Ophelia studied both children in turn, taking in their appearances and the look of age around them. They were about the same age, and of similar age to the young Pravus. Yes, definitely a hoard of Orphans but if these orphans were anything like Pravus then there was someone looking for them as well. Ophelia would keep an eye peeled to that knowledge.
And then, to her surprise, the little mixed breed not only announced the truth of this situation but a common connection between them. This little one knew Silvanus? Ah, well, of course that made sense. Silv had always seemed the caring sort and if a mass of orphans had been set loose he would have been among the first to try and give one a warm home. Slowly a fond smile touched her maw.
"That unmistakable am I?" Really, you had to be blind or an idiot to mistake someone else for the wonderfully unusual Ophelia. "Yes, I am Ophelia and Silvanus's friend. Then I'll take that to mean you're a friend of his as well?"
Slowly her green orbs lifted, searched the area around them and then dropped down onto the Selkian. Silvanus was no where to be seen and if that was the case, Ophelia could assume while the children might not think they were lost than their adoptive parents surely were 'misinformed'.
"Well now, I fear I'm at a loss... The both of you know my name, but I don't know yours."
As most everyone knew: the best way to be found was to stay in one place. And in honor of that knowledge, Ophelia intended to keep the little ones before her until Silvanus at very least arrived, or if the one the little doe called her parents arrived...but the mixie would stay with her until Silvanus was found. She might've been an eccentric sort, but she was still had enough moral fiber to know she ought to keep an eye on her friend's charge.

Igal shook his head slightly at the female's first question. "I don't think Silvanus wants to be a girl. I think he was just blessed with a fine name that fit him. You shall see if you ever meet him. He doesn't look like one who would have a stereotypical boy name." big words for such a small fry. Igal was certainly adultish, but even he had to slow down to pronounce the word 'stereotypical'. Maybe there was hope for a childhood for him yet. He continued to answer her questions about Silvanus, she certainly was rather curious about him, though he supposed she was just being polite more then anything else. He wasn't giving much topics to continue a conversation with, "I don't think Silvanus has a choice of if he likes 'His Buttheadedness' or not." it was a short and honest answer, it didn't take a two year old to know what would happen if the Queen was ever displeased with anyone. Granted he had spared their lives...but it had happened to them.
Igal ignored her last comment, not because he didn't care, though to be honest...he probably wouldn't as he was content with the rank he was and couldn't really understand why a fellow jack would give up a free ride for responcibilities, but because suddenly Ophelia appeared, asking them if they were lost, and him giving his answer to her, as well as his question. It seemed she was indeed the woman that Silvanus had mentioned to him as a friend. Igal looked idolly over to Astyana, who was puffing out her chest, trying to be intimidating. If he didn't have such a dispassionate personality, he might have chuckled, she looked very commical, "Don't worry Astyana, this is Ophelia, a friend of Silvanus."
He then turned back to the female, tilting his head slightly. It seemed both him and Astyana were safe with this doe. Silvanus was right however...she was a bit...odd...looking. This didn't really put him off though, he was odd to, and he was just born that way. His rat-like tail swished back and forth in a content manner, his long flowing hair licking the ground as the tail moved. "I'm a 'friend' of Silvanus', yes. He is caring for me until I grow old enough to care for myself." his monotone voice was somehow calm.
"My name is Igal."
Silvanus was on a mission, and was rather worried about Igal. This might be the only case where he didn't show immidiate politeness to anyone, though he supposed the female would understand. Besides, once they had found both their young ones, he would not be adverce to talking...and then finally giving a formal introduction as was his custom. Boy, Igal was lucky that Silvanus wasn't the type to act on anger. Truth be told, Silvanus was feeling slightly furious, which was a rather foriegn feeling to him. He never got angry it seemed. He chocked it up to him being extremely worried, and not really understanding why Igal would run away.
Silvanus' head swong wildly around as the usual crowds wandered past in large clumping groups. He could hardly see the ground, how was he suppose to find young children! He looked over to the strapped up female, a look in his eyes that said clearly 'Do you see anything?'.

