like to think about it. Perhaps she did as well?
Oh, how to explain his need to escape though? Dark eyes were thoughtful as he silently contemplated how to best answer her question. It was difficult to say; he had too many things that weren't for public knowledge.
"There are.... some troubles when I first see people." He brushed it off lightly; it was hard for him to bear, but it was his duty and life to do so. "But that is of no consequence. Tonight I just hoped for... something freeing."

[OOC: Hey you guys! Mind if I join? If you guys rather me not, I'm happy to just delete my post XD;;;
He wont be around for a very long time either...maybe just a convo or something...cause...he's got stuff to get back to...in a different rp to come XD;;;;] Acheron had needed to leave. Things had gotten slightly awkward at Vana's house, where he and his...well...he didn't really have a noun for him...Anatolius stayed together. An old friend of An's had come over in an absolute fit of tears. He didn't really know this snake friend of his, though he had seen him from time to time, and he just didn't feel comfortible staying there to attempt to comfort him. It was a him right? He couldn't tell if it was...or if it was just a very manly sounding woman. He was slightly annoyed about the situation, before the snake had come barging in wailing like a banchee he and his....well...Anatolius had been having a little fun. It totally killed the mood. But the snake needed his time to cry about whatever it was he/she was crying about...and Anatolius needed to comfort a good friend. So here he finally was, drawn back to the place were he and Anatolius first met. It was strange. He hadn't been back here since then, but right now, he needed a drink, something to calm his jelousy. Was that what it was? He thought so. Oh how petty. He shook his head before entering. He looked around, and observed that the majority of the individuals here today were occupying the corners. He sighed a bit to himself. He was going to become some sort of target now, he could already feel it. He just didn't want to sit next to anyone or chat. He just needed a drink...and some time to think and let them have their time alone. He strolled up to the bar, where the table was lowered so that for legged animals could sit there. "Rum, please." he ordered before sitting and waiting for his drink to arrive. It was then that his nostrils inhaled the distinct scent of...was that Weed? He turned his head a bit, to where a Midori Squirrel sat smoking what he could only guess was the Weed he was smelling, and a rather anxious looking Avington Ram.

Aha, too late, he made eye contact! Zuberi caught the eyes of a particular hooved creature across the bar, his surly attitude showing out amongst the more active bar-goers in the room. He was looking over though, for that moment, with a keen interest, nostrils flaring as he scented the air. Caught? He seemed more curious than anything, and looked like a male down on his luck. Personally, she found his horns and his chains unnerving, but she pushed those personal thoughts back and flashed a smile at the antelope, a way of inviting him over. It seemed both of these types needed a bit of the Midori Weed! Pulling out a small clay pot which she could burn the Grass in for all to enjoy, she packed some in there and lit it up, snuffing her own smoke out and putting it to the side.
Now, she looked to the ram, giving a smile. "These herbs have some powerful magic behind them, friend. Sit and enjoy the smoke and maybe it will calm ya nerves... I think I'll be inviting that other hooved friend over d'ere here too.. but no worries.. relax" She smiled, trying to soothe any nerves that may arise from the thought of more company and flashed another smile to the antelope at the bar. Maybe if she kept it up, he'd feel obligated to come by? It would probably be better for him to come over anyways.. looking so glum over there, and Zuberi was in a kind and sweet mood that may very much be from the Weed she had just smoked.

Ladarius followed her with his gaze, until his eyes lit upon the antelope at the bar and about four others he hadn't seen before. The ram paled noticeably and dropped dark eyes, trying to stymy his need to physically flinch. He'd been trying to get this reaction under control... at least it generally only happened the first time he met people.
His eyes stared at the table, following the scars and marks that pitted the surface. He tried very hard to not think about how those might have gotten there; the thought of dying and death bothered the ram, but so often that's exactly how his thoughts turned. It was a quandry that he had no answer for.
He let himself carefully sniff a few times at the strange and rather pungent odour of... wotever it was the woman was smoking. So far he didn't feel any more relaxed, but he patiently waited as she had told him to do. He really had nothing better to do and didn't really want to make another trip to the cemetery.

He realized to late that he had been staring. When he finally had, so had the Midori Squirrel. At first he just shyly looked away. He had never known any Midorians before, and he really couldn't be sure of what their temperment was like, but the smell of the weed wafting his way reminded him that they couldn't be so bad. Weed tended to calm people down. They were probably pretty mellow, but that was assuming they all smoked Weed. Could he make that assumption? It seemed a little rude to. He had only smoked once in his life, the weed from Midori, during the time when he was homeless before Anatolius took him in. It had been with a random group of homeless people he had been passing, who were obviously homeless due to spending all their money on drugs, rather then just...not having money. They had been in a rather chill mood themselves, and he had been curious, and so very similarly to this, he had been invited to join in. Ever since that day he had wished he had money of his own, so he could get some more. It was probably for the best that he only made enough money each day to feed himself megerly instead.
Though now that he was in a better situation...it didn't seem weird to want to partake to him. Especially since he could really use it right now. He needed to feel better, and he knew this to be one of the safest surefire ways. Or at least, so he heard. He didn't really think filling your lungs with smoke was exactly good for your health...She was inviting him over with that smile right? It seemed she was. As she continued to look at him, and exchanged her rolled up joint for a pipe that would be much easier for a group to enjoy, he assumed he was being asked over.
He obliged, first telling the bar tender that he was changing location before heading over to the two. He kept his head low to the ground, so that the chains on each side of his mouth connected to his knees wouldn't rip out of his skin as he walked. Golden eyes looked back at the Squirel and ram, and a small shy smile graced his lips. He thanked An secretly...before him, he would never willingly go up to some strangers. The Ram however, looked like he was going to be sick at the sight of him, but he pushed the worry it caused to the side. "Hello.." he said politely to them both when he finally got to the table, seeming unable to say much else. He couldn't help still being shy, even if he had been brave enough to come over.
