The frosted soft ground was crunching beneath her paws, the cold of early morning air biting her nose, and billowing cloudy condensation. Nemo leaned up against a large tree and squinted out into the eerie mist. She had lived in the forest all of her life, but had never really ventured through it alone before, she had always had one of her mother's, Echidna, minions at her side. Now that she had broken away, at last, the comforts that came along with her captivity were long gone, and now had to face the true dangers that run wild around her. A twig snapped to her left, catching her breath and firing adrenaline through her fingertips. As she crouched and peered around the base of the towering oak a dark silhouette was creeping steadily towards her, it seemed small, but in this forest, even the smallest of creatures could surprise you with their strength and ferocity. Behind the tree Nemo's heart was running wild, she had no idea what to do when the creature came to her, but she knew that she had to think quick. "Hi There! What's your name!" "AAAAAAAAUUUURRRRGHHHHHHHH!!!"

(OOC: Eeeee! Laura! Also: you might want to put in brackets who the post is meant for, or put "Open" if it is indeed so. But since I know, I'm going to reply. XD) She really was very curious as to what the woman was doing. She was very far on the outskirts of Capital City--not that Helena had much room to talk about that, considering she too was quite a ways away from home. But that hadn't been her fault, really. She had seen the handsome young man from out the window of Mommy's apartment, and knew that it was true love. So she had sneaked out--no one really noticed her under general circumstances, unless they were tormenting her--and followed him. Though he had shoved her away and run off when she had proclaimed her undying affection. She had given chase for a moment, but she was still very young, and her legs could not move fast enough to keep from being quickly out-distanced. So she had wandered dejectedly around the city, mourning her lost love, until she had spotted the nervous-looking woman and decided to bring her some cheer. She hadn't expected the scream. "It's okay!" she said hurriedly, latching onto the woman and giving her an affectionate hug. "I just want to be friends! Don't you want to be my friend?"

The small creature she just met was ferreting around her feet giggling and tugging on her fur. "Yes, I do want to be your friend... but you need to stop yanking on me, or I WILL eat you." She squealed excitedly and continued to jump on Nemo. "So, we're a little lost huh?" Nemo grunted through gritted teeth. "I guess we should head back into city proper then?" They trudged... and pranced... back through the forest until a distant echo of city life could be heard through the trees.
