[He's just IN LURV WIT THA BEAUTIFUL SMELLY WOMAN xD]
"I've actually never met a Lowlander before," she responded, finally sitting, displaying her comfort. At first she rather disliked the man, but now she was okay with him, almost taking back her 'It's not my court' thought (though there was still something about him she didn't quite like...), "Everything I know about your region is second hand information that, frankly, sounds quite louse with bias. It's not the Court of where I'm from, it's the ones here. It's me stating their actions and opinions, not my own. I have no opinion of you, yet."
Started out as a lower rank? Heilyn chuckled audibly as she watched him lean up against the wall.
"You mean you started out as a lower rank than I am now," she corrected him, "I have a history before I met you, you know."

[[ She's definitely won points with him.... feel special, only one other character has XD]]
He perked a bit that she hadn't met a Lowlander before, surely she'd seen them, but never met one? Interesting. He curled his tail forward, allowing it to rest, slightly curved, over his foot. He was rather enjoying having a pleasant conversation for once, it'd been years really since he'd had one. Not since he'd embarked on his trip to Lysaras' Court and assisted her. He was allowing himself to relax, but not fully, his past experiences wouldn't allow full relaxation... .at least not in public.
His voice took on a softer tone, gone was the bitter edge it held before, there was no need for it. Politics had no place in the conversation anymore and he didn't need to have his normal cold, bitter edge. It was times like these that kept him sane, or from having a heart attack, either way, it was beneficial.
Well then, I think it's best you met one that didn't fall exactly into what others say, yes? Sadly most of my ... people do just that.
There was the smallest bit of disappointment lacing his last statement, but he buried any such thoughts by giving her a rather genuine smile, aimed at her last comment.
Aye, indeed, I forget sometimes that people don't just magically appear the day I speak to them.
His sentence was drowned in humor, an attempt at a joke? you bet, he obviously wasn't well practiced or good at them but it was the thought that counted, right?
I was a Six, if that helps.

[Birds of a feather, man. xD Most people, she only pretends to be nice to or like to get what she wants. P: ]
"There will always be those that fit into the stereotype, that's why the stereotypes exist to begin with," she stated fairly neutrally, noting the sudden softening of his voice. The softness made the spell that much more convincing, though she thought she sensed magic in the area. Did it just start, or did I not notice it? she wondered, fearful. Preoccupied with the thought, Osias' attempt at a joke nearly went unnoticed. She gave a very small laugh, just to indicate she was listening. She was brought back from her thoughts and caught his next comment.
"6, huh? You've come quite a ways." she indicated her '8', which she could just feel would be a '9' by the end of the week. "Same, actually." It was a lie, but she gave no indication of such. She was quite good at lying. "It would be higher, but I've put off raising my rank for achieving bipedal, which you seem to have done." that, was mostly truth. As soon as she got a '9' (which she was so close to anyway), her first priority was bipedal. Work for it, or some kind of trigger. She worked, the trigger method depended on too much luck.

He was feeling rather comfortable, talking to this strange female. His mind was even nudging at him to feel a bit of fondness for her, but he was pushing that aside. He didn't need friends, or otherwise. If he wanted something, including sex, he merely took it. Besides, he preferred others to fear him, and gain respect through that aspect rather then anything else. But then again, how many willingly sat around and had a conversation with him, especially a no strings attached one? Too few, far too few. However, he decided to see how she felt after he released his spell, but he didn't wish to shock her to much so he slowly lowered his charm level while speaking.
And I've still got quite a ways to go. And I was ... fortunate enough to be born with this form.
He twitched his nose in slight annoyance when he took a pause before the word fortunate, but he had his reasons and he'd rather not think about the demons which haunted his past. It was then that he decided to dismiss his spell, leaving her entirely with just... him. And the grin that came to his maw, completely unaccompanied by, well, anything, would probably seem somewhat cruel and sinister. But really, he had no such thoughts. Those golden visionaries of his watched her carefully, scanning for any type of reaction at all. It'd be interesting if she didn't feel a change at all, he'd have to think of some slick reply if she hadn't, maybe. And this ... is who I really am.

Then, he dropped it. He had her going, and she kicked herself for that, hackles raising slightly at annoyance at herself and him, but then he dismissed the spell and left her with just him. Something certainly had to be said for that. He had willingly disengaged the spell. What was he after? Her head snapped around to survey the streets behind her. Above? Nothing. It wasn't a trap, so why was his smile so... strange? She remembered his region. Maybe he didn't know how to properly? She knew all to well what that was like. She wondered what her smile was like now, after dealing with the skepticism and avoidance from these people and wearing this damnable mask day and night. How long has it been since she got laid? the people here were too repulsed by her smell to get intimate. She was irritable and was quickly becoming outright unbearable.
In a way, she pitied him. She only had to endure these inconveniences for the past few weeks. He had it all his life.
"We're all fortunate in our own ways, I suppose. However, I feel that no matter what you are handed at birth, it's our actions and choices that presents us our true fate." Her statement was completely neutral, waiting...

He kept those golden visionaries on her form, watching as her hackles rose, and then as she scanned the area around her for any form of threat, and he wasn't surprised that she found nothing. Hell, he didn't even have a weapon on him. The children were back inside and, it being the middle of the day, not a soul was on the streets nearest them either, most were probably at their low waged jobs by now. It was just the two of them, and Osias was officially out of his element.
He did, however, nod his head softly, taking a moment of thought to mull over her response and idly bringing a hand up and resting a finger under his chin. He wasn't entirely sure how to act, or what to say being completely himself, and totally calm. It'd been quite awhile since he'd been in this state.
I believe you are right, if you look hard enough you can find a bit of light in even the darkest of places...
He took a moment and was able to soften his features a bit, no dramatic changes but perhaps he'd be a bit less... creepy?
And you needn't worry, I have no secret agenda , I'm just not exactly the best at.. .ah, first impressions?
His hand came up a bit more and that same slender digit rubbed against the scar on his nose briefly, a short display of how odd this actually was for him.

Her ear twitched. Why would he even take enough interest in her to use the spell in the first place? Why bother introducing yourself? She took note of the absolute silence of the streets. He was a Jack, so he was probably employed by a Court and not here. Was he visiting? He was probably bored if that was the case...
Either way, Heilyn kept her suspicions of him. She was still rather frustrated with herself. There was less magic out here clouding her senses than back in the magic-saturated Bog, so whenever magic was used, it was much more obvious in its contrast to the surroundings... so why didn't she catch on immediately?
Maybe it was the shock of seeing your first Lowlander, she thought, stifling a shudder as she looked over his oozing eyes and the open sore on his nose. Her cruel sense of humor returning to her, she remained silent, unresponsive, watching his reaction to her neutrality.

[Completely understandable. Did you want to just call this one finished, then?
Where should Hadrian meet Morpheus? <3]
