I so totally asked about the skin tones being hereditary and in general at some point and never put it in the FAQ. Because no one seemed to be interested in it.
Torquehelms and Corvies were generally supposed to have darker skin tones. Skin tones are also hereditary so Zuberi and Xiven's kids should inherit darker skin tones. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule.
And really, I would like to think Xiven skin tone isn't "fitting" so much as just is because of hereditary and such.

Darker skin tones are more likely in some areas than others, but you can request your character to be unusual if you like. For example: Torques, Corvies, and Durrams tend to have darker skin tones. Boggies, Midori's, and Morganberries tend to be more bronzed in differing ways. However, it's also not uncommon to get a ghostly pale "nerd-white" version of any of these, if preferred.
Yes, the skin tones are most assuredly hereditary. <3

Okay so...I suppose Satra might be able to answer this. Because it's a bog question. I'm just REALLY confused about something...namely, the masks. Do the Boggies need to wear them in their region, only outside it, or both? Because it seems to indicate all sorts of different things...and sometimes there is talk of Boggies being able to take their mask off when they go back to their region...but THEN Pale's info says if he ever visits the Bog he would need to WEAR Rhi's old mask...
So yeah. Confused Lucca is very confused. XD;;

That is because Pale was not born in the Bog. Or.. really born at all. <3 He's what we like to call a retarded case of dumb.
According to Nat, 9 times out of 10 a Boggie will need their mask outside of the home region due to their unique body chemistry. A lot of the Bogs on the board right now don't need masks as they are Hearts with a poison immunity that renders them able to breathe airs without trouble. Inside of the Bog, that unique chemistry allows them to breathe perfectly normally, even though Bog air would normally give just about anyone else serious trouble (and they would need to wear a mask inside the Bog).
Blah. <3

Okay...so...then why do Bog people go crazy if they can breathe the air fine? XD Or do they go crazy from like...the poison in the water or something.
Sorry for all the questions, just curious. >_>

Poison in the water, poison in their blood, poison in the air, poison in the food... it just goes to their head more slowly than it might an outsider, who would just... die. XD

This is another one that has probably been asked before, but I didn't see it in Kari's compilation and the "search" button didn't help me at all, soooo....
Are there specific types of "accents" that can generally be associated to the various Realms? Midori is a no-brainer, and the Veldt (based on the posts I've seen of Bee's little lady) seems to be a form of cockneyed English, but what about the others?
I've seen "French" associated with Torquehelm and "Russian" with the Solandrian Glacier, but the others are a bit of a mystery.
Thanks!

In my head I tend to associate Kahmden with more of a country accent, but not the Southern booming one. XD; I think of Vessie's relatives that way, anyways.

Yarrow are sometimes played with French accents. There's no true hard 'n fast rule beyond the fact that Solandria = Russia.