She was pleased with the answers she was given, eager to meet this male who had a 'fine name that fit him'... she took that to mean that certain males could pull of a girl name without sounding Or looking Or even wanting to be a girl. Interesting. If she had been given a boy name she would have been very displeased indeed. She noted the words he used with curiosity, only one or two flying over her head to be replaced with smaller words as she put the sentence together in a way that made sense for her.
She understood the need to follow (loosely) the Queen, even if you were not of his court. Though, this was why she felt the need to become of a higher rank, to show the world that there could be nice rulers. Little did she know, the current Queen of her suit was just that, but Astyana was convinced that all of the currently reigning Queens must be rude and mean, and therefore not suited to be in the position they were in. The child's logic was a dangerous one to be introduced into the world, but perhaps in time she would grow to understand how much more efficient it was to rule in fear than love. "Nobody does, really. I think we learned that fairly well..." Her voice reached the apathetic droll that Igal's usually resided in, obviously she had fallen victim to cruel memories for the moment. It was shaken off quickly enough, however.
Astyana was not aware of how silly she might have looked, but when promised that this doe... snake... thing would do no harm, she allowed herself to relax slightly. Why was everyone so strange looking? Was she the strange one? This was a confusing time to be the only simple creature around. Igal seemed more comfortable around her, and she understood why. They were alike, in that they seemed to be pieced together from two different things. While it made Astyana slightly uncomfortable to be the only 'normal' one in the group, she found it kind of intriguing after a while. "Alright... I'll trust you on this one. She better be nice."
"I'm Astyana." She said simply, her tone still a little guarded. Suddenly she remembered Syraelia... boy would she be upset if she knew Yana was out talking to strangers...
------------------------
His anger seemed to radiate, which instilled a strange aura of calmness around the female beside him. Syraelia was excellent with dealing with any emotion really, but especially anger. She had just always known from birth how to keep her cool and radiate control in response to emotions which consumed control. She understood how he felt, she had been fluxuating between worried and irritated for a while now, though it was hard for her to feel anything more than that. Still, anything other than casual was quite a step up in the emotions department for the bound female.
Her head began to turn as if to respond 'no' with a simple shake when her attention was grabbed by an odd display. Off in a corner, partially concealed by the shade, a deer with serpent attributes stood talking down to a smaller creature... one that looked oddly familiar... it was Silvanus' kid! She was about to respond, her body beginning to display the tension she felt inside, when she noticed Astyana standing beside him. She barely managed to give a wave to Silvanus as she ran off in a sudden rage uncommon for the docile feline, heading straight for her target with a strange want of violence. Being a mother was having some odd effects indeed.
"Get away from her!" The growl was loud, and rightfully intimidating coming from a female of her build and size. Towering at 6 feet of pure taut muscle, she was a thing to behold. Never had she wanted to use her size for the sake of instilling fear in another, but it was all she could do to give the female before her a very serious warning instead of a very serious punch that would end up shattering at least some of the green-laced deer's jaw.

Ophelia dipped her head to each child in turn, smiling warmly as she was given names to place on their youthful faces. Astyana seemed a little put off, and most likely for good reason. While she and the child were both deer, Ophelia was also intermingled with snake in an odd way that left her far more akin to the mixed breed that had announced himself as under Silvanus's care. Indeed, Igal even seemed quietly at ease around her; if she were judging his calm monotone accurately.
"Igal, Astyana... It's nice to meet the both of you." Ophelia was almost tempted to make it a goal to introduce herself to all the little orphans given out at whatever event she had missed. "Not to be a --..."
Before Ophelia could even think to ask the children where or why someone was not with them, she was abruptly aware of a flash of dark hues rushing toward her. Thank goodness for that observant eye, or she would've been in for an unrivaled surprise once that 6 foot feline shouted. Instead Ophelia swiveled, arching around and hissing defensively as she thoughtlessly placed herself between the children and the Torquehelm 'attacker'. Igal was her friend's charge, she had acted first and would think later but whatever the situation she wasn't going to let some crazy feline harm a friend of her friend's.
"Why don't you give me a good reason to trust you with her first!?"
Even though she was just a 'lowly' animal, Ophelia was not going to run like a coward and leave the children to possible harm. If Astyana decided to speak up for herself, than Ophelia would back down but until then Syraelia was just another crazy. After all, Corvistowne regioners like herself didn't always receive warm welcomes from strangers.

