Considering the subject hasn't come up for three years I think everyone might have assumed Wonderland. I totally did. *shrugs* But I just wanted to let you know Callypso that you don't have to go through the Q&A thread page by page, it's been condensed (with the exception of the last five pages) here: sod.projectnos.net/faq.htmlsod.projectnos.net/faq2.html

It would just make sense for there to be at least one "common" word for the world though, right? It seems silly to keep saying, "the land" or odd euphemisms for the whole. What would the SDs themselves say? (I hope I'm not being too ridiculous... it just seems like there should be a name... haha) This is a Fertile land and we will thrive... We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... This Land. I think we should call it... your grave! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Sorry for the off-topic-ness. I can not brains today.

And yeah I was actually wondering that too Callypso. XD;; So thanks for asking this.

Kari: Oh, I know. I've delved deeply into the awesomeness that is the Q&A compilation (you rock, btw!), but me being me, I was trying to skim through the whole thing to see if anything was missed. Not that I'm saying you missed anything, but rather sometimes I'm anal like that... XD
Lucca: Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's been awkward in some of my threads because I'm like... the... the... world?? O.o;;
Harps: Niiiiice. I LOL'd.
I guess Nat will have to give us the final verdict?

Yeah, I'd say the final verdict would be Nat's. She might not be able to get to this until late next week, however, unless she gets to it tonight because she'll be out of town and blindingly exhausted. xD My guess is Wonderland. Oh, and Harps. You made me giggle. Hard.

Huh. Can you guys believe I'd never even thought about this?
I could either make it a poll, a small contest, or just call it Wonderland. Who's thinking what?

I think part of the beauty is that it's nameless XD It's one of those unknowns. Perhaps all the realms have their own word for it.

I think if it has to be named, Wonderland or some simple variation would be fitting. I totally agree with Nako about it being beautiful that the world remains nameless. It's kind of amazing how the RP has been around for so long and we haven't needed a name for the world. And Bee's idea of having a different name from each region would be interesting since the Earth has a variety of different names in different languages.

The historian/factual-grubbing part of my brain is screaming at me that of course it has to have a name, but the other part of me is inclined to agree with Bee, Nako and Kari (even though I'm the one that asked the question). I think for all intents and purposes (if nothing else is agreed upon), I'll start using a blank to refer to ___________. I think it really will be more magical if the world remains "nameless".
....
But now I have more questions that are entirely unrelated... XD
Do the Realms have any impact on skin coloration/tone in the SDs human form, or is that merely a personal player preference? Ex: Xiven and Zuberi have darker skin- but is that just because it seemed more "fitting" to their characters or because it is more common to those regions?
Thanks... <3

From what I know, I think the darker skin-tone is realm specific, yeah. <3 And it's certainly genetic. There are variations, of course, but for the most part some realms will have darker-skinned human forms. Like Boggies are fairly tanned, for the most part. -kicks Pale-
