ID: SD221 Name: Khloris (Rhis) Suit: Spades Rank: Joker Gender: Female Animal: Feline/Vermin (Mouse) Region: Corvistowne Dealer: Kasatsu Parents: Eilwyn x Elyse Notes: A thin spiral of thorned vines grows from her neck and weaves down her body. They complement the large and feathery-looking leaves that sprout from her scalp. These mutations of hers need some sunlight or they will wither and wilt, causing her slight pain and nausea. She was affected by the contents of the needle, which have caused her to become almost evanescent when the sun is highest in the sky. She is never quite “all there” and her back end is almost always insubstantial, though her head always remains solid. She is a chemical Corvistowneian with an extreme interest in ghosts and how one’s spirit sickens with malice. Joker's Ability: She can take on the form of any other card except for another Joker. Her eyes remain the same always, however, and if she stays in another's form for more than a day, she will automatically return to her own form. Joker’s Ability: Once per week, she is capable of granting invisibility and intangibility (together only, not separately) to one other person for five hours. The only one during this period able to hear, see, or touch them is the Joker herself. Child Form:

Spades: The Paw Spades are the second most common Suit, though unlike Clubs they can only occur in a breeding if one of the parents is a Spade. Spades are quick on their feet and reliable as far as their representation in Court proceedings and their tendency to follow the rules laid out for them. Spades are still not seen as being what one would desire in society; though they are above the Clubs, they are still of the same color and are often mocked by others of higher ranking. Higher up Spades, mostly face cards, are treated with the same respect that anyone would give to a ruler, and aren't frowned upon in the other Courts because of their noble rank.
Their representation, the Paw, refers to both their fleetness of foot and their general personality. They tend to be "soft" in their punishments and treatments of the lower class. They are therefore represented with that symbol, as opposed to one more closely representing weaponry.
Basic Magical Ability: All Spades can run up to 40mph in sprints and 20mph for up to an hour in extended runs, depending on their individual staying power.
Joker: Jokers are almost an enigma in the society of the Cards; it was once believed that they didn’t even exist! Unlike other Cards, who have their number and suit emblazoned over their left breast, Jokers have no mark, just smooth skin or fur. Their ability, however, is astounding. Jokers can take on the form and appearance (including voice) of any other Card, regardless of Suit, Rank, Form or gender. The only difference between them and the actual Card at that point is the lack of insignia and memories. Jokers are incredibly rare and cannot change their rank, and other Cards cannot become Jokers. In that respect they are like Aces, though Jokers can mate with anything excluding outside Courts. Jokers are tenacious, mysterious, and loyal. Having one in a Court is certainly something to give the ruler bragging rights.
Felines: Felines are a common breed. They are found everywhere you look and their lifestyles make it easy for them to stretch themselves to the furthest reaches of the kingdoms. Not to be confused with the Court of Cats (who are the size of a house cat), the Felines of the realm are about the size of tigers and range from sleek Siamese to bulky alley cats in shape. Vermin: Vermin are easy to locate and, even though their name may bring other thoughts, they are generally quite sweet and docile. They live anywhere that food is plentiful and tend to stay away from the Selkie Lakes. They usually look like rats or mice, though gerbils are not unheard of.
Corvistowne: Residents are usually black with gold eyes and electric and/or neon colored patterning in erratic stripes, splashes, and/or circles.
Those who hail from Corvistowne are an odd bunch. They tend to be erratic in behavior and excessively creative. Most members consider themselves to be inventors of some sort, and they are not above experimenting on other members...or on themselves. Corvistowne members are usually quite intelligent, though they may lack common sense in the way they view the world. The town itself is poorer than most, with many buildings appearing dilapidated and poorly cared for. If one can worm their way into the confidence of a member, they may be able to bear witness to the underground labs of Corvistowne. Many are small and cramped; those with power in Corvistowne have setups that are rumored to make the Queen of Hearts slightly nervous.
