Aurelius was slightly predictable. Whenever he wanted to be alone, whenever he needed to brod, he came to the one place he was almost always sure to fail at doing either. There was a part of him that liked to think that this childhood playground could give him time in solice. But parks were generally populated by alot of people...unless it was some strange hour. Luckily on this particular day, there didn't seem to be much of anyone, except a family on the other side of the park, but they were far enough away that it wasn't a problem He lay on his back in the comfy grass, damp and cool and inviting. His back mohawk splayed this way and that with the pressure, his front legs tucked up on his chest, his back legs going this way and that. He simply lay there and watched the clouds go by very very slowly, feeling the wind against his side that was also carrying them away. His mind was fairly clear, today he didn't seem to be overly emo. He felt a sadness within him, but he attributed that to the fact that he was a teen...and most teens felt like shit often...or so both Igal and his mother seemed to say. Indeed, his mind was filled only with cloud formations...and sensing the world around him as he lay there.

Isolde was deeply devastated; Mommy didn't want her and Grandma Maxwell didn't tell her why... to be perfectly honest though, she didn't care. She also had no clue who her father was. He could be any of the suitors mommy had and that wasn't good enough for Isolde. Everything was so final, she couldn't take it... she had to get out of the house and away from her Grandparents. She loved Maxwell and Ophelia both but... she couldn't cope with having no control in her life. She came upon the park that Grandma took her sometimes; it was a fun place but she kind of still wished she had a real mother to take her there. Ah well, as she was walking she came upon another. He was very cute but he seemed so comfortable she didn't want to bother him so she just decided to sit in the grass quietly too. She sat down slowly primping all her fur back into place once she had sat and tried to figure out what the boy was looking at.

Aurelius didn't notice the petite girl at first, to fixated on the sky above him. His face was expressionless, his body was still, so that he almost looked dead, save for the fact that his stomach and chest rose and fell in a slow rhythm. The sky's color was that of a day which bordered on sunny and overcast, a greyish robin's egg blue of a color. It was serene. The clouds quietly went past along with the wind, but Aurelius was beginning to see shapes forming. Whisps of clouds became hair, waves, or some other such things. One cloud looked oddly like a swimming horse. He wondered if the clouds tried to tell him something, or if he was just reading to much into things.
Suddenly he heard the sigh of grass being moved around nearby him. His head turned to see where the noise was coming from. For a moment he felt a bit dizzy, but then his eyes focused on the white, blue, and purple figure in front of him. "Hello." he said blinking a bit. He wondered why the girl had decided to sit so close to him when she had the whole park to herself. She was young, and he guessed the reason why was because younger children loved to run up and speak to random older people. It wasn't exactly safe, but he knew he had done it plenty of times as a child. Her family was possibly the family that he saw on the other part of the park when he arrived.

The sky looked very serene however Isolde still could not see what this other could not. It was like one of those puzzles where you had to stare really hard to see what everyone else cannot. The clouds were just passing by and all she could think about was that her Grandma could probably see the thing too if he tried. She was trying so hard to see that she hadn’t noticed the boy staring back at her until he spoke.
“H-hi” She jumped a little. She hoped she hadn’t disturbed him any, she had tried to make as little noise as possible. “What were you looking at? I couldn’t see anything…” She asked shyly; she had a curious nature that made her have to know almost everything. It was only now though that she actually had a chance to look him over. He was cute and had little curly antlers which was endearing too.

He smiled very softly. Ah, so the young child was curious about what he was looking at! "Nothing special I suppose. I was watching the clouds. They make interesting shapes sometimes." he said, explaining himself in a few words. She sounded extremely shy, so he decided it was probably best to keep talking to a minimum until she was more comfortible, though he realized also that now that she knew what he was up to, she would most likely scamper away back to her family to tell them what the weirdo on the other side of the park was doing.
He gave her a polite smile before returning to look at the sky. Three small birds flew overhead, chirping loudly and keeping together as a group. It reminded of him and his two closest siblings Ilana and Cladius. They used to cluster in such a fashion, but now that they were all older they were doing their own things. Ilana was mostly concerned about her brother Irving. Claudius would go...well he didn't really know. He wished silently that he could have the companions he used to have as a child.

