Rocky's eyes widened. Body snatchers? What the hell were these children talking about. He hesitated a moment after Rhi nudged the papers again. He wasn't sure if he should take this as some sort of joke or not. Picking up the paper he browsed through the words. It was written in horribly scratchy Corvie and Common, alternating between the two languages.
And what was written down was very disturbing, even for the Raccoon. Why would someone do such a thing. "Do you have any idea what you've stumbled upon?" he wasn't really asking, it was more like speaking out loud.
Rosemary, however, replied. "No, do tell!"
"It looks like someone is harvesting organs and putting them in bodies with different blood types and... trying to make them work without a rejection. And quite a few awful things." He flipped one of the pages. "It's one of those nutcases trying to find the secret of life."
"Oh! A mad scientist then!" Rosemary's tail wagged a bit. They might just have to go back then.

Rhiannon and Rosemary were a pair of tail-wagging canines, and Rhi even let out a small whine of excitment. That woman had really been crazy, and now she didn't feel at all bad for pegging her with a rock or two. Or three. Numbers didn't matter, all that mattered was that she was crazy, clearly!
The hybrid leapt up onto the table, staring down at the paperwork and then up at the raccoon, her face bright and excited. "Do you think that the people they've forced into this were willing? Probably not, hmmmmm? I just can't imagine someone being that weird." she said hurriedly, glancing down at her companion. They had to go back and find out more, but...
"We're just children, doctor." she said, looking back up at the raccoon, her ears flipping back, imitating the look Hadrian got when he really wanted something. "Something needs to be done for these poor people, but we can't go alone. It's be far too dangerous, wouldn't it?"

Rocky was easily suckered into the puppy eyes. Especially when Rosemary joined in from behind Rhi. Crap. Crap! He wasn't made for such things, but neither were children. Then again he was built almost like a tank... he could probably take care of himself in need be.
"All right. Show me where you got these papers from. If there's anyone left alive they'll need immediate medical attention." Not like anyone would be alive after such an experiment. People probably did go willingly if they wanted their life extended.
Rosemary nearly hopped straight up in the air and did a back flip. "I know exactly where we need to go!" She said cheerfully. What a wonderful ability she had, as long as she knew where she wanted to go she would never lose her way. It was perfect for her girl like her who was never going to to settle down in one place.

Rhiannon's grin at Rocky's affrimative answer was wide and delighted, and was nearly a perfect copy of the one her father so often wore. Today was going to be a lot of fun if things kept proceeding in this direction, and she would do whatever she possibly could to to keep them moving in this direction. "And then we can shut their asses down, right?" the girl cheered, grinning up at the raccoon. They definitely chose a good person to help them out.
She looked him over again, feeling even more satisfied. The man was a freaking tank! He wouldn't have any trouble helping them out, she was sure. She'd bring some more rocks with her, just in case things got ugly.
"You've just gotta keep up, Mister Doctor." the girl grinned as she followed Rosemary's wagging tail out the door, her footsteps light and excited.

Rocky was now officially worried. What on earth were parents teaching their children these days? Heavens, he was one to talk. He shook that off quickly and trotted after the girls. He didn't even know their names, and they obviously knew his name by the front door.
Rosemary got to the point. Without hesitation she took all the proper turns. It didn't take long for them to get to their destination. This time they were going to use the front door. The wolf-squirrel was hoping that the woman was still out cold in the other alleyway she purposely bypassed.
Looking back at Rhi and Rocky she smiled. "I think Dr. Rocco should go first. By the by, my name is Rosemary, it's a pleasure to meet you, sir."
"It's a bit late for introductions," Rocky murmured as he came forward. His hand hovered over the door a moment before he knocked.
And the door swung open without protest.

The hybrid glanced around the alley, then grinned at Rosemary. Oh, they had forgotten to intoduce themselves. It had just skipped her mind completely, what with all of the excitement of finally finding out what was going on. "Rhiannon. There's always time for introductions!"
Rhiannon hesitated outside, scooping a rather large rock into her mouth, gripping it tightly. She wanted to make sure they kept safe, just in case there was something that even the strangely tauren raccoon couldn't handle. He was weird, and pretty much represented all of Corvistowne in her mind - weird wings that just didn't match, freakishly weird body structure... And all of which were most likely self-inflicted! Why would people want to do that to themselves?
Well, she had to admit that it looked pretty cool.
The hybrid bristled slightly, the fur on the back of her neck standing up straight. Her tail puffed up slightly as well, and she glanced into the darkness, curious as to what would be waiting for them there.

Rocky took a deep breath before entering the building. It was far from pristine, with dust clinging to the air. It was as if they walked into a place that had been neglected for years. Or at least, the front end of the building ones. With one last deep breath the raccoon crossed the threshold. Breaking and entering was one thing to add to his list of things never to do again.
Rosemary jumped past the man now that everything was clear. She lead the way to the trap door. Opening it up she pointed downwards. Now that she thought about it... the man probably wasn't going to fit properly down those stairs. He was painfully tall and probably not made for steep inclines. Well, he had an animal form so that wouldn't be much of a problem.
Rocky gave the girl a sour look. Changing into his animal form he hurried down the stairs. Once he was on level ground again he changed to his biped form.
Rosemary was directly behind him. The room was almost just how they left it.... something was off though.

Rhiannon followed behind them closely, but found herself watching very closely around them, looking for any sign of activity other than their own. She didn't see anything, but then she hadn't been paying the closest attention when they first entered the building. She'd been far, far too excited to actually pay attention to the state of the building beyond noticing that the place was a complete dump.
She flowed down the stairs with a strange grace, tail raised and wagging when she reached the bottom. The bright lights reflected off of the oils of her fur, making her shine. She looked around the room. The dead people were still there, no zombies. That was a good sign, for sure.
When Rosemary joined her, she glanced at the other canine, raising an eyebrow. "Something feels... different," she murmured around the rock. What on earth was it?

"You're right," Rosemary said. Her ears pulled back with tension. Now she wasn't going to let herself stay unarmed, tank or not. With as much effort as she could muster she summoned her sword, catching it in her mouth.
Rocky was preoccupied with looking around. So many corpses.... what was this person thinking? Surely someone would notice that these people were going missing. His eyes fell on the figure or a rather feline woman, also a Corvie. She was laying on a slab, uncovered and still fully dressed. She must have been... fresh.
He walked forward. Rosemary's eyes widened when she saw where he was walking. That was the woman that they had met in the alley! If she wasn't the one responsible for all of this than someone else was in the house!
Rocky reached out and checked the woman's post. His hand shot back. "Oh my goodness she's still alive!"
But she looked stone cold dead, and made no movements.

There was a quiet thump as the rock that Rhiannon was holding dropped from her mouth, her yellow eyes widening slightly. What in the four suits was going on here?! She was at a complete loss.
Spreading her wings and flapping slightly, she leapt up onto the table, looking from the face of the... whatever state she was in feline and back up at the raccoon's face. "W-we found her in the street before," Rhiannon said urgently, looking back at the very, very still woman. How could she still be alive? "I hit her in the head with a r-rock a few times, but she was fine when we left, just unconscious..." Had this been her fault, somehow?
"She has connections with these people, though. We found the address in her pocket." the girl seemed to calm, eyes hardening. The woman had probably gotten whatever she deserved.
