"It's an absolute pleasure to meet you Rais, sir! My name is Shashi." The leveret gave a bow of his head and a rather large smile. "I enjoy organizing things. In my old warrens I tended to categorize and sort books, and other things that needed fixing up in that department. I can easily figure out solutions on how to keep things as efficient as possible. If you don't need anything like that, I am more than willing to do some cleaning, though I prefer leaving cooking to the experts."
Shashi paused to think about his cooking skills. They would be his undoing if someone didn't believe one fateful day. He didn't have time to think about that though!"Sir, I can't be picky, so you can give me whatever chores you want to and I would greatly appreciate it." That sounded so much like sucking up. The rabbit's ears twitched at the thought. In all honesty the rabbit just wanted something to do.

Rais considered Shashi with a cocked brow and bent smile. Somhan knew that look. That was the look Leverets got before being assigned to waste disposal. Indefinitely.
"Well, then, far be it from me to keep you from what you clearly excel at. Library detail, then. You first assignment is complete overhaul and re-organizing. Our last Assistant Librarian played somewhat fast and loose with classification." This was an understatement. The last Somhan had heard through the gossip mill, the place was a complete chaotic mess. Nothing was where it should have been. It took monumental effort from many, many Leverets to keep this fact from their Jack. "Needless to say, he won't have the chance to make the same mistake twice."
The head Leveret gave a cheerful, curt bow. "I hope you come to love this fine warren as your home. Somhairle, take him to his post, then get back the hell back to work. You have a brunch to prepare for tomorrow."

That was absolutely thrilling! If Shashi hadn't been in front of anyone he would be more than willing to jump for joy and strike a victory pose. However he was in the company of more than one person, and he wasn't going to risk being silly in front of his new coworkers. Shashi gave a small bow, "Thank you sir! You have no idea how much this means to me!"Hopefully this work would be somewhat of a challenge. Then again this older Leveret didn't seem like one to go easy on new comers. That was all the better. Herm, how should he organize the books? Alphabetizing or perhaps a decimal system? It all depended on the volume and state of all the books. He almost wiggled where he stood when he glanced at Somhan. Ah, so he was the proper cook around here? That was actually nice to know. The rabbit waited to be led to his post. (( OOC: do you want to close this up here or do we want Somhan and Shashi to talk for a while? ))

[OOC: We can end it if you like. XD Or talk if you want to get Shashi a few more points. I'll do this post and then leave it up to you. Because I am lazy and bad.]
Unusual but welcome news, that Shashi looked so excited about his new chores. Somhan's attention to detail was usually exhausted on food preparation, and organizing a library might have driven him to suicide. Well, whatever made Shashi happy. Some rabbits had to be given wretched work out of necessity, but things ran much more smoothly in a warren when everyone liked their assignments.
"Congratulations," he told the other Leveret with cheer. He led him down the halls to the library, and smiled. The scent of old books and ink permeated the room. It wasn't quite as comforting as the smell of fresh-baked cookies, but it was close. He wondered how long it was going to take the other Leveret to get things organized and back in working order. Hopefully not too long. "This is it. Try not to work too hard. I'll bring you some lunch later."

Shashi almost skipped down the hall. He perked up drastically when he smelt the books and dust. The dust wasn't exciting of course, but the books were enough to make him practically prance. He smiled at the other Leveret, "Thank you for the help, and appreciate you bringing me lunch. If the task isn't too difficult, I may have to look for the kitchens rather than have you go out of the way and bring the food to me."
He cheerfully opened the door and was greeted by... a small version of hell. some of the books weren't even properly on the shelves. He didn't even want to think about the system. With a frustrated sigh he shrugged at the difficult task ahead of him. Shashi started with the books on the highest shelf and went from there.
Nothing was in any bit of order. This was going to take a long time to fix. Far past lunch and possibly into dinner and bed time.
(( OOC: XD well. Sure. A few more posts won't kill me I guess. *totally in class, cough* ))

Somhan didn't like the idea of someone working all day long without any food, especially when they were doing such a grueling task as complete reorganization. He also felt faintly and oddly responsible for the Leveret's well-being; he had been picked on by friends before for mother-hen tendencies. You gonna give us cookies and milk and tuck us into bed, Somhan?
So he made a very large lunch, and brought that, and when the early afternoon rolled around, he brought in a little tray of snack cakes, and in-between taking food to the other Leverets, he made a nice little dinner that he was quite determined to make Shashi stop and eat.
He placed the dinner in a basket and the basket into his mouth, and dutifully made his way to the library. The cargo was quite a bit heavier than he had anticipated. He set it gently on the floor.
"Time to eat!" he called out cheerfully.

Shashi was balanced on a ladder putting books back on the shelves when Somhan entered the room with the basket. The Esterberry's ears perked for a moment when he heard the cheery call. Setting the last book on the shelf he slid down the ladder and hit the ground with a soft thud.
He hopped over to Somhan with a grin on his face. The Esterberry never had the heart to make fun of someone who was nice. This was no exception to the rule. Somhan had gone completely out of his way to bring dinner to him when he probably had better things to do. Nice coworkers was a rare thing indeed. "I don't know how much I could thank you for this, Somhan!" Shashi said as he drew closer.
That basket looked terribly large. How much food had he brought with him. "Will you be eating with me then? It looks like enough for two people."

He was a bit surprised by the offer, but pleased and flattered. Not a lot of people offered to keep him company. Part of that might have been his own fault; he spent an awful lot of time holed up in the kitchen and daydreaming about...Best to nip that thought in the bud. Not appropriate, here or ever.
"I would love to," he said. He spread out the food. Perhaps he had gone a little bit overboard. "Oh dear. Well, at least you'll have enough for a midnight snack if you're still at it by then." Enough midnight snacks for a few days, really, especially since there seemed to be a disproportionate number of dessert treats, but he was going to ignore that. "What did you do before coming here, if you don't mind me asking? You seem very good with books. Another library?"

Oh! It was good to have company in such a new place! Friendly company that could cook and not pretend to be nice. His tail wiggled as he glanced at the food. Where to begin? He picked up one of the dessert treats and grinned.
"Oh, I did a little bit of this and that. In the first warren I worked in I was in charge of the master's library and study. I just had to categorize all his books and notes. I got in a spot of trouble after he found out I was reading all of his prized possessions," Shashi laughed nervously for a moment. If it weren't the fact that he was "pretty" he would have been deader than a doornail.
The rabbit took a bite of the pastry he was holding and lit up. He hadn't had food this good in... he couldn't honestly remember. "So, have you been cooking your entire life? This is amazing...."