Despite the fact that the adult female doe stood before them, he shruged his sholders and answered Astyana rather frankly. "To be honest, I don't know if she's nice. But I think it's safe to assume that if shes friends with Silvanus she can't be all that bad. Silvanus doesn't strike me as someone who would be friends with someone who was mean...or rude." He turned his rat-like head back to Ophelia, his dog ears flopped playfully at the sides of his head as he moved. He was fairly confident that they could trust in Ophelia, the way Silvanus spoke of her. They seemed to be good enough friends at any rate.
"A pleasure, Ophelia." Igal said simply, and it was as if Silvanus' words were erupting out of the small monotoned child. Igal would have learned proper manners from the buck, but Igal was not always like Silvanus...in that he did not always choose to act with manners. He certainly wasn't a brat, but Igal didn't get hung up on the same nicities that his adoptive parent did.
Before the mix could say much else however, he to witnessed a large black and purple blur heading towards them at an alarming rate. She was obviously not happy about something. Igal had enough sence to back up quite a bit, showing rat like agility as he skuttled backwards, away from what seemed to be an impending fight. The feline female he recognized as the woman who took Astyana, but the feline would not know that Ophelia didn't mean him or the little doe any harm. Ophelia didn't seem to realize what was going on either...and he anticipated a fight between them. "You don't have to worry about Astyana....Ophelia wont hurt her." he said, in his usual blunt manner to the furious feline female.
Silvanus saw Syraelia run out of veiw after having spotted something. He would have been at her heels...if a large group of people didn't decide to surge forward, blocking him from following her until they had all passed. He cursed his manners, if he was only a tiny bit rude...he would able to burst through the crowd after the female. When the crowd had thinned, he 'excused' his way through the remaining people...in search of where the female had gone, but unfortunately he was now lost himself, not having seen where the female ran off to...
Luckily...the small fight was beginning to gather an equally small crowd...and he went over to investigate, hoping that something terrible hadn't happened. He was able to see over the tops of most of the gathered's heads, and saw that Syraelia was trying to be intimidating and get to her child...who none other then Ophelia was sheilding from her. This wasn't good. The two females were mistaken about the situation...but the crowd wasn't letting him through yet again. "Excuse me! Please let me through!" he said urgently to the people who were blocking him from the impending fight.

Astyana was... quite shocked to say the least. Of all the time she'd spent with the female, she would have never, Ever expected such a reaction. It was as if her body was in slow motion. Her first action was to put a hand out to stop Igal, she didn't want him to be afraid, and her guilt let her know if this situation got bad... it was all her fault. If only she would have listened a little better, but at the same time... it was touching to know that her caretaker obviously felt so strongly for her.
"Wait! It's okay, she didn't hurt me." She couldn't say much other than that. She did trust Igal's word and all, but... what if this female did mean harm out of spite for some reason? Maybe they were more than friends and he'd hurt her and she'd come to kidnap his child as payback? There were surely tons of motives that would explain why she could have been doing something bad, or could have at least had it in mind. Fortunately for the young doe, she didn't, but she didn't know that. And Syraelia Obviously didn't either...
Unable to take a step forward, she could only hope her fragile voice was heard, arm still out as if to protect the canine/rat who had scuttled back beside her. She searched around rapidly, looking for this Silvanus character. She'd seen him once, remembered him faintly... she thought she could see him through a mask of people, but it wasn't enough, he wouldn't get to them in time to explain everything, the girls would have to work it out themselves.
--------------------
Hyped up on adrenaline and pure anger, she snarled through her bonds and took two large steps closer, looking down at the female as she gathered her chains and snapped them into a tight line as she spoke. "That... is MY daughter. You WILL move, child thief." Her voice was a single, low tone, as warning as her movements had been up until the point of speaking. She was growing tired of waiting for explanations, all she knew was that she needed to have Astyana near her, and this... this disgusting fiend would be punished. Though she hadn't carried out her crimes, she had coaxed Astyana away, and Syraelia had almost lost her.
The anger fell back under a wave of guilt and grief over almost having lost her child. This... really was her fault. Anything that could have happened, anything that might have happened already, it was all her fault for that one moment of carelessness. Where in the heck was Silvanus anyway? Shouldn't he be here defending his child as well? She glanced around but couldn't see a thing, mostly because the glance was quick enough to be a frustrated headshake of which it appeared.

