The mouse was gone too quickly for her to argue, but she wouldn't have either way. Despite her higher rank, she still reacted to the order and not to the social order. She shuffled her feet silently in the alley, waiting through the long minutes. Of course, there was always a fairly good chance that the horned mouse would just leave her there until she finally just gave up. But it would be quite awhile until she did.
Kel's ears flattened backwards in uneasy compliance as the reddish creature returned, spitting more orders. She retreated a step, but then he was trotting off again, and she only hesitated a moment before trotting after him.
Nevertheless, her strides were longer and wasn't long before she overcame his path and abruptly had to pull up to keep from stepping on him again. She grimaced, hoping he hadn't noticed her faux pas. Now she kept a close eye on him, however, weaving through the streets and the crowds with care.

Taking a left, then a right, and continuing on in the maze like pattern that would soon dizzy even the four-footed mammal, he brought her through the streets. Darting through and around the other citizens he often had to wait – quite impatiently - for the slower skunk to keep up.
He glanced over his shoulder every now and then. At one point he even hid behind a basket when she had fallen behind just to see what her reaction would be. He had had a hoot from the experience, though when she had begun to look rather distraught he had darted out again and caught her attention, acting as if nothing had happened but a brief – yet reasonably uncontrolled - separation.
Finally reaching their destination he slowed his pace, coming to a stop that he hoped she would take note of before she used him as a personal pincushion again. Turning around he waited for her to catch her breath before addressing her. “Here you go. Leigh Drive, just as you needed. That wasn’t so hard now was it? I really hope that you took note of how to get here. I would sorely hate to find myself having to help you again on such a simple task.”

Kelasia was baffled, confused, and slowly becoming panic stricken as she seemed to constantly lose sight of her guide. She had no idea how she could lose him when she was so specifically looking -for- him. At one corner, he was just gone. GONE. And she was still lost. Rounded ears went flat and her eyes flicked one way then the other in near desperation. Suddenly, there he was, waving slightly and giving her a pointed, annoyed look. She trotted after him, tail hanging as she continued her desperate attempts to not lose sight of her guide.
With how closely she was watching the mouse, she would have had to try to step on him again. However, she had no desire to, simply regarding the street with extreme relief. "Th-thank you," she stuttered out, unable to make herself tell him that she didn't have any idea how she got here, even with him leading. She would simply figure her way back home later. Hopefully.

"Think nothing of it. All in a day’s work, right? Just try your hardest not to get lost again and step on another poor creature,” he replied adding a little bit of sarcasm into the reply. He gazed up at her from his small height on the ground.
She wasn’t all that bad really; except for the forgetfulness that one simply had not notice while being around her. He could stand being around her for a pretty long length of time it seemed, which seemed to be rare these days.
After just staring at her for a moment, measuring her up, he darted forward, placing his right paw against her inner ankle on her left hind leg. Letting it settle there for only a moment, he pulled it away revealing the new permanent burn mark. It clearly showed his paw print and his branding. Snickering to himself a little, he gave a mocking bow to her before he scurried off down the street.
