A Doe must always be serene and filled with poise. Every movement, filled with fluid grace rivaled only by her Gentleman Jack. Despite the debilitating lack of hands, she must perform acts as if such a thing were completely natural from birth. Paws are not a bane, but merely a way to excel, to prove how truly graceful a Doe could be... With elegance, she must grasp the teapot's handle, holding it with firmness yet not with a coarse grip.. Ah yes.. like that.. And then she must be able to lift her cup and sip with refinement without spill.... And of course, just as that though process can whisp through one's mind, the dark liquid had already begun to seep into the dark hardwood of the dining room table. "Oh.. Bother!" Ashta's normally musical voice took a shrill tone as she all but jumped up from her seat, desperately grabbing one of the cloth napkins to dab up the mess. Oh, the Czar would kill her! He was so reserved, so proper.. and.. and.. Oh goodness! With a wimper, she did as much damage control as she could before scrambling out of the room, very much leaping with the speed and power her lithe frame was capable of. It certainly wasn't very becoming for a Lady Doe, but this was a situation that didn't require poise, but rather swift action. Luckily, the Czar would be outside during this time of day, which means she had at least some time to remedy the situation before he came back inside for the evening meal. Oh yes, the meal would be being prepared even now! That meant the leverets would be in the kitchens. She abruptly changed course down the hall, bursting into the kitchens in a panic. "Oh! Oh someone! Please help, I've made such a terrible mess of things... The Czar will be so displeased... please! I spilled my tea all over the dining table.. oh dear, what do I do??"

Two green ears perked up over the hum of organized chaos that was making dinner. Nadja slipped from the rest of the leverets and hopped up to the panicked down with a consoling smile. As she'd made her way over to the doe, she'd gathered up a few cleaning supplies and now held them loosely in a small, rolling bucket that could be pushed easily about the warren. "Now, now, Miss, don't you worry." Nadja's voice was soft and soothing, trying her best to ease the Doe's nerves. "Even if the stain won't come up properly, you won't be in trouble, Miss. Not at all."No, of course not, it'd be the leverets which got the brunt of the Czar's displeasure. Luckily Nadja was better suited to making the Czar's drinks than his meals, or she'd be in trouble for now only failing to clean up the mess but also in neglecting dinner. Oh joy. "Where was the tea spilled? The dining table? We should probably hurry to get what we can before it sets."

The Doe hiccuped softly, still rubbing an eye with her paw. "I.. I won't?" She could hardly believe such a thing, and being ever-so-naive, hadn't even considered that the leverets were the ones usually blamed for such things.
"I.. I took the table cloths to try.. and get it up.. *hic* .. and got some of it.." In fact.. she'd probably done more harm to the cloth napkins than she did the table.
Anxiously leading the way, she turned the corner to enter the dining room with her ears pinned firmly to her back in anxiety. The dining room cloths were in a wet, crumbled heat on the tea tray, but thankfully off of the wood. Looking back at the sound of sloshing behind her, Ashta couldn't help but cringe a little in embarrassment. "I know should have been holding my cup with both paws.. but my mother.. oh, she had been able to curl her claws right around that handle despite not having hands.. Oh, I was just practicing so that I could be proper for the Czar..."

The little Leveret smiled lightly, genuinely happy to see a doe that didn't seem so very self-involved. She was also insanely naive, but Nadja could enjoy that far more than haughty conceit.
"No, not at all, Miss Ashta. You'll be just fine."
Nadja inwardly cringed at the thought of what she might have done to the table cloth but she didn't show a lick of anxiety upon her features. There was no use upsetting the Doe any further. Stepping into the dining room, she once again felt the inner cringe for the table cloths but focused first and foremost on the table itself.
She would have to tend to the wood before taking the cloths out to be washed properly.
"Your mother sounds very lovely." Nadja murmured conversationally as she moved to the table, quickly beginning to tend to the tea-stained wood. It wouldn't be too hard to mop up most of the liquid and to pull up a bit of the stain. Indeed, it probably wouldn't even be all that noticable once everything was dry. "I'm sure with enough practice you'll be able to do just as well. Spills happen, Miss. That's why I'm here."
Nadja tilted her gaze back to Ashta, smiling warmly. Really, the most important part out of all this was to make sure Ashta was calm and happy. If the Czar came in to find his Doe in a tizzy, he wouldn't care a lick about the spill. Oh no, he'd be so focused on his Doe that she would be all he could think about and Nadja would probably be punished more severely for 'upsetting' her than the spill at all.

"Yes, she is. I haven't seen her since I was traded, but that is just the way of things.." Ashta murmured absently, smoothing her fur down as she calmed down a bit. Giving a soft smile, she sighed, as if trying to exhale the rest of the tension out of her body.
"Well, I'm most certainly glad you -are- here. I'm afraid I don't know a thing about cleaning anything beyond fur." But yes.. that -was- what leverets were for, after all. Come to think of it, they did pretty much everything. How very multi talented, they were! Her panic subsiding, she now watched the leveret do her job with much interest.
For a moment, Ashta considered querying about the leveret's name, but she had to stop herself and remember to ask 'what is your name' instead of 'do you have a name'. She'd learned quickly that such a question was regarded with shock, and maybe even a bit of resentment. It seemed that leverets and does were certainly more independent than they were in her former warren. "What is your name? I still haven't gotten to know all of you." And by 'all of you' of course, she meant leverets. Honestly the Doe couldn't go long before making a remark that was at least somewhat biased, but one could hardly expect a Doe to really understand what leverets had to go through. The ones that were born that way had -no- idea, and those who turned from a leveret probably forgot.