Well, he was smiling at her… that had to be a step in the right direction. “Oh, I tried really hard to figure it out but it just gave me a headache.” She admitted sheepishly. “The sky is really pretty right now though, I am glad I came over here. You just looked so comfortable staring at nothing, I wanted to know what it was.”
As she was talking, he kind of drifted away paying attention to the little birds that flew nearby. “My name is Isolde, what’s yours? How did you come to find yourself in the park?” She asked, trying to gain his attention again. It was rare that someone wanted to talk to her being so little but this person seemed kinda fun; she thought perhaps she would like to keep him around awhile. The grass was itching her delicate body so she sat up quickly.

He laughed softly, "It probably would have hurt my head to...if I saw a strange person looking at the sky with practically nothing to see...trying to figure out what was so interesting." he looked back at her. He didn't expect a young child to really know what meditation was, hell he hardly really knew what it was himself! He was normally so bouncy and full of life like any other younger kid. Aurelius was behind in maturity in some aspects, but not all. He would be fine by the time he was an adult...probably. He thought he still might be a bit childish anyway. It was no fun being so stiff.
"My name is Aurelius. It's nice to meet you Isolde." he said softly, thinking about what a pretty name that was. Then the usual wave of feelings came upon him so emmence that he had to look away for a moment so that she couldn't see his blushing...he didn't want to have to explain why. He barely knew himself. It was that emotion of love that seeped into every part of his mind when he met and interacted with someone...only getting stronger as they talked. He looked back a bit. "You are very beautiful." he couldn't help but say...mostly because he thought it to be absolutely true. Beautiful purple eyes, shiny prestine white coat with very soft impressions of light blue, letting him know she was a Lakelander, purple tufts along her legs that made him wonder if she was a mix, and even hooves and a fluffy tail. She looked so wellkept.
He tried to change the subject, looking up at the sky so he was no longer distracted by looking at the younger child. He was getting to old to really be able to say things like that without being called a weirdo. "I just walked, my family lives here in the City."

Isolde smiled at the stranger, she liked him so far which was saying a lot because she didn't tend to talk to many people. She was naive and young but she knew when she could trust someone or not and she trusted Aurelius so far.
"Aurelius, pleased to meet'cha" She said as she held out her delicate paw to him. She looked up and noticed that he was in turn looking at her... but oddly. She had never seen that look before, it kind of frightened her but intrigued her more. When he spoke she blushed brightly.
"Well, th-thank you Aurelius... that is very kind of you. Aww you live in the city! Maybe you know of my grandparents, Maxwell and Ophelia? They are said to be well known in the city." She grinned excitedly now. She loved talking about her family, she just wished she knew more about them.

The tranquil smile that had crossed his features faltered slight, but was quickly retreived so as not to alarm. He didn't know any Maxwell....but Ophelia was a name he had heard before."I believe I know of Ophelia." Oh yes...how could he ever forget the day his father introduced the two families. It was one of the biggest disasters that Aurelius had ever been in. Ophelia had alot of children that were upset at him and his siblings, one of them in particular...who was painfully oblivious to that fact that his mother Ophelia and their father were not together. Maybe this Maxwell guy was the man who Ophelia was really with? Or woman...but...Maxwell sounded very much like a man's name.
"Do you live in the city to?" it was kind of a dumb question...but he figured that Ophelia and her offspring were mostly Corvistowne...and so lived there to...but he could be wrong. He mostly just wanted to change the subject. He tried not to let on that the subject of Ophelia made him uncomfortible...she seemed like a lovely lady...but well...that day had been a bit hard on all of them.

Isolde's face brightened considerably when Aurelius admitted to knowing of Ophelia and that made her happy. She was completely oblivious to how Aurelius felt towards her grandparents...she just knew she loved her grandparents, Maxwell especially... she loved Ophelia too but she was always in her lab so she never really got a chance to talk to her.
"We all live in Corvistowne actually, I always wanted to live in the city though...So Aurelius, what do you like to do for fun? Maybe we could... umm... go somewhere? I don't really get to go out very often."
She looked up at him innocently with those big doe-like eyes of hers. He was cute...she would certainly like to get to know him better, hope he got the hint though she figured he wouldn't. Boys didn't ask her out, didn't stop her from trying though.