Ophelia was furious. This woman had stormed up to her and began to spat a world of ungrounded assumptions at her before even bothering to stop and explain herself. She wouldn't stand for it, even if she was 'below' the towering feline. Keeping her head low out of venomous distrust instead of subservience, Ophelia continued to hiss even after she mentioned her status to Astyana. This time, however, she did at least shift.
"Child thief?! I found them unattended and only intended to keep an eye on them until his," here she cocked her head toward Igal, though she never once took her eyes off of Syraelia. "caretaker returned. Perhaps had you not been so brash you might've found this for yourself."
Ophelia was furious. No one flung accusations like that at her! She wouldn't stand for it! Especially not when they were being flung from someone who had misplaced their child to begin with. After all, had Igal and Astyana not stated they weren't lost? Surely they were given reason to.
As she shifted, however, Ophelia's yellow-green orbs fell upon a familiar glimmer within the crowd gathering around the spot that she and the Torquehelm feline spat at each other. Silvanus. Her temper curved abruptly though did not diminish. In fact, she lifted her head and focused on the crowd blocking him.
"What are you all staring at? There's nothing to see here!"
As usual, a good number of the city dwellers flinched when the 'mad scientist' turned her gaze upon them and the crowd thinned considerably within moments as Ophelia silently began to drown in her embarrassment. This would be the first time Silvanus would have seen Ophelia loose her cool and honestly it was a little shameful.

Igal was beginning to think the same thing as Syraelia. Where was Silvanus? The moment he arrived everything would be solved, and the females wouldn't need to fight anymore. Neither of them seemed to be listening to either him or Astyana, which was irritating him. They may be children, but what both of them had said was right! "You both are a bunch of fools! You'll realize when Silvanus gets here." he muttered under his breathe. There was no use trying to tell them to stop, because both he and Astyana had done that, and neither of the two females seemed to want to listen, intent on ripping eachother to pieces. If they miraculously heard him, Igal would have had the right to say such a statement. So they decide not to listen to the children unless they say something seemingly out of line?
Silvanus was pushing through the despersing crowd. Ophelia's words had gotten them to move. They had just wanted to see the over emotional females fight, not become part of the fight themselves. With a few more excuse mes he ran over to the two females, placing himself between them, his body to the side so that they both faced a side of him. He didn't really know Syraelia, and so didn't trust her with his back entirely, and he didn't want to put his back to Ophelia, because then it would seem like he was trying to be an accomplice or something to Opehlia, blocking Syraelia from her daughter. No...showing them both his sides was a better option, and altogether more polite.
"Please! This is all a misunderstanding! Ophelia is a friend of mine, she would never harm your daughter!" he pleaded, hoping he was right. A small part of his racist mind was telling him that she could have been trying to lure the children to experiment on them, but he slapped himself mentally almost immidaitely after thinking such a horrible thing. Ophelia was a good friend! She would never do something like that....Right? No...she wouldn't, she would never do that to him. His mind battled for a moment, and he became angry with himself, something that leaked slightly into his face, which he immidately regreted. He gave pleading looks to both the females...

Her eyes narrowed, but she allowed Silvanus to step between them, giving him moments to plead his case. So, she was a friend... what strange company he kept. However, she was tiring of the whole ordeal, and stepped back, hands down to her sides. "I should hope you are right. If you know anything of her realm you would understand my suspicion otherwise... if a harm on her body is out of place I know where I'll be looking." The last was not growled nor hissed, her voice was actually back to a soft neutral mumble.
Astyana was a little torn, she was frightened by the entire scene and really, at this point, wanted nothing to do with anyone. She side-stepped closer to Igal and tried to hide the fear that shone in her eyes, slowly fading into a very knowledgeable tiredness. She'd seen this scene before, somewhere different with another cast to play out the disagreement. It had ended a little differently however, and she was glad this had stopped in time.
"So... what do we do now?" She whispered to Igal, not wanting to direct any more attention to either herself or the male. With their parents' anger still fresh, it would be likely that any leftovers would be taken out on them, and while they deserved some of their wrath for running off, well, she just didn't want to take the chance.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Syraelia asked quietly, walking forward (and giving a wide berth to the female, obviously not trusting herself to entirely behave yet) and dipping down to the doe. Astyana could only nod, still shaken up, but grateful that it seemed Syraelia had returned to normal so quickly.
"I apologise, Silvanus, for my brash behaviour. You should not have needed to be any sort of peace-maker." She bowed gently at the waist before turning to the female and regarding her seriously for a span of moments. "You'd do better in the future to explain yourself instead of provoking the anger of a protective mother. I will however apologise for allowing that anger to get out of hand." It was as close as she was going to get to being civil. She had owned up to her error, but one with such a reputation as the green female had should know better than to be found with children not her own. She knew too well the unfair titles that certain realms could put onto creatures, but she had also come to accept them and act accordingly.
