Lleurela walked on for what seemed like forever, her ears tuned to the noises around her. She was on alert. .. for anything. And she strained almost wishing to hear the creaking sounds of her mother again. Finally, after so very long she saw light. And then. . she saw Finistris.
She had steeled herself during the walk down that hall. She would not be pushed around, or made to feel sick. It. .was an innocent sort of courage. One not well thought out or really very useful. And yet. . as soon as he spoke it went as soon as it came and she blinked a little. "He. . . he likes . . me?"
She worried for a moment. . what had she done to earn that liking? Perhaps she'd never know, she put a small furred paw over her eyes and went through the door.

Varestes watched as the small form on the opposite leather chair stirred. She was slumped in the chair she had fallen asleep in before, unaware of the fact that she had been anywhere else. He smiled as she stirred, waking, watching her eyes to see how she opened them.
On her breast, blazed the Jack's symbol, new and shining on her lilac fur.
He waited for her to awaken, he would wait forever...to corrupt something pure...and leave them unaware...
This...
This was power....

Lleurela's arm came up over her head as the light in the room flooded her eyes. Her eyes blinked open slowly and her arm came back down to relax on her lap. She looked around almost confused for a second before she remembered where she was and her gaze returned slowly to Varestes. She shivered a little, hoping desperately that she had passed. She still really wasn't sure if that was a pass or not.
She looked down to see the Jack on her chest and squeaked, jumping a little in her seat. Her eyes returned quickly to Varestes 'I. . when .. . I. . . Jack? Thank you!" Was all she managed to get out. She nodded in place of a bow to him. She stil felt that . . odd feeling of creep from him but her own excitement began to mask it.
"Should you eve. . . ev..ever want a song Your Highness I . . . would be m. ..more than honoured!"

Varestes' eyes slitted slightly as he smiled and nodded his head slightly in acknowledgment.
"Certainly...music would be nice sometime. I'll send for you when the fancy takes me."
He stood and gave her a small half bow, arm held out to the side to escort her to the stairs.
"I'll see you around, Lleurela...have a good time in the Court."
He watched her leave, his smile still stretched across his face, hair hanging down over the skull decoration.