([small death] Thank you for reminding me. >_> Something seemed terribly off but I couldn't figure what. XD Good job, Vyn. >_> That's why I shouldn't pot first thing after waking up. XD)
Nadja was used to being a Leveret. She hadn't ever known anything else and, in some ways, she rather enjoyed working in a Warren. The higher ups were snobs everywhere, and when they weren't then you got a pleasant surprise, but you simply didn't make a habit out of hoping you'd meet a sympathetic Doe or an entirely understanding Jack.
Leverets were the faceless workers, they made the Warren function but they weren't really 'people'.
That Ashta asked at all was surprising, but it was pleasant and Nadja enjoyed company and conversation just as well. "I'm Nadja, Miss." She didn't expect her to know everyone's names, she didn't even expect her to entirely remember her her name. Just as well.
"I'm quite glad to be helping, I'm not the best in the kitchen." The Leveret laughed a little, flashing another cheerful smile. "So you're probably doing everyone a favor." Ashta seemed like a pleasant sort, hopefully she wouldn't mind idle banter too much.
When she was done scrubbing the table to the best of her abilities, she sat back and watched it for a moment to be sure it dried well and then turned her attention upon the mess of cloth. She'd have to take it out to be washed -- thankfully it was always on a tray for her! -- but first things first, she ought to get a new cover for the table.
"I believe a fresh table cloth is in order, don't you think? If you'd like, Miss Ashta, I can let you choose which one I put on the table? The Czar won't mind, I'm sure, especially if he knows it pleases you."

Ashta couldn't help but giggle at the leveret's remark about her kitchen prowess.. or rather lack thereof. How audacious! She loved how leverets were so brash when they got comfortable around her. Maybe that's why they were so much fun to be around.. completely different to Does and Jacks. Sometimes Ashta could hardly believe leverets even had the ability to become more than they were. Was that bad of her?
When Nadja mentioned her being able to choose the tablecloth, her reaction was almost.. bizarrely exuberant. Most Does wouldn't even want to be bothered with such menial tasks, but then again, Ashta really wasn't your run of the mill Doe. "Oh, why yes, that would be so lovely! Oh, I'd love to have a say in how things are decorated around here, you know.. so lovely of the Czar to have so many nice furnishings! Yes, just utterly delightful!" Her musical voice lilted into the higher pitches as she squirmed where she stood, unable to bridle her excitement.
It would be hard for anyone to understand why this pleased the Doe so, but with how happy she seemed.. why burst her bubble?

Nadja was quick to contain her surprise at Ashta's sudden and rather bizarre exuberance. Whatever made the Doe happy was fine by her, just...she hadn't expected it to be so intense. Not over something like table cloths. The Leveret broke into a wide smile, cheerfully humouring the unbalanced Hisstor.
"It really is very nice here, and the Czar's tastes are delightful. Come, come, let us fetch that cloth, yes? It needs a proper lady's touch, I think." Nadja was chattering casually as she lead Ashta down to the linen closets and began to shift through what was there, finding a few choices for Ashta and pulling them out in turn. "What do you think of this one, Lady Ashta? Or, what of this one?"
She'd go through each cloth like this until Ashta found a favorite, her cheerful warmth never fading. Nadja really loved the Does of her Warren, they were all such interesting sorts and so very easy to please. Escaping the Czar would be welcomed, but losing these Does as well would be a small pity.

Ashta was a fickle one, but not necessarily hard to please. Still, she would indulge herself and reject the first three presented to her with a sad shake of a head and a drooping of the ears. When a light beige cloth with warm colored leaf patterns was exposed though, her ears stood atop her head and her tail fluttered behind her with delight. Maybe that was a slightly vain choice, for the Doe had always been quite fond of colors that reflected those of the Hisstor people.
Being so delighted by the patience of the leveret, she even offered to help set the tablecloth onto the table; she so loved doing little tasks.. at least when she could do so completely of her own volition.
"This will look so lovely on the table... I love earthy, autumn tones. Autumn has to be one of the best times of year.. not too hot, not too cool." Ashta remarked conversationally as they made their way back to the table. "But yes.. you make the tea, you said? That sounds lovely. I would imagine it take skill to make a truly fine cup of tea... Then again, I would expect any Rabbit to have some skill in such a thing." Yes, even the poor servant leverets.

Nadja beamed at Ashta, growing considerably more and more fond of this Doe. She wasn't as snooty as some and she was really quite pleasant to be around -- warm and conversational. You didn't get that much from the 'higher ups'.
She quickly put away the denied cloths and hopped over to Ashta with the one she'd chosen. "I agree. Autumn is just lovely, I love the weather that time of year...and Spring, but that's not here nor there." With a little nod and a smile, she continued on. "I have to agree with your choice on cloths, I've always liked this one myself."
"Tea? Well the job is passed around, usually, but I make it too. Yes." They had reached the table now and, with a polite nod, Nadja motioned to Ashta for help. The Doe had offered, yes? Nadja would take her up on it, if she really was willing. "Do you have a favorite, m'lady? Then I can know just what to make you when tea time rolls around."
The Czar didn't like tea much, but even then Nadja knew what sort of teas he liked and when. It was also usually her job to deliver it to him, since he wasn't particularly fond of her brother. Eh.
